Restoration Brothers you are more than welcome. Your restoration videos are much better than the other channels. And hopefully the weather improves in Germany so you can enjoy some summer fresh veggies. Keep up the great work.
In my early childhood in the 1970s my mother frequently told me to use the thing on green beans. It was sometimes boring, but strangely enough also satisfying to see how the machine sliced the beans.
I really like this video, but I couldn't help thinking it had really nice reliefs that could be highlighted to show the beauty as well as the function.
Nice clean-up, and it looks very smart. We can see the machine slices beans, though eating them before 'topping and tailing', i.e., stalks and all, would be unappetising. It seems like overkill, too as we easily perform this task nowadays by simply pushing our (runner or French) beans through a small handheld bean slicer. Possibly it was for a professional kitchen or, as suggested below, really intended to shred rolled-up tobacco leaves.
I love your work, although I would like to see more video I know it's hard to do them. Porcierto when I leave a message I must do it in Spanish or English
What was the first step after rust removal, what was that stuff you put on the bigger flat pieces? It’s purpose? How do you clean this after use? I love the color.
Uh, OK, but there's no way that's food safe. The rust pitting on the blades alone guarentee bacteria will have somewhere to grow and then be in direct contact with anything you put through it. There's just no way to get the inside surfaces reliably clean. I mean, you're doing perfectly good work, but that needs to be either designated decorative only or to have the cutting head unit replaced. Not trying to be a dick, the work's dandy, but, don't want people to get sick needlessly either.
Sheev Palpatine, so do I, are you trying to tell me how I should deal with my condition? Do you normally just start off from a position of ignorance by using ad hominem insults?
Caedes okay in that case it is okay. So many say they have OCD jokingly now. It is not really a joke but they still say it. My apologies for the earlier comment.
While i am not a pilot, I like to watch them on UA-cam. If you know pilots then you are familiar with General Chuck Yeager. Mr Yeager has famously said that his favourite meal is something called "leather britches". So my question is ; "are you having general Chuck Yeager over for dinner?"
I'm not familiar with this particular model but the house colour of Spong & Co who made a great many of this type of thing was indeed this bright green.
Hi, nice work, but for me a little reproach, I wouldn't grind or cement the old alloy, I'd leave the original metal structure visible. And in Germany, for example, as well as Czechs, it is more common for kitchen utensils to have a shade similar to ivory, but green isn't bad either.
It may seem old fashioned but there are cooks out there who would love to have this little baby, especially the way it looks now. Well done.
Thanks a lot!
🙂
beau travail de restauration! il est magnifique cet appareil et en plus très utile
I don't normally come across channels with so few videos. I'm glad I discovered yours.
I am very pleased
😊
Nice restore and just in time for summer to enjoy fresh beans
Thank you for your positive comment
🙂
Unfortunately, the weather is bad in Germany
😒

Awsome! One of my topten absolut favorite restoration channels!
Thanks 😊
There are also positive comments
Wow! That was a lot of work and a great restoration. Great Job!
restoration videos are my shit right now
👌
Excellent job, love the green paint job.
Well that is great. I’ve never seen one before but would love to get my hands on one. It would be very useful.
Very pretty, nice color choice
Nicely done gorgeous 👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice
The green color is an excellent choice.
👍
That thing is so cool looking! Nice job.
👍
Simply awesome. #throwawaythethrowawayculture
It's a masterpiece, has an amazing color and its style seems Victorian!
👍
Dostum, harika bir çalışma oldu. Tebrikler. Hayatımda ilk defa böyle bir mutfak aleti gördüm. İlginç ve güzelmiş.
Nicely done, sir. Tip: always use a screwdriver that fills the slot in the screw head. Better torque and less likelihood of damaging the screw.
I really like this video, but I couldn't help thinking it had really nice reliefs that could be highlighted to show the beauty as well as the function.
Brilliant craftsmanship!❤️👍🏻😊 Love the Kelly Green 💚paint...beautiful color!! Looks like a piece of art!😊
Thanks 👍
Good job
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
Thank you very much!
😊
@@MWRestoration You're welcome and keep up the good work
I dont get the body filler. Just leave the casting marks it's part of the old world charm. Seen this on many restorations and it always confuses me.
gary hart Those pits are absolutely not cast marks; they're the effect of oxidation.
Nice
me too, i like signs of age personally too which is what Me Here is arguing against
Awesome Job 👍🏽🏅
Nicely done 👍👍👍
I love your video’s😍
But there is a tip: show when the bolts are falling on those plates because that sound that comes off then is just satisfying🤤
Very interesting piece of equipment. Looks brand new now, not sure if that's a good thing?

Or pasta?
You is very educational UA-cam canal.
Thanks!
Thanks! 🙂
Dzenan Taletovic Don’t know if this helps your English but a canal is a waterway. You mean channel. Cheers.
Another job well done from you guys! 👍👍👍
Excellent work! Very well done Sir! Greetings from Southport UK.
👍
Superb job! I saw one of your videos before, and then couldn't remember how I found it! This time I have subscribed!
Really nice job there. Though I must admit, I’m not entirely sure what the device does.
Me too
Me three
Me 4
It slices runner beans
Caedes I got that but it doesn’t shell them or slice them very uniformly.
i have this same slicer...i use it to hold a lamp on my workbench
Can I give you some advice? You need to do some more restorations... excellent video.. love that shade of green...
Thanks for your tip
😊
@@MWRestoration anything I can do to help... God Bless..
None of these restoration channels use a ratcheting screwdriver. Best tool you can own imo.
Hi bro 👋👋👋very good restoration 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
I love your work, although I would like to see more video I know it's hard to do them. Porcierto when I leave a message I must do it in Spanish or English

All works are performed on 100%👍👍👍
Nice job.. but never seen beans sliced that way be for..
What was the first step after rust removal, what was that stuff you put on the bigger flat pieces? It’s purpose? How do you clean this after use? I love the color.
1. Degreased (Product I use
"""Buzil Bistro 435"""" )
2. 2k Putty / Filler
Ok, thank you
nice work! but is that a crack? 9:27
It sure looks like one.
@PlebzOr Blapparapp I think this would really be considered a RestoMod. Great work though.
Nice work 👌

nice work, I would have chosen a different color, but nice work just the same.
Nice video but that restoration wasn't nessery plus you should paint it the original colour.
Great restoration! However use of this item seems to be ... useless?
It's for making julienne cut vegetables, also known as french cut. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julienning
@@mykstreja8648 thanks for the Wikipedia link
👍
I can tell what sensible person your are just by looking how nice and attentive your work is. This is a very promising channel! Good luck!
Do you check for lead paint?
was checked 👍
keep making more videos
👍
Great job, but my OCD twitches when I see someone using the wrong sized screwdriver head for the screw!
Caedes don’t use OCD as a joke some people (like me) really have it you prick.
Where did I use a wrong screwdriver
?
which minute in the video
?
Restoration Brothers just at the 8:00 minute mark and shortly after for the rebuild. Like I said great job though, it’s an extremely minor quibble!
How did you peen the screw end that clamps the device to the table?
Probably didn't.
Númer one
👍
I could have used one of these as a kid. I still to this day won't eat a black eyed pea because of all the shelling my grandmother made me do.
While i am not a pilot, I like to watch them on UA-cam. If you know pilots then you are familiar with General Chuck Yeager. Mr Yeager has famously said that his favourite meal is something called "leather britches". So my question is ; "are you having general Chuck Yeager over for dinner?"
Leather Britches are sun dried green beans. My mother made those when I was a kid. All I can say is you have to be really hungry to eat them.
I like to see improvements in restoration quality. But paint job is really not suiting the object. You're on the right way.
I'm not familiar with this particular model but the house colour of Spong & Co who made a great many of this type of thing was indeed this bright green.
The paint job is exactly what made the resto. That, and the polishing.
Nice job! Did you use food grade finishes ?
yes
👍😎☕
2:10 What are you washing it with?
Degreased (Product I use
"""Buzil Bistro 435"""" )
No need to protect your dining table, it is already cracked.
👍🏻😂😂

"dishwasher safe"
Of course
10:00 😕?
? 😶
Don’t believe that is for beans. It looks to be a tobacco shredder. Used them at my grandpas house when we were little.
google mach nach 🙂
Squeaky!
Nice French cut green beans.
I'd recommend you not show your final results in your preview picture.
Nice, but not as good as Tysy tube. He takes it to another level. Sorry man. Just saying. But you are good none the less.
cc cc "my mechanics" too
Опять какя то бесполезная адовая машина!😄
Картины,иконы,старинные монеты,марки,антиквариат и т.д. тоже в принципе бесполезные вещи однако их коллекционируют некоторые человеки ?!!
Shame you painted it green..ug should be black
I can't agree with all the grinding. It no longer looks period correct.
In p I'm 9
I'm not a fan of the color choice.
what color would you use
?
I feel it's just not a vintage color. A different shade of green that would be more representative of the era maybe? Just my opinion :)
РУКАЖОП.....
wow! what a way to ruin a piece of history! I like things the way they suppose to be, but hey that's just me,,,,,,,,
