Absolutely wonderful from the actual restoration process and the obvious craftsmanship to the actual demonstration of the restored use of the equipment to the actual demonstration of the baking, mixing, ingredients, etc.of the baked goods produced. The only drawback was NOT being able to taste those sweet delectable baked goods. Outstanding from beginning to the end. Thank you for sharing.
Another triumph. This time something I have never heard of. My wife who is Scottish (the home of marmalade) although having heard of these had never actually seen one. So thanks from both of us !
I have to say, it is not only great that you save these little pieces of history but also that you are able to. It seems the ability to work with ones hands is a dying art. Bravo sir!
Where was this during the thousands of hours I cut citrus peel with a knife and the juice chewing up my skin, I never imagined there was anything like this. Worth its weight in gold. Lovely.
I had never seen or heard about this tool. Sure could use one. Save me a lot of time making my marmalade jam. Thanks for the eye opener. Blessings and stay safe.
What I like about you is that you show us these weird things that we didn’t know existed, like a marmalade cutter. Who would’ve known? But also things that we rarely see on other restoration channels, like boot jacks, fireplace grills and cooking devices, to name a few. I love love love your work and the skill and care with which you execute it. And your videos just keep getting better and better ❤️
I really like how it's restored AND improved with all the manufacturing / casting lines sanded down to be smooth. Increases how nice the piece looks after all the work.
You restored that into one beautiful kitchen tool...looks more like a piece of art : ) When was around 9 years old...approx, 1972, our family lived next to an elderly couple and she had one of those cutters she clamped to a big butcher block type table. On the other end of the table she had clamped a big hand cranked meat grinder that had an attachment for the meat to be stuffed into sausage casings. It was fun to watch her to use those tools.
Когда увидел шинковку понял - будут вкусняшки от Вероники. Радек вообще то старается реставрировать предметы где для теста надо что-то готовить. Наверно очень любит вкусняшки. Спасибо за работу и настроение.
Your eye for detail is magnificent. your projects always look better after restoration than buying it off the production line.love you're channel.(fantastic job as always).
Oh how cool! Another gizmo I had no idea about, but such a great restoration! Loved the paint color, and sanding out the mold marks, awesome. Didn't realize you could use the sand blaster to 'smooth' out the top surface like that... Thank you so much for another great video!
Beautiful restoration! I know what marmalade is, but never gave any thought to how it was made. Now I know. Your restorations are always careful and thorough. I like the idea of using lathe shavings to smooth the wooden part. This cutter is a great addition to your kitchen collection. Smiles and best wishes from the USA.
Was extremely fascinating to watch as I was curious how people made marmalade before you bought jars of jelly in the grocery. Excellent restoration and thank you again. 👍
Fascinating piece of utensil....now I wish I had one. That is another aspect of watching your videos.....to discover items I never knew existed. Thanks. And those cookies had me wanting to make them! Thank You my lady. Peace 💫
...ни когда не видел такого кухонного инструмента, бабушка всё время ножом шенковала, робота отлично сделана, а Веронике скажи пусть свой кулинарный канал открывает, будешь так-же помогать, удачи вам обоим и здоровья!!!
Hi Radek, Thanks for a great video which is very helpful. I've just got a marmalade cutter from Ebay and, while I'm not as good as you on some of the technical skills I will be able to do a better job renovating it now... Again, Thank you!
Just goes to show: weird devices were being made long before 'As Seen On TV' stuff, lol. Great restore! Also love the recipe, have got to try it out.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Project is very unique, have no idea what it is,never seen one.but as always y’all workmanship is over and above other restores.hope family is all good.be safe.😎😎😎👍👍👍
That was a superb video, really enjoyed it all so well done. Original parts were made really well, the castings, made better by your own improvements, were of amazing quality for kitchen equipment
Интересный "аппарат"! Работа как всегда на высшем уровне! Всего Вам самого хорошего в жизни и побольше старых, ржавых железок!🙌👍😊 Пора открывать кулинарный канал!
I also had never seen one of these machines. Where I grew up marmalade was a jelly with an additional fruit added to increase texture, ie. Peach Marmalade was peach jelly with chopped pineapple pieces in it as a binder. But this looks really good and tasty. Great job again folks. Thanks for sharing this video and please keep them coming. Texas has your six.
I enjoy watch you restore things that are very European in origin! You would not find this slicer in the USA. What is even better is the demo after the restoration. Those sweet treats looked divine!
I watch a lot of restoration videos and yours is one of the two channels I subscribe to. If there's anything I have learned, it's that there are many different methods to use which will get the results you want. As long as it works, I don't think there's a right or wrong way to do something. I also love that you show how it works. Looking forward to more videos.
Wow! Quite the range of skills in this restoration: spot welding, lathe work, sand blasting and painting. Great to see so much care in using foot safe components in the right places and nice that you could keep the old handle! I noticed some of the orange peel would escape through the sides while slicing, do you think that could be fixed by making it a tighter fit? Or maybe that just the way those old machines work.
Nice piece of equipment. I could have used that when making jams and preserves for our family. Super restoration. Greetings from the Adirondack mountains in upper New York state.

Thank you very much Joachim. Yes, one has to improvise when these screws are no longer produced. Have a nice day from the Czech Republic Radek and Veronika

I'm pleased you painted it a different colour than that ghastly olive drab. When I was in the army, a lot of the equipment was painted olive drab.
Thanks :)
