China is so beautiful, every city is different, I look forward to your new China story
OK. I think to explain something on behalf of the Chinese culture. When you see the meat hooked on the wet market, it's not for "preserve", it's for display. It's supposed to sell daily or before noon, the same as those vegetables. For Asia we like to cook and eat fresh food.
We agree! They also do this in Nepal. We are just educating the west about it :)
it s the same all over asia. anything beyond noon - watch out :)
@@JackTorr we respect what the way the West sell their food, and we will absolutely insist on our way of selling meat and vegetables 😂. it's just a kind of cultural differences, they just need to know about it, not about education 😢😂
The temple is incurable beautiful, I would love to see something like that, it look historical as well, , I also love the Chinese traditional dress the lady wearing, thank you for sharing
When it is 7 am in Beijing, it is 7 am every where. One time zone. It is called Beijing time.
Sonia is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL, I can’t stop looking at her beautiful face, she seems like a shy person too . I honestly enjoy your vlogs
Thank you so much!!
Yes, she is a bit shy sometimes.
My wife does Chinese opera also and is famous for "Emily of Emerald Hill" a monolog play.
22:21 Sophia is so beautiful, I am so glad that she could try traditional costume of Beijing opera (a kind of Chinese operas), thank you both for sharing real China with world 😊
About something Jack said, to get an opinion about a country, a person or a culture, yes, you need to see for yourself and not because somebody says you are making up your mind. It should be like that always
Great videos. I look foward to watching more!
These are not toads or frogs, they are farm-raised bullfrogs, which are very tender and delicious. Toads or frogs are protected.
Nice one guys
Those hanging meats were normally freshly slaughtered in the morning and sold out on the same day…
一般是上午卖完
It’s interesting to hear how you see China from your point of view. The tiger paw were fake,FYI China is very strict about wild animal protection policy.
Great video ❤
Have fun dudes 😊
I'm Chinese, but I have never been to Chengdu. Your video looks so nice. Hope you guys have a good time.
Direct flights are from LA, Vancouver, Aukland, Sydney, Melbourne, London, Frankfurt and Rome.
Love to watch your videos😊❤
That costume is sooo beautiful.
Going to the local market can really reflect the life of the local people. It‘s really smart. 😊
I'm in Beijing, China. Your videos are great. I look forward to sharing more. The bad attitude of the man in the restaurant is probably because the food you bought did not come from his store, but the seats in his store, so he was agitated. This attitude is not tolerant and rare.
7:10,It cannot be completely said that it is a frog, it is a bullfrog. The difference is that frogs are wild, while bullfrogs are artificially bred. Rabbits are also artificially bred. The taste of these two is similar to chicken, but more tender than chicken.
20:17,The location where you filmed happens to be where I am currently working.😀
Next stop xinjiang or inner Mongolia, maybe? Both are refreshing and breathtakingly beautiful.
Wow nice vlog
Interesting!
Good day!!!Jack and Sophia I hope you can visit the Philippines soon and experience our culture as well as the food like lechon and the beautiful beaches like Boracay and Palawan...Bless you and Sophia. Take care.
sweet couple!☺️
It seems that you failed to realize that the front fascia of the bus you took looks like a panda 🐼 😂
NNice video ❤❤❤
Nice vlog❤❤
4:21 😂Some boss in Chengdu don't like guys stay and film in thier store.
Because part of them will disappoint the vloger say the food is not good.
The others will be afraid of the vloger say the food is delicious.(😂This will make the fans visit the store, then make the boss too busy to play Mahjong.)
那老板太小气了,可能你们的早餐不是在他那里买的,所以不让坐在他那里。
Those are not toads; they are meat frogs, which are a delicacy in China. They are much, much more tender than chicken. I'll take them any day.
Sophia is so stunning, like a queen, so beautiful.
Couldn't agree more!
Sophia is truly beautiful in that general attire 😄👍
Housewives will definitely love their market and go to the slaughterhouse at 3am every day to get fresh meat. You can see the freshness and quality of the meat intuitively. (Instead of supermarket boxed frozen meat), and they sell many different types of vegetables, which is a healthy choice.
😊Chinese like to buy fresh things include meats、vegetables、seafoods. Both market and supermarket and online-platform all have these fresh things.
great
加油💪
Just subscribed. Live in Malaysia. Wife is Chinese actress but speaks better English than me. Great video.
Wait, so if I get a nomad e-sim then there is no need to also get a vpn to have access to Google, UA-cam, Facebook etc?
Having nomad makes the vpn work a lot easier as there’s servers are routed through Hong Kong.
❤❤❤❤
I came late and only saw the end of the live broadcast
But do you see dog meat being sold in the market. Only a few Chinese regions have the tradition of eating dog meat. The only country where the whole nation eats dog meat is South Korea.
There is a law in China that dog meat is not allowed to be sold in the market, but it can be bought in restaurants in the suburbs or on the black market.
Amazing Vlogs,
It’s मोहन गुरुगॅ छ्याजलो/जोजोलप्पा,

Good vlog, keep it up.
Sophia is so beautiful, especially in that Chinese opera costume
So glad you didn't show any dogs or cats in the market Jack, was getting ready to switch off. As you said there are some things you have to draw the line at. Fascinating viewing of a fascinating place all the same. Keep safe both of you 😊👍
But do you see dog meat being sold in the market? The only country where the whole nation eats dog meat is South Korea.
@@bingshannalan9331 Japanese eat whales and dolphins I believe they won't say anything about it.
@@LH1xx The Japanese who slaughtered all of East and Southeast Asia and are still slaughtering dolphins are angels in their eyes.
It is impossible to find cat meat and dog meat in the market. This is a rumor. The country that actually eats dogs is Korean, and the country that eats cats is Vietnamese. China people don't eat cat meat at all. Dog meat can only be bought in the black market or restaurants in the suburbs (legally prohibited). The rumors about China in the western media have been flooding the Internet.
You can’t find cat meat in all legal markets in China. More than 99% of Chinese people don‘t eat cats, we DONT eat cats. And dogs are only sold in a few places, like Guangxi province, it exists, but eating dog meat in modern society might probably be condemned, most of us never and ever eat dogs.
Please do visit Nagaland..
😂😂😂
Great video Jack, did you get your 100k Play Button yet? Do they have tiger parks in China like in Thailand. Very sad every one want see and play with the cubs but as adults they are very expensive to feed and care for so they are put down.
I can tell you very clearly that the wild tiger population in China is less than 100, they are rarer than giant pandas, so there is no euthanasia of tigers, your information should be updated!
@@nuo.not1033 Please read the question. I was talking about tiger parks in Thailand
@@ThailandThomas Oh, it's my fault. I'm sorry. I've been to Thailand, but I didn't know they euthanize tigers because we have so few tigers that we don't even dare people to hurt them.
Are you justifying the Chinese selling tiger paws?
The government should be clamping down on this illegal activity!!
不会,在中国伤害野生动物是重罪。
Can’t spell Nepaw without paw 😂
But seriously, those are fugazi 👍🏽
It's a bit of a funny coincidence to see so many Chengdu videos from travel vloggers come out over the past few days, but I like it! You all add something different!
There are only 4 tier 1 cities in China, Beijing Shanghai Shenzhen and Guangzhou
Glad you are 'Keeping it real' Jack and not being 'Guided' to much in China! 😉
YEAH, you will experience some cultural abrasion there, like ALL countries!!!
But large majority of Chinese people are nice people trying to get along and live life!
I totally enjoyed my time there! And got to meet some lovely people and even get invited into their homes for meals, which was a great experience and they were so hospitable!
Are you kidding????
Its 100% being guided by the government.
Why ate negative comments being instantly deleted.
Probably not by Jack, but by someone working for the government.
The other guy has already said in Chinese. The breakfast shop owner asked you to go away for you didn't buy his breakfast but occupied his table, which he thought that his customers could not use the table. He is a little mean and he should be a little kind and should understand your foreigner's background.
We wanted to eat at his place. We already asked him for food.
@@JackTorrI'm sorry, and I tried to explain for him. I think this angry man may have associated some bad stories circulating among the people. In the past there is very few foreigners came to China to date hundreds of women and posted sex videos on foreign websites. One person posts so many videos! And also slandered local women cheap.Just happened in chengdu! These things made them very angry, and perhaps your girlfriend was seen by him as Chinese.😂.But all of this has nothing to do with you. I apologize again and hope to receive your understanding! Finally hope you have a good trip in China!
@@JackTorrI’m sorry he acted that way. I’m just wondering why he did that. Most of time people in sichuan are quite chill. I’m originally from that region.
@ JackTorr I think it should be that you have too many people but you have bought a small amount of food and use the table.
This is his table, therefore, he has the right to say Yes or No. There should be no complaints!
New day, new food, yes. When traveling to China, it is necessary to have different meals. Because they have countless food styles, you cannot collect them completely.
👍👍👍😄
Замечательный город, его жизненный уровень не чета американским городам. Одно непонятно, почему все они прут в загнивающие города Америки, а не хотят жить в своих городах - первого уровня ?!?!?!
Thanks!
cool
Thankyou so much.
Great video, great Beauty.
4:10,This old man has prejudice, he thinks you won't order the food from him. It's okay, don't let a small group of people ruin the good mood of traveling.
The Thomas and Uber Cup badminton tournaments 2024 are being held in Chengdu。。。
The semi-finals are underway today with intense competition。。。
I'm from Malaysia and my country lost to China. Congrats China on getting into the finals.
I'm from Bangladesh bro.
Sophia is beautiful girl.
Hey bro, thankyou so much !
Please report that guy selling tiger stuff to the police!😢
当然是假的哈哈哈
在中国老虎是保护动物不可能在市场买卖的也觉得不可能。是假得吧!!!
Does your girlfriend speak any of the languages in China? how close are the two cultures?

Pretty sure those tiger things are fake. Not worth the trouble.
Where is your wife from.
She is from Nepal 🇳🇵
Most of the pork you see is obtained in the early morning and will not be sold for more than a day. If it's not sold that day, it turns into frozen meat. The price of frozen meat is lower than fresh pork. Chinese families will not buy frozen meat. Restaurants with high food requirements will not purchase frozen meat.
Wow.. nice vlog ❤I love watching vlogs of this cute couple 💝Sophia looking absolutely gorgeous in Chinese outfit ❤
Thank you 😊
Please do not confuse dogs used for food with pet dogs. Chinese people will also love their pet dogs as if they are their family.
People eat dogs that are specifically used for food, those dogs grew up in specialized dog farms. Each region has its own unique culture, just like cows are seen as sacred animals in some places, and as food in others. This may be a bit difficult for you to accept, but I know you will understand it.
In rural China, many families have dogs, and many people regard these dogs as part of the family. Sometimes thieves come to steal dogs in these places, when they are discovered, the whole village will come out to chase them, some thieves are beaten to death by those angry villagers.
The Chinese fist-holding salute is different for men and women. Men cover their right hand with their left hand, while women cover their left hand with their right hand.😀
Cheng Du, not only it's a city of Pandas, but also the most visited place by the locals and the tourists globally.
重庆很有名,但重庆在中国是二线城市。
Arrest that old man
大哥别乱说,那要是真虎掌你都见不到。😓
Great work by your Chinese moderators who keep deleting any detrimental comments.
nice..
Thank you! Cheers!
Was that dog carcass at 5.49 it sure looked it.
Do you have poor eyesight? That‘s a chicken.
Thats rabbit.
千万不要买地摊上的所谓老虎,老鹰,熊爪子还是什么的,是假的。
It’s real fresh meat slaughter everyday.

First tiered cities are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen. It’s Bei,Shang, Guang, Shen as the Chinese acronym 北上廣深。You missed my birthplace Guangzhou 😢 where Cantonese culture and language originated. 😅😅
Sorry my bad! Still learning :)
@@JackTorr Haha, it’s ok. I hope you can visit it and take the night river cruise on the Pearl River, visit Canton Tower, and enjoy the authentic Cantonese cuisine, the most famous of the Eight Major Chinese Culinary Styles both domestically and worldwide with the saying “Eat in Guangzhou” 食在广州,such as Cantonese dim sum, wonton noodle soup, barbecued meat such as roasted geese, roasted suckling pigs, char siu (chashu in Sino-Japanese) or barbecued pork, claypot rice, double skin milk, herbal tea, cow internal organ stew, etc. While Sichuan style cooking emphasizes on being numb and spicy, Cantonese cuisine emphasizes on freshness, original flavors and umami. Guangzhou is also the capital city of the Nan Yue Kingdom (Nam Viet Kingdom in Vietnamese) founded by Qin Dynasty (221-206BC) general Zhao Tuo (Trieu Da in Vietnamese). Vietnam got their name from reversing the two Chinese characters for the Nam Viet Kingdom into Viet Nam. Rice noodles (fen in Mandarin, fun in Cantonese, and pho in Sino-Vietnamese) was invented around that period when the soldiers of general Zhao Tuo sent to conquer the Baiyue (Bach Viet in Vietnamese) people in the south, missed their noodles, so they used rice plentiful in the wet south to create rice noodles. It’s a Chinese invention, not Vietnamese. It also started the 1000 year rule of Vietnam until the Tang Dynasty by China. General Zhao Tuo founded the Zhao Dynasty (Trieu Dynasty) of Vietnam. The capital city is Guangzhou, which used to be called Panyu. His grandson Zhao Mo who succeeded him built a mausoleum which now becomes the Museum of the Nanyue Kingdom Mausoleum. Guangzhou also has two of the world’s oldest mosques, the Huaisheng Mosque and Xianxian Mosque, built around 620 during the Chinese Tang Dynasty (618-907AD) right after the founding of Islam. Uyghurs came to live in China during the Tang Dynasty and settled in Xinjiang, which used to be called Xiyu when Han Dynasty (202BC - 220AD) emperor Han Wudi (Martial Emperor of Han Dynasty) defeated the Huns and gotten the land. Then he opened the Silk Road right after. A few centuries later, Uyghurs came to live in that region. So Uyghurs are like tenants living in Chinese territory Xinjiang. It’s absurd to say China has no religious freedom when there are tons of mosques, temples and churches everywhere in China.
Enjoy your trip exploring China. Greetings from Chinese American born in Guangzhou and raised and living in USA. 👍😃
