I am Chinese, and let me tell you one thing to let you understand China's infrastructure construction. In our rural area, there is a residential area with only three families, which is quite far from the village. In order to provide them with normal water supply and power supply, water companies and power supply companies are willing to spend hundreds of thousands of yuan extra to set up lines and pipelines. In China, poverty alleviation is not a slogan. This is what really happened to me.

One reason people move to the big cities is that, major cities naturally attract people from the villages to seek career opportunities and better paid jobs, they are the migrant workers, they are the back bone of the chinese economic miracle. And the CHN gov supported this trend because the coastal areas industrialised first, the new factories/construction needed alot of workers. This was the case from the 80s till maybe 10 years ago when the income disparity was huge between the eastern coast and the inlands provinces. But the development of ecommerce changed this gradually, now people from the remote areas can promote their farm products/ tourism etc directly to the whole country, and more and more people don't have to travel to the east coast to find a good wage. Also because CHN gov gave a lot of subsidies and development funds to the western parts and made eastern part rich cities to partner up with a poorer western sister city to help it develop it's industry, technology and social programs etc.
Another reason is poverty, because in the really remote part of the country where access is nearly impossible, people were living in extreme poverty, they don't have access to health care, education, roads, and sometime clean food and water. It's much more cost effective to build one large school with 1000 students than to build 100 schools with 10 students in all these remote villages, they can't find teachers to go there to teach because of the livinng condition, volunteers and CCP members was the only ones who were willing to go there to help them. So the gov build new towns near the area and relocated the people around the area who were willing to move in to newly built free apartments with furniture and house appliances, free schools and hospitals, so they can also have a chance to improve their live, they also get free skills trainning to be chefs mechanic etc, so they can find a job and a stable income to integrate into the society and escape generational poverty.
This is some of the reason how CHN lifted 800 million people from extreme poverty in 4 decades.

It’s more efficient to provide social amendments like housing, utilities, medical services when people live close together rather than disperse everywhere. The Chinese government is developing the rural areas to enhance agricultural production by bringing small holdings into larger production units for mechanized farming etc. The rural countryside is getting utilities and 5G. Many of the villages are becoming centre of tourist sites offering rustic living and healthy food.

All non-urban people will have a small piece of land given by the government when they are born, on which they can build a house. China have an old saying goes : ‘a good government make her people feeling happiness in their own hometowns (or translate as in wherever they living),’ so the government doesn’t force all people to the big cities, in fact, they have many plans to develop rural economy but to keep the original appearance of the countryside. On the one hand, people love how their hometowns look like, on the other hand, they must keep the farmland and wooded mountains for economy and food security of the whole country.

Our Aussie "pollies" (politicians) have been talking about a high speed train joining the major cities around the coast - for the past 40+ years - and each time, they hire some expensive "consultant" firms to do a report on the viability of such a project and every time, after paying the consultants millions, they'd shelve the plans because "it will be too costly" or "the return on investment will not be there". To date, I believe there has been 3 or 4 such proposals to have a high speed rail line and all have come to naught - a big fat zero for the taxpayers but not for the consultants who get paid handsomely each time.
Our pollies will go down still dragging the idea of a high speed train line every few years and they will raise expectations before letting the air out of the balloon each time until the proverbial "cows come home" - and not a single rail will be put down. If our pollies ability to talk is part of our infrastructure, we'd be among the world leaders in the field of talk fests.

Due to the mountainous terrain in Sichuan and Chongqing, it is difficult for high-speed trains to maintain full speed throughout the journey. To experience full speed, please go to eastern cities such as Xiamen, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Hefei, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, etc

You said you don't see the seperation between countryside and cities in any other nations.
    What?!
You see exactly that in literally every single country on earth.

They travelled from Chongqing (population 30 million) to Chengdu (population 20 million). The distance of 300km is similar to travelling from Paris (population 2 million) to Brussels (population 1 million). So the difference between the cities and villages in China would be more significant than the difference between the cities and villages in other countries.

not every old person wants to live in the city. old houses are a comfortable and familiar environment for the older generation. some of the old houses you just saw on the high-speed train are occupied by old people who don't want to live in the city, some are unoccupied, and some are used to look after fish ponds, raise pigs, chickens and ducks, etc.

In addition, the high-speed rail from Chongqing to Chengdu cannot reach high speeds because there are too many mountainous areas. If you go from Chongqing to the southeast, the speed will remain stable at 300+

Thanks for the wonderful and informative videos! Just a friendly advice when you're traveling (or living) in China but can't speak/read Chinese, you should get an translation app or a language translator device. So, if you want to ask the locals questions, it will translate whatever you say to the phone (or device), the app just translates it in voice.

Food shopping there is so real, it happens a lot between me and my wife, usually I ask my wife what do you want to eat? She always said that I don’t need anything, just eat it by yourself. When I buy food to eat by myself, she will ask: What are you eating? Then took half the food from my hand.

21:34 Blue sign says "动车组停车位置“ meaning "train group parking area".
The words on the yellow sign on the ground says "前方危险,非工作人员请勿入内“ meaning "Danger ahead, non staff please do not enter".
It looks like the blue sign is a reference point the train uses to park. For the words in the yellow notice, I think (meaning not 100% sure) that the dangerous area is referring to the metal barrier at the end of the platform that shouldn't be crossed.
So, you weren't being naughty go there to get pictures/videos. Anyway, thanks for sharing your adventure with us.

With the high speed trains going to all cities flying can be avoided, no more waiting for an hour for your flight, stuck in a small seat then waiting for your baggage at the destination, easier to catch a train where you can move around, sit in comfort watching the outside fly past.

As a Chinese, It’s a shame you didn’t receive a good impression of Chinese people before but I hope this trip can change your perceptions of us . I also want to say that a lot of Chinese grew up really really poor (my grandpa for example ate dirt for half a month to fill his belly) so a lot of older Chinese might lack manners due to being born in circumstances where they just couldn’t afford to care, but this is slowly being changed as socioeconomic conditions in China rise, and people are able to afford to be more considerate. I can also say that a lot of the elders in China, despite lacking manners, are some of the most down to earth and kind people you’ll ever meet. A lot of them hold a lot of empathy to people from worser circumstances to them as well, so I hope that this helps understand why Chinese might give off the impression that they lack manners (which I think is definitely improving!)
