OG ophidia main here. I loved it before the solar 3.0 rework as the playing with fire x3 buff + brawler modifier would literally give you infinite knives (even when you miss)

Because of how Destiny function logic works, the game thinks that ignitions with the first scorch source being melee’s are also melee kills Thus procking Knock ‘Em Down and returning at least one knife charge
I appreciate this comment a lot, I was very confused on multiple occasions when I'd get my knives back without kills and another comment asked this here - although I'm definitely not complaining!
@@wezmon3965 i mean not counting gamblers dodge XD. I know dodge resets your melee, but for example at 0:11 s. you use 2 times melee and don't kill anything neither use dodge and you get melee back. Can you explain it how? :D
@@marcoraffi935 The ignition from the knives took out one of the Taken Lenses to the left of the miniboss! So the scorched enemy counted for Ember of Searing Melee regen

I think it’s the other way around. You want knock em down as crucial because it refunds knifes while radiant.

Yeah I was never a fan of gunpowder before, but this build fills that bar up extremely fast and it just adds so much more to it

They REALLY shouldn’t have buffed it. They already need to nerf their buff before the new season starts in a few days

Personally I like to use skyburners oath + weighed knife instead of knife trick.
