FYI, even though some time will pass when you are in a cave, the day will never end while in a cave. If time were to end while in a cave, you will exit the cave at the start of the ten second countdown. At the same time, you are not allowed to enter a cave once the ten second countdown begins as "it is too late in the day".
I don't mind the longer episode - I think 45-60 minute episodes would be great! 30 minutes just feels a little too clipped. Do what's right for you obviously but I wouldn't mind if this became the trend.
Such a nice change of pace from other let's players. Instead of being very loud and blunt, each episode has been so calm, and I love how genuinely excited you are about so many things that happen.

I feel like the details are just not as audible and the music doesn't feel as alive as the previous games. I was excited for more gorgeous arrangements akin to twilight river, or even the more wacky and melodic music like perplexing pool, but that's just not what we got. 🤕 Still a 10/10 though
I only just learned that every enemy has their own music layer and was blown away. Too bad I played without headphones and the music is mixed really low compared to the SFX :(

I suggest paying attention to the music when you approach an enemy, every enemy has its own melody that changes in each area. It seems like there are also various minor instruments that come in and out
i just noticed the thumbnails for these lets play videos have unique drawings on them, and that they show what to expect in the video...very cute detail!
If you didn’t know, every enemy slightly affects the music and it adds a ton of variety to the soundtrack, for example to bass noises at 34:48 were how a bulborb affects the music.

Meanwhile, from your perspective, you'd see the entire universe end before you reached the center. (We know less time also passes for people the faster they move, which is why astronauts in orbit come back to Earth a few microseconds younger than they ought to be.) Since the time dilation here is working in the other direction, I guess this means you're approaching the center of the earth in caves, where gravity is less strong?? Except technically gravity _is_ stronger at the center, but it's pulling you in all different directions so the forces cancel out. So I guess really, less time should pass closer to the core than on the surface, rather than getting extra time down there.

Watch him make a 10-minute analysis on how Pikmin 4 transforms the music from Pikmin 1 into something new and interesting.
i love watching this and silently screaming "THERE IS A PILE OF RAW MATERIALS RIGHT THERE JUST GET IT" and then reminding myself that not every one beat the game 100 percent in 28 hours and that i need to chill the heck out love the videos tho so many exiting things await you and i cant wait for u to experience them

I wasn't too certain, but I do indeed think that maybe each creature has it's own mini-theme that's barely audible in the background when you get near. In a later area, I heard an strange music, and realized that it was belonging to an enemy on the other side of a wall.
@@superlagbro192 Nope, it's completely unique to each enemy. Some enemies that are different elements of the same enemy type like the icy blowhog have the same melody but different instrumentation. Each enemy has a version of their theme for each area they can spawn in as well which makes it even more complex. Some enemies (strangely mostly enemies in Serene Shores) have even more layers than that, so far we've found seven unique files for puckering blinnow layers.
I don’t know how to say this, but your playthrough is such a delight. I’m a huge Pikmin fan since I was a kid, and naturally teared up during the initial Title screen of Pikmin 4. Your passion and genuine love for the series at its core is so contagious, even my husband who knows nothing abt the franchise loves listening to these videos in the background.
i think having episodes be a day long feels right, as long as you're okay with having many episodes always cool to see a more candid scruffy, this has been a joy so far :)
Haven't watched the whole video yet, but yes, this game has dynamic music! Most music is played in layers, and they get added or removed depending on what's happening. When around a bulborb, for example, a wavy synth track is added. It's very interesting!
I cant wait for him to find the "mechanical harps" and the other bosses. Though I REALLY dont wanna give big spoilers... I just love his blind reactions to things.

Also, ive noticed a few framerate dips throughout the video, and that could be on the recording end or the game end, but its something that is noticeable! Otherwise, im so very excited to see you play pikmin 4 and Ooh and Ahh over all the music, sound, enemy, and overall design of the game!! Keep it up Scruffy! My brother brought up that the button you hit to continue dialogue sounds like the noise the collectables from A Hat in Time make when you pick them up and I haven't been able to unhear it since
not really surprising considering 3 did it too but it is great to see it back either way, arguably even more fitting than it was in 3 since 4 brings back many missing elements of 2

i'm absolutely loving all the musical knowledge here! the whole enemy theme bass thing is something i never picked up on despite being almost done with 100%'ing the game. its amazing what you can find out when you see it from someone else's perspective! edit: also let me just say i love the voices you're giving to these characters! thats something i barely see other people do as they either dont read it or use their own voice for everyone. i cant wait for the voices you give to the rest of the cast!

Just a tip! When throwing Pikmin into nectar, it will prioritise throwing leaf Pikmin first which is a very nice Quality of Life feature :)

I believe it's the opposite with black holes theoretically, so I'd imagine it would work the same with the time distortion of the caves.

Yea not everyone beat it 100 percent in 28 hours. It took me 41 hours.
At 43 hours still havent 100% but close. Though I spent days just farming raw materials because it was fun so that added some playtime.

I believe I a different theme for enemy's based on their element. So a fire enemy theme, water enemy theme, and so on.
