Russian Imperial Anthem (1791 -1816) - Grom Pobedy, Razdavaysya
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 лис 2021
- Grom pobedy, razdavaysya (Let the Thunder of Victory Sound) was an unofficial Russian national anthem in the late 18th and early 19th century. The lyrics were written by the premier Russian poet of the time, Gavrila Derzhavin, and the music by composer Osip Kozlovsky, in 1791. The song was written to commemorate the capture of major Ottoman fortress Izmail by the great Russian general Aleksandr Suvorov. This event effectively ended the Seventh Russo-Turkish War. It was replaced in 1816 by Molitva russkikh

Lyrics:
Grom pobedy, razdavaysya!
Veselisya, khrabry Ross!
Zvuchnoy slavoy ukrashaysya.
Magometa ty potryos!
Slav'sya sim, Yekaterina!
Slav'sya, nezhnaya k nam mat'!
Zri, premudraya tsaritsa!
Zri, velikaya zhena!

I've always felt touched by this song, the lyrics really show the love the Russian people had for her
Yeah, it’s a truly powerful song
... and the bitterness of the Russian people towards the Turkish people.
Estoy de acuerdo…i completely agree
Catherine might have been an adopted daughter of Mother Russia, but she loved her adopted motherland with all of her heart!
Sultan Selim III’s been real silent since this dropped
She is the most brilliant female monarch in my opinion! She really deserves all the praises in this song!
SLAVA ROSSIYA!!🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
she murdered her husband to seize power (albeit, her lovers, the Orlovs, weren't acting on her orders, she didn't exactly punish them), kept her son from power, left the Russian state in debt, and made it that serfs were no longer sold along with the land or that serf families could be broken up (i.e. reducing them to conditions of slaves), not to mention gave out more of those serfs and estates to her favourites in her reign than any other Russian ruler in an equivalent span. She sounds like an absolute peach
@@adam4842 yeah she is
@@adam4842 Пётр Третий был мягкотелой прусской шавкой. Екатерина уничтожила его.
@@adam4842 the "husband" who left his wife virgin for 7 years, and in the end cheated with an ugly servant girl, the "ruler" who immediately gave up to Prussia after Russia occupied Berlin. The "Tsar" who wanted to invade all neighbours and be mad Prussia's ally. Yeah, he deserved what he got. Serfs had a very comfortable life in Russia, they were paid, and protected by the nobles, all peasants wished they would be serfs so that they wouldn't serve in obligatory military service.
What I could never understand is that this foreign woman could have easily been dispatched in favor of another more Russian royal contender.
Even though God Save The Tsar is better than this in my opinion, it is still great this song had a chance to be the anthem!
God save the Tsar!
God save Catherine the Great!

A great piece of music. Catherine II was a skilled ruler, and she is actually a grandfathers grandmothers grandmothers grandmother of our present Swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf and also among the ancestors of king Charles III of Great Britain who is crowned tomorrow may 6:th 2023, a historic day. Tomorrow these two of her descendants will meet at the coronation in London. I hope she sees her descendants then, from a dimension beyond. I also hope Peter III does. It is historically still uncertain if Catherine was involved or if she was not involved in that he was killed after the coup in 1762, but I sure do hope she was not. Contrary to what some of Catherines biographers believe I believe that Paul I really was Peter III:s biological son, even if Catherine had two other children who had other fathers. If I´m right that would make Peter III grandfathers grandmothers grandmothers grandfather of our king Carl Gustaf. Both Catherine and Peter, by the way had also Swedish ancestors. Russian and Swedish royalty were previously much more involved with each other than many know, even people that have a historical interest, but I like to learn about the less known parts of history.
Sorry to butt in %50 Pole and %50 Finn speaking, well if you are refering the founding of Russias first Ruling Dynastic Family """"RURIK""" yes, Novgorod was the first capital and RURIK was a Swedish Viking. Swedish Vikings including Danish Vikings did alot of commerce up and down the Volga since the 7th century AD ( Ukrainians originated between Vikings and Rus people intermarrying living along the Volga also) . We Poles are brothers, Folklore told of 3 brothers from one Slavic Tribe spoke the same language originated just north east of the Caucasus """LECH, CZECH AND RUS""" These days Russians don,t like to talk about that, obvious and an embarrassment.Catherine was """GERMAN""" that is what I know . Yes back in those days Royal Powers married off daughters sons to other European Powers to be which brings me to the Polish Swedish Connection as in King Sigismund Vasa Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth and Uncle to the famous Gustavus Adolphus, brought up a staunch Catholic by his mother who was Polish, became King """ELECTED""" by the Polish Sejm ( never really liked that type of Polish Constitution, prevented the King from having any concrete Power and prevented Poland and Lithuania from becoming an Empire , they were for a short while, 1610- 1613) Civil War in Sweden between Sigismund and his brother , we all know how that ended, Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth still kept the Swedish emblem and herald on its Royal Flag to about Sigismund Death in 1633. It was to bad Sigismund got Religion interfering with Politics and keeping an d Empire, even though his son, Prince Wladyslaw who the boyars and Orthodox Church etc wanted him """CZAR"" was the Defacto ruler and all of Russia actually did belong to the Commonwealth, meaning from the Hapsburgs border, from the Baltic to almost the Black Sea to Vladivostok which was just founded a few years before as an outpost, the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth was the Largest European Empire that had ever existed for a short 2.5 years. Thats another thing my slavic brothers don,t like to talk about """TIME OF TROUBLES """ and Poles taking Moscow and all of Russia in just one decisive Battle, Klushino, something neither CharlesXII, Napoleon or Hitler could do.( Polish Lithuanian Armies from the late 16th to the end of the 17th century Bathory to Sobieski consistently defeated Swedish and Russian armies who heavily outnumbered them specially Russian and I also forgot the Ottomans even more so, Swedes were alittle tougher.) My descendants, settled in Poland in the 1650s, Swedish Polish Wars at that time, Finnish ancestor from what I know whats been past down was a captured Cavalry Trooper from the Swedish Army, the majority of Swedish Cavalry were Finns. As for Catherine us Poles don,t see her as Great, pretty obvious what happened to Poles in the 1770s and 1790s. Sigismund just should of let his son convert to Orthodox in public and he still could of practice in private as a Catholic, Russia would of been Polish and Lithuanian and NEVER WOULD OF BEEN A LENIN,TROTSKY,STALIN OR COMMUNIST REVOLUTION OR COMMUNIST CHINA and yeah of course no Catherine the Great Empress of Russia. Russian Royal Courts have been very prone to """BLOODY VIOLENCE"" since Ivan the Terrible, us Poles never were like that.Matter fact we have gotten along better with Germans than Russians,( The Powers to be not the people, its reverse with Russian ordinary citizens who most were farmers and peasants) just look how many wars we had with each other since 1569
@@richardrykala925 NO,NOT AT ALL THAT. I reffered to hat Peter the greats daughter Anan Petrovna was married to Carl Fredrik of Holstein Gottorp, who was a grandchild of Karl XI of Sweden, and the future tsar-familys heritage from that lineage.

I have a request, please, "Himno a Aurelio Antonio I" the anthem of the Kingdom of Araucanía and Patagonia. It was firstly the opening of a satirical opera, but then the K. A. P. government adopted it as their anthem. You can find it also as "Himno a Orelie Antoine I"
