#Obituary #DyingOfEverything #DeathMetal #RelapseRecords
"Propelled by the inhuman vocals of John Tardy, the obscenely brutal guitar tone of Trevor Peres and rhythmic brilliance of drummer Donald Tardy, Obituary redefined heaviness throughout the 1990s. From undisputed classics Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death, through an unexpected hiatus to their current creative renaissance, Obituary have pioneered, defined and expanded extreme metal, becoming one of the underground’s most recognized and respected acts." - Decibel Magazine
The legendary Death Metal icons OBITUARY return with their highly anticipated new album, Dying of Everything.
Dying Of Everything destroys in the time-honored tradition of early OBITUARY classics Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death while maintaining the killer studio sound that the band has been perfecting in their own studio since 2007’s monstrous Xecutioner’s Return.
You can hear the results on lead single “The Wrong Time” which boasts a slamming mid-tempo groove. Meanwhile, the title track boasts punishing riffs and songwriting by Ken Andrews. The album’s third single, “My Will To Live,” is a total skull-crusher. Track after track, OBITUARY solidify their legacy as a Death Metal institution, churning out some of the heaviest riffs in their career.
Like just about every album in OBITUARY’s vast catalog, Dying Of Everything is instantly memorable; it’s a skill that OBITUARY have only improved upon over the years. It’s unusual for a band that’s been around since the ’80s to be doing some of their best work in the 2020s, but that’s exactly what OBITUARY have accomplished through their do-it-yourself attitude and relentless touring on a worldwide level. “I think it comes down to passion,” vocalist John Tardy offers. “I say this all the time, but if something’s not fun, I’m not gonna do it. And we’re having more fun than ever.”
Hearing John say they're having more fun than ever shows and makes me so fucking happy! That passion never goes away!
Too cool Decibel Magazine, is there no Bassist ?!!
the best of metall group, in the world
Truth!!!!!!
It would be so cool if Obituary and Author & Punisher got together and created a song machines and metal what could be better?
Obituary is a band that doesn't try and reinvent the wheel... killer groove, double bass, solid riff and brutal vocals. Always a solid record.
But always!
U have understood
Fuckin a right!
Spin that fucking wheel !!!

They got their own signature tone, you know it's Obituary before the vocals start
Both. Vocals and sound like all "old" dm bands
@@herrietepas no they don't not at all if you think that frankly your stupid
Well actually, you think it's Celtic Frost, then the vocals start and you go: oh wait it's Obituary!
I agree that Obituary has a unique sound. That’s why I like them 😊
When Death Metal meets Celtic frost, you know it's obituary.
Obituary proves they are still one of the BEST classic death metal bands. A timeless group.
Not really death metal. Since the end complete they started playing this soft puff crap. That riff sucks
And unique, their grooves are murderous.
They are death metal , dumb A..
@@johnwalter6410 people like you are the reason mumble rap exists
@@johnwalter6410 Agreed.
John's vocals have always been one of a kind. So many death metal vocalists try to sound demonic that, to be honest, gets boring at times. But what I like about Obituary is the vocals sound like if a horror movie was a singing style. Brutal, heavy, scary, without sounding cheesy. Obituary was probably the first death metal band I got into in the 90s and I'm glad to see they've stood the test of time and outlasted so many others from that era. Great song.
"vocals sound like if a horror movie was a singing style" Nailed it!
Agree with you .. I'm a big fan of Gothic Rock . And although I know who Obituary were didn't take much notice of them . Heard this song and My Will to live and thought tge instrumentation and John Tardy's Vocals superb ... Fantastic stuff to add to my Metal Likes 🤩
I def don't get bored, but the variety he presents is appreciated.
Yeah Death and Obituary are probably my top 2 Death Metal bands all time..
Exactly
That riff is infectiously catchy. And the signature undeniable groove of Obituary is ever present. Fucking incredible!
🤘🤘👍👌👊🤘😘
what riff? there are many in this song
Maybe because it's riff by Nirvana "Dive"?
@@coryleblanc the riff that sounds really bad opening the song and throughout
That riff is something you'd play starting out on guitar

Been a long long long time fan of these guys. Even before they were Obituary. Now, 51 and to this day they haven’t disappointed me. Cannot wait to hear the whole thing! 🤟
I'm right with you, 52 here. Grew up listening to these guys in the wonderful Era of Death Metal!!
59 and i love this band! Hard to believe John Tardy still has that "voice". And the band sounds tight AF!
I been listening to them long enough to., but I never knew they were called different.??
@@jcalzada74 Before they were Obituary they were called "Xecutioner"
@@megatop412 awesome never to old to learn something new
The band that blew my mind back in 1994 and introduced me to a taste for death metal. 28 years later and it's still blowing my mind! Incredible sound and production and awesome song!! Thanks guys !!
Same…World Demise was my first introduction to Obituary. I still love that album. It is my favourite 🤘🏽
They were my gateway band too along with death. (RIP Chuck schuldiner btw)
Sounds excellent! J. Tardy is still, after years, the most significant vocalist in DM
Edit: This video was released at the moment when I was ill and anguishly suffered dental cyst. After the news of the new album I eventually felt way better. As for now the ill tooth removed and health is fine. Obituary literally saved me.
Ummmm,no
Agree
@@joeblogs4645 um, yes.
Yes sir, his voice is very distinctive. You here that voice on a country song and you'd be like .."Yep, that's John"!!
Distinctive; this is it JT still owns a distinct brand of dread
I love bands you can just always count on to deliver. Obituary is one of those bands for me and as a 55 year old 30+ year fan, it's just so cool to see these guys clearly having a total blast with a sound and style they own. Love this tune and I have no doubt I'll love the album.
I already miss Motorhead for the same reasons.
@@TheMisanthropeLives I'm right there with you. There was always a certain...I dunno...comfort in looking forward to a new Motorhead album. And tour.
Obituary have proven time after time that they are one of the pillars of true Death Metal!! They groove like no other band in the genre. My total admiration and respect always!
ABSOUTLY
They didn't sounded this good like 20 years....i'm impressed... Also... That Freaking RIFF!
Dude right!? They sound better than ever🔥🤘
Bro, which one? Both the main riff and the descending one with the ride cymbal going ping-ping-ping-ping are kick-ass.
*yawn*
@Mezzy Mez Also; Frozen In Time was released 17 years ago. What a chode.
they stole carpathian forest's I am possessed riff
Obituary still coming out with killer riffs & vocals after all these years! Great track🔥
Да, вокал Тарди ни с кем не перепутаешь! Словно окунулся в 90-е...
Obituary just has that magic I love so much.
Everytime I hear John's voice I immediately smile.
Great song! Can't wait for the full album.
Feels like comin' home
Bro I’m right there with you. I LOVE this band and John’s throat
@@RobMunoz18 The music and John's vocals go together like PB&J.
A perfect fit.
Fuckin' Obituary man...never gets old, never disappoints
Impressive choice of words. Sends shivers up my spine
I swear on my mother , God and all that is holy I read your comment just before I said that to myself 🥵🥵 fkn Obituary
The undeniable ever recognizable vocals and the killer crunch of those unique Obituary rifts! Basking in the brutality!
*riffs
A new level
Of confidence

That's right!!!!
Yup! sounds like groovy Pantera riffs to me.
33 years passed away since heard them first time and they still can impress me!
Obituary never get old🤘🤘
This song makes me want to go outside, find my neighbors and offer to walk their dog
This song makes me want to go to my neighbor and tell her she needs to stop mowing her dumb yard so much. Its fall and quit trying to mulch up your dumb leaves and stirring up dirt in the air and making everybody's cars dirty while playing this song at my house really loud!!
This song makes me want to set up a lemonade stand
Ahahahaha I AGREE!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Man, obituary never lost that sound of being kids in the garage while always being a cut above the rest in terms of raw groove. John's vocals just give them that much more of something distinct and undeniable.
I've been listening to this band for 33 years. 1990 I was in high school, and Obituary was one of my first introductions to death metal genre. This song sounds like I'm still in 1990. The band still sounds great, and one of the very best in all of metal.
Yea, im 50yrs old. I was at a record store in Cleveland to get some Overkill autographs & saw Obituary slowly we rot. Never listened to them but i bought it. Hooked.
@@matt84712 that's awesome. My 3 favorite metal bands:
1) Overkill
2) Obituary
3) Crowbar
Each band is the best in their respective subgenre of metal IMO. Thrash, Death, and Doom!

@@ytr3488 is becoming a tongue twister!
Even though it's a new song, it takes me back!!!!!
Lots of us old 50 something's still love us some OBITUARY!!! Champions of perfecting their own sound and every song is a flawless classic!! I'm glad they're still having fun because we sure as hell love what they're still giving us!!!!
Fucking A. Morbid and catchy. Grooving Death.
Love the transition from that catchy riff into John's darker verse. That half-time bridge too! They've still got it. Can't wait for this record!
this band won't be repeated in the future.. mastered their sound style vibe over time and they are in the perfection point in their career and death/heavy metal in general
Excellent as always. Obituary never dissapoints. John Tardy the one TRUE voice of Desolation,Deacay and Rot. I still get chills listening to them, glad age has served them well. When ever I hear Johns vocals in my opinion it is what something rotting away sounds like. Everytime he growls I imagine everything no matter how new or sturdy just instantly Rot away. Absolutely Epic can't wait for the album. Classic Death Metal
Damn, this makes me feel 25 years younger! Throws me right back to their beginnings 👹👹👹🤘🤘🤘🤘
Worth the 5 year wait. Hopefully Obituary can give us several more albums.
Still an absolute top in death metal, after so many years They can kill with riffs and vocals 🤘🤘🤘
Trevor Peres and his unmistakable guitar tone.
As soon as you hear the killer grooves, killer crunchy riff meets the Sawing Vocals you know it’s Obituary they have their Style you can’t pin them against anyone killer song 🤘🏻🙂🤘🏻🔥👊🏻
Living deathmetal legend still making legend songs daamnn 🤘🏻😝
Thank you guys for unbelievable gift yesterday in Seattle!!!!!!!
I grew up with Obituary. They sing basically the same thing since the beginning but man they are goddamned good at it. No surprise no fancy inventions just pure rough metal to the bone. I live in Europe and every time when I have the opportunity to see them live, I don't miss it. And every time they confirm to be one of the best bands I ever met. Grats guys and thanks for your dedication.
Hail to the old guard Obituary still holding the line!
Whenever new stuff by Obituary comes out, I am as excited as the first time I heard them in 1989. Amazing band. My favorite band of all time
Obituary never disappoint. I've been a fan for 29 years and they just keep getting better with age. Hornz and Hailz!! 🤘🤘
Obituary is the AC/DC of Death Metal. Consistent records with an iconic sound.
Listening to and seeing this it feels like high school, middle '90s.
Still one of the greatest bands in history!!!
When they go with the midtempo mood.....man....they can be really heavy and addictive.
I think this speaks of the war of attrition that is the world at the moment. Everyone is hostile, no one can reign it in long enough for anyone to save themselves - it's a pressure cooker all over at the moment.
When a band gets the basics right every time! Obituary still rules.
Still as badass as ever!!!!!
Oldschool forever🤘
Just saw them in Ohio opening for Amon Amarth, solid band!!! I am really happy listening to their discography, great sound
Now this is the sound they've needed for years! John's voice sounds better than ever and whoever recorded his vocals knew what they were doing. All of the music sounds very well balanced and very clear. Fuck yeah 🤘
Been with them since Slowly We Rot and looking forward to this one as well.
I have been a fan since the beginning I bought the CD Slowly We Rot when DCs came in the giant boxes! The music the band makes has always been top notch! Obituary forever!!
Please Obituary save the rock n roll, never stop playing
Love seeing the old guys still getting it done 🤘🤘🤘
It’s really amazing how they’ve made such landmark music even when using the same riffs over and over in different variations.
I love obituary and this song is brutal , the best band in this genre since the 80's🖤🖤💥💥
That riff sticks in your head love this shit🤘
SUCH A SWEET N BLOODY GROOVE
they've been on a roll with their last couple of albums and if this is any indication dying of everything could end up being one of their best!!
Nothing has changed from 90's and that's great. 🖤
FANTASTIC SONG OFF A FANTASTIC ALBUM. LOVE THIS JAM. . COOL ASS VIDEO 😎. . GREAT GUITAR WORK AND GUITAR SOUND. THIS WHOLE ALBUM KICKS ASS AND DELIVERS. . . HORNS UP. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Obituary just gets it done every single f****** time don't they? One of the best and most underrated bands in metal. From slowly we rot to cause of death to... well this one. I can't think of a bad album in their discography. They are deserving of the same praise carcass and death receive.
Still after so many years They can kill with riffs and vocals 🤘 death metal would not be the same without Obituary 👍 hats off and respect 💪 legend is still alive...
These guys never fail to deliver on killer music, have been and always be my favorite death metal band.
What i can talk about Obituary? My favorite death metal band of all times, they keep the same essence since the begining, come to Obituary and slowly we rot!

So now hearing The OG death Metallers am Happy
I'm surprised Relapse still keeps good bands on the label. They've gotten into hipster crap quite a bit over the years. Let's not forget them booting a band from the label, over a thank you in liner notes lol. This is also not overproduced, which is another huge plus. One of the most consistent bands.
