While checking out those books dont forget to check out your local falconry association to be able to get to know some of them. One of the best ways to find a sponsor. Good luck on your test and to your adventure in falconry. Its alot of fun.
Oh thank you so much! I am in Georgia too and I have been shadowing a master Falconer for a few weekends now on his hunts. So I am starting to do more reading and note taking. I am definitely nervous for the test.
Hi Chris, Thank you for the videos. I'm located in Gainesville and prepping for my test. I've been hunting falcons, and Harris hawks all my life under my dads, permits. However, the DRN paid me a visit and needs me to lock in my permits. Do you happen to know where I can get the GA Apprentice manual? I've not been able to locate one?
@@dfuzesl4yerz71 I would start with the California Falconry Association. They will be able to help in finding a sponsor and will be able to help with testing locations.
I've been aspiring to become a falconer for years and now I'm finally taking the plunge. Thanks for the info! I'll check those books out.

Study study study. I'm sure you will make it.
Hoping to take the florida State exam soon then find a sponsor, there aren't many near me. I've only found one but i hope to start soon
When you call to schedule your test. Ask for a list of falconers in your area. You can also check out the Florida falconery clubs.
I know it has been 4 years since this comment. Were you able to find a sponsor in Fl?
Big accomplishment, congrats!!
Thank you! Great info!
Thank you for the info Sir

Very helpful video... wondering how you adventure is going now? Best wishes from NC
Good video, thank you.
Great stuff 👍🏻
But you passed, that's awesome
have you gotten a hawk or falcon yet?
If I moved states do I have to retake the exam
Shouldn't have to most states reciprocate but to be sure you would need to check with the state you are moving to.
What part of Georgia are you in? I’m in dads county.
I'm way up in north Ga. Have you checked out the Georgia Falconry Association?
Is the test multiple choice?
It is multiple choice
Where do you go to take the test?
I took the test at the Gainesville branch office of the Georgia department of natural resources.
Georgia Mountain Outdoors thanks for the reply
