Lovely recipe Bonita. I've done this lasagna using ricotta cheese which was very flavoursome

Bonita, it is a nice version of Lasagna! The only thing I would never use is the cottage cheese, but I am not sure how readily ricotta is available in your province! the other alternative is of course bechamel sauce!

Superb. I like that you use cottage cheese instead of ricotta, I do too, I think cottage cheese taste better. When I lived in Alaska we would make this with game sausage or grind ( boo and moose) and sometimes slip in some seafood ( I liked brined whitefish stomachs or pickled salmon, or a few oysters). I have never had it with home made noodles, I'm sure it's better with them. This is the food you eat when you have nothing to do and you know you will be going to sleep lol. Thanks for the video Bonita :)

WW Suwannee I agree totally, it is comfort food that for sure. I like using cottage cheese it do taste so good and of course good for you. I've never used game meat for making lasagna but some of my friends have made lasagna with moose ground beef and sausages. Thank you so much for your lovely message and for visiting my channel. Enjoy Bonita

WW Suwannee yes for sure, the meat tastes woody and strong. I have a few dishes on my channel for moose meat. Thanks for sharing your method with us. Bonita

I love making and using the pasta sheets, however I never boil mine, I just add a bit extra liquid in my sauce and bake the lasagna . Turns out every time.

Very hardy meal! Not exactly like the American version but it looks delicious and I loved your pasta in such large pieces. So much easier than the wavy noodles we have!
