No conniption fits from Florida Sarah! Flames just add to the excitement! She’s a runner! A little TLC will make a fellette and feller happy. After all, she’s 4 years younger than me, but I’m still shiny on the inside! LOL!!
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍 . Am a believer on GM the battery should crank the engine very fast ! That does not help the engine it will hurt it than help ! Nice job on getting it to run ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. I think that battery needs to be replaced, if you have charged it for a long point and the most you get is a engine that is laboring to start , you may a bad cell in the battery. Nice job on getting it to run 🍩☕️👀😎👍
I used an oil Squirt gun filled with Gas and filled the Float bowl usually through brass bowl vent and let it sit full of Gas a few minutes. and then tried working the throttle by hand and looking for accelerator pump squirt and if it did I'd try starting it.I loved to get an old engine running again it was fun.
Doing the squirt gas thing went bad on me on a 66 Mustang. Caught my hand on fire but just wrapped it in a rag and NO burn. However instead of just restarting to suck the flame back or snuff it with a rag one of us sprayed it with an extinguisher and made quite a mess.🦇
Just fyi i added heavy battery cables (2/0 gauge) to my 47 Cadillac, replaced ground straps and cleaned out grounding spots down to bare metal and it fires over like 12V every time. My old 47 used to crank slow and you couldn’t restart it when warm Now it stars up every time.
If you want the wrong parts, oreiily can help. Worst auto parts store I have seen.-- Google said these plugs: "either AC 48 or 46-5 spark plugs can be used in early motors, but only 46-5s should be used in motors from number 31,613."
Nice video loved that shot of the carburetor!!!
She wants to run, Can't believe how smooth the old flat heads ran.Even with the backfiring.Good job!
Looks very good. Wish I had one.
This one is FOR SALE
She's gonna be a great runner & a great looker!

I'll bet that your Mom can get that thing started. Look at how many mornings she has gotten you up and moving! 😅
The timing is off thats why it keeps shooting fire!
it keeps shooting fire as it leans out, when the fuel runs out,,,not from the timing
@@tomstiel7576Your exactly right. a lean pop is what it is.

TIME FOR A LOOK AT FUEL DELIVERY DONT YA THINK ? YOUR WASHING THE OIL OFF THE CYLENDER WALLS WITH TOO MUCH SPRAY DOWN THE CARB

An 8 Volt battery will give you more cranking power and not hurt the electrical system.
8 volt battery not necessary. My original 47 flathead 6v system cranks like 12 volts with heavy battery cables and clean/tight grounds
Get your parts from NAPA AUTO ! Always right save gas and stress !
I don't know if you need to rebuild a starter or not that's just a 6-volt has it been converted it's going to turn over slowly
C'mon spend the money on a nice Die Hard battery. Why half ass it it's a nice motor either you're all in or not
The battery is just fine.
Sorry I meant no disrespect I'm just jealous of your awesome car y'all do great work@CaddyGirlGarage
