We make cold calls all the time. We cold call when we want to be the buyer (no problem) but when its time to be the seller, we respond with tension because we know people dont want to be sold to. Great video.
Selling door to door is easy for me and I can easily read a person and I know no one really talks to me crazy in person but calling on the phone is so difficult for me for some reason. It’s not that I’m nervous or shy or anything because I’m not, it just feels like such a chore that I just hate it so much. I could handle rejection in door to door all day but over the phone I don’t know what it is, but I absolutely hate it.
Josh! I've connected with targeted contacts 7 out of 10 times TO-DAY, because I told them "I am X with Y (I said my name and company, silly) and that I was looking to send that invitation. They either said, they were the person OR they got me over to the right person, then I had a phenomenal conversation and booked a meet with one. The rest said they were happy with their services, but after I "didn't" overcome their objection, they said they'd look into what I suggested and will follow-up with them within the next two weeks. Good Stuff, Man!!
Hi Josh!Im happy I found you. This video was awesome and indeed helpful. I was curious if the strategies you mentioned are applicable for real estate cold calls? I’m in UAE in I’m working as an agent but I have a huge fear of cold calling to owners to see if they want to sell or not,so I could get listings online. But I’m struggling a lot with this. I’d appreciate your response if you could advise me something or if we provide any coaching for real estate agents. 🙏
Hey Josh, this video is awesome and of course I don't want to floss the whole mouth. But, where is the next tooth? Once I get the person I need how to proceed? Is the invitation to a webinar? A call? If I reached the right person, whats next? Can you point to to a video for this? TIA
Is there a part 2 to this vid ??? There is some gold in this video. Got your tongue tied cards and poke the bear course which just makes this even better
Hey Josh for the example of person on way to hospital when you call wouldn’t it be intrusive since I’ve done that in the past like you and person was more offended saying it wasn’t my business since I didn’t know them
You could also phrase it as a statement of caring rather than an interrogative. "Oh man, that's no fun. I really hope everything's okay." This approach doesn't demand a response from the prospect which may sidestep the "it's none of your business" retort.
Normally when you cold call, any time would always be intrusive. The minute you call them, you are already intrusive. Customers have a power to lie to you. Even if they are not busy, they will still have a power to make that claim. Think about being in a cold caller position. Even if you ask them hi, is this a good time. The answer is always going to be no and they will always come up with an excuse. The reason why it is known to be cold call is because that company is expecting you to call your customers without their consent. So it is common you will catch them in a bad time. Many customers had dealt with scammers in the past so you cannot blame them for being harsh on you. The minute you even sign up to be a cold caller, you agree to be the customer's doormat. Part of doing cold calls means you call somebody you don't even know. The minute you believe you are supposed to be in charge, that customer would have a power to hang up on you. So normally when you cold call, you may get that a lot where even if your customer gets mad at you, you must be like sorry for bothering you and let your customer go. Customers normally do not depend on cold callers for anything no matter what. So of course it is your job to convince them they need your service. This is part of a reason why many people don't even feel happy in that cold calling job because part of being a cold caller is putting up with verbal abuse from a customer. Customers goes into mind your own business state because they aren't going to depend on your service.
I had seen many cold callers who is too scared to even say 1 word. There are many cold callers in the world who would freeze up in fear once a customer picks up the phone and say hello. Once a cold caller freezes up in fear by not saying a single word, a customer would already hang up. Many cold callers would forfeit their call they initiated on. So you and her on the other hand, at least you tried despite your anxiety of not knowing what to do
this dudes a hidden gem wtf💀💀
I'm surprised Josh doesn't have millions of followers... but I'm thankful because that means that I will stand out... THANKS SO MUCH JOSH!

Your tone matter. “Is everything okay?” - Caring tone.
You could also phrase it as a statement of caring rather than an interrogative.
