No, that's something that I have never done. However, when apps get deleted, they can sometimes leave behind data, irrelevant of if you clear the cache/data before uninstalling them. I always use X-plore to take a look at data on my Firestick and delete anything that is no longer needed - as demonstrated in this video - ua-cam.com/video/95i7twf0HeQ/v-deo.html I hope this helps. I have my fire stick hanging below the tv as I feel that the internet signal is not able to access tight areas behind the wall mounted tv.. this appears to also be a problem solver (although this action may upset the OCD affected folk among us) I do occasionally have the odd problem but I put this down to my fire stick being female 😋 many thanks for your video and your time in putting it together Tanya, plenty of helpful tips 😊👍

You can try utilizing the HDMI-CEC function on your TV to see if you can get your TVs remote control to work the Firestick. HDMI-CEC allows devices connected to your TV through HDMI ports to communicate with your TV. This means that with this feature turned on, you may be able to control your Firestick through your TV remote. Some TV manufacturers may not call this feature HDMI-CEC, it could be called SimpLink, EZ-Sync, EasyLink. This option can be found in your TV’s menu, options or settings. If you can’t find it, try searching the web for the model of your TV and “enable HDMI-CEC.” If all else fails & your remote still won’t work, then it unfortunately looks like you’ll have to try and borrow a Fire TV remote from friends/family buy a new one. Tanya every time I add otg cable and plug usb boot loop starts but as soon as I unplug the usb from the cable it boots as normal any fixes you can think of please?

Older stick that just keeps supposedly updating, but never gets there. Amazon flashes on screen and then starts updating again over and over. Tried different tv's, same problem. The famous unplug trick as well. One thing I haven't tried is a different USB cable. Should be able to find in my mass of cables and give it a try..

Hi, I can't get sports surge to work anymore. You can pick a game and a stream and when you go that stream you a black box like normal but there is no arrow to start viewing. I have tried several streams and all the same thing. Is there another website or app to use? Please help.

To prevent heating issues buy a HDMI splitter, plug the stick into the splitter, then run a HDMI cable from the splitter to the tv. My splitter is about a foot below the tv on a separate open air shelf and the stick never gets hot.
Hi, first keep up the good work, I had the blocker on my firestick so it wouldn't update but I've took it off and it still won't update, it is stuck on os 6.2.7.7 and won't go past that, I've been trying for about 5 weeks but nothing, have you or anyone any ideas, cheers
Sorry, I do not recommend the blocker or removing bloatware as it can have negative affects on your Firestick. As this is not something I have videos on, and neither have I used the blocker, I recommend going back to the person that showed how to use the blocker for further support. today 17-01-2024....time 808.......i factory reset my firestick many times ...just to see if it will work better ...no....still keeps stoping ...and freezing ....when i first bought the 4k firestick 3 yrs ago it was perfect now i dont understand why ... cannot watch something with out having to restart all the time ...sucks..
Does this only happen when streaming from apps? If so, you may want to think about restarting your router. Have you moved your router recently? Changed its location? Changed internet provider?
