It's from a time when Radio 5 produced a lot of stuff for younger audiences, much of it really good. I don't think many kids really sat by their radios listening to it, but over the years stuff like this has been repeated on the digital channels. If you're not aware, there was also a really good TV series of The Demon Headmaster in the 1990s (possibly it was just before your time) - well worth a watch though.
@ yeah, that’s right there was. Unfortunately though because I went to school in Belfast I was never home to watch it. I left the school at 3:30 and wasn’t home till between 430 and 5 o’clock.
I understand that; for five years of my schooling it took me 90 minutes to get home, so all I ever saw was fragments of Blue Peter and flippin' Neighbours. But in my region BBC2 also repeated the highlights of the week's kids TV on Sunday mornings. Now strictly speaking I had left school when The Demon Headmaster was on, but I confess I was still in the habit of watching the Sunday morning catch-ups...
@ I tell you what I was able to watch Horrid Henry on TV albeit without audio description but I could sort of follow it. That didn’t come on the TV until 2005 or 2006. I can’t remember but if my younger siblings were out of the house then I was home in time to watch Horrid Henry. Also grizzly tales was amazing as well oh gosh, sorry I’m going off the subject. Sadly, CITV doesn’t exist anymore. There was some good stuff on it.

Sadly there was just this one series - not least, I think, because the TV series must have arrived fairly soon after this was broadcast...
