Tama po. Outside Canada, madaming pedeng apply na Programs as long as may ielts, proof of funds, work experience from teer 0-2/3, strong connections, college graduate. Matagal ang processing talaga, 3-5years. Be patient lang, wag magmadali. Napakacomplicated talaga kung temporary ka. Dahil every 3-5 years nagpapauwi talaga cla. Matagal na ginagawa ng Canada yan. Ngayon nga, dami pa considerations eh unlike noon, basta dapat kana talaga umuwi, no choice! Mas less gastos and hassle pa kung applying for PR outside. Sigurado na, walang tapon pera.
The changes are reasonable, just wish that they implement these changes especially regarding the granting of 3year-PGWP on programs linked to labor shortage moving forward, meaning to those who have not applied for their student visa yet, not based on completion date. They should keep in mind that students application (from DLI acceptance to actual SP lodging) takes more or less a year. Example are those beginning their business diploma program in January 2025 who already have their SP approved. They planned their international education on the basis that they will be granted a 3yr PGWP. They should based the implementation date of these changes on SP approval date, not on PGWP application date, to be fair.
I think it makes more sense if irequire english test for student visa application. Not only students, but instructors as well are experiencing challenges with IS's like language barrier.

I would like to as about the specific program or job in the healthcare sector that will be considered in the long term job shortages in canada? because according to the recent update in the IRCC policy, only those programs included will be granted the 3 years PGWP. and so, would study duration (like 2 years length of study for a 3 year PGWP) still a factor for a student to be granted 3 years PGWP?.
