Came here as a skilled worker, waited 4 yrs to get approved and had to do a lot of english tests just to qualify. What I'm saying is, if you want to make it here, you need to be ready to jump on both feet. Not easy pero possible naman. No turning back for me. Wag panghinaan ng loob. You can do it, too!

The reason why they leave it’s because they are not able to practice their chosen careers here in Canada. Licensing bodies are making it hard for them to get licensed & their education credited. Canadians think they’re better than everyone else. But in reality they’re not.

Prior to even leaving the Philippines as a FSWP immigrant, we were required to attend a Canadian Orientation Abroad organized by the International Organization for Immigration, and it tackled EVERYTHING that awaits immigrants (even the period of disillusionment), as such I was mentally prepared for what awaits me. I thought all immigrants had to go through that. If they did, so much issues could be avoided and adjustment to the Canadian life would be more manageable (not easier). Mas mentally prepared ka ba for the long haul.

One thing that i'd learned for the past few years of living here in canada is to alwayscount your blessings kesa sa mga pangit na nangyayari sa ating paligid. Im not saying na i disregard natin ang mga un but if you are going to complaint about those things na wala ka naman control sa buhay, it robs us of happiness. Kahit san ka tumira, sang sulok ng mundo e meron talagang flaws, you just have to be grateful. I've encounter one filipina who arrived here in Canada as landed PR, ang sinabi niya pa sana hindi nalang siya nag CANADA sa hirap ng buhay, HOW ungrateful diba. Palibhasa hindi sila ang nahirapan mag apply ng PR. Di nila naranasan ung paghihirap makahanap ng employer to support their application. Ina, i’ve been in Canada for over 25 years, as a highly skilled person, none that i know of when they landed in Canada have a good life right away, everybody from immigrant to business entrepreneour you have to struggle for about 2-3 years before you can be adjusted to Canada life style, the main reason i came here for a long term plan for my children, free school, free health care, etc. The problem with these people coming to Canada they think when they landed Canada will feed them….No no no, you have to work hard in order to have a good life. In the Philippines even you work harder you cannot find a good life. Back in the phils I was a middle class employee with a good job and i worked hard but still i struggled to pay my kids school, health care, etc. It’s a long story about myself, my advise to those people wanted to come to Canada do your research and ask yourself, Is Canada right for me and my family?

Mga friends namin lumipat na sa US mas maganda sahoran dun lalo na sa mga nurse at engrs. Yung friend namin nag moved dun after they got their citizenship. As a nurse 135K usd income nya sya lang nag wowork at 20k lang tax. After a yr naka bili agad ng brandnew na bahay. Where as dito sa montreal 100k cad income 54k cad lang take home.

7 yrs na kami sa canada. Landed as PR now citizen. Planning to move to US. Wala na sa alright ang canada. Sobra taas at dami ng tax. Sa us single digit lang tax minsan may mga states pa walang income or sales tax. Ngayun may niluluto na naman silang exit tax sa mga aalis ng canada bwesit. Buti pa dun wala gaanong mga pana. Dito kahit saan ka magpunta may pana except mga small town sa quebec.😂
