Hope you got the order filled before the cold snap hit! Looks like you're about ready to cut more slabs into firewood.

      Hey
Dave, I got the 4 X 8 cants done, still working on the 100 1 X 10s, but they are not needing to be ready right away, which is good. This cold snap was a doosey. And yes those slabs were finally cut up for firewood, just in time. Good to hear from you! Also, that was a good video that you sent me for the tooth setter. Thanks!!

Did I hear your mill say "OW!" at 6:33? I don't think American mills can speak like the Canadian ones.

Yes sir! Lol! Hard to keep these bigger logs from coming down hard sometimes, you can feel the mill's pain. Though perhaps different language but same interpretation eh?

Hey Amanda! Great question. Most like to mill walnut and so do I, for it is one of my favorite. I liked the pecan logs and even the ash. What is neat is logs that has branched out in what is called crotch figure, (go figure) or has had a lot of stress on it that shows up in the figure of the grain as long as it doesn't cause a lot of warpage in the wood. In the future I am looking forward in getting my hands on some elm and mulberry some day or a nice sassafras log. The latter two are harder to come by. Nice hearing from you. Thanks and many Blessings!!!
