Hey there buddy how are you? I sure like your set up! I don’t have a covered work area built yet. I sure like the hydraulics, I bought the hd36v2 hoping that it would pay for the upgrades to hydraulics. I have mostly pine and western white cedar out here in the mountains of California. I’m hoping to saw some oak a buddy gave me gonna cut 9/4 so I can resaw the warp and cup out of it when dry. I really enjoy using the mill, for me it’s not work it’s like playing. So many folks around where I live like my rough sawn lumber. Nearest lumber yard is 25 miles away and has poor quality lumber all twisted and warped. I like helping folks out. Any way GOD bless you and your family. It’s so wonderful to hear some on UA-cam praising the LORD! GOD is good!

Great to hear from you!!! The covered work area will come, everything takes time. Yes, my wife and I love the Lord and serve Him to the best of our ability. We are living in unique days, though nothing is new under the sun... May HIS FACE Shine upon you in all that you do!!! Looking forward to hearing your progress!

I'm just curious as to why you set your mill up so your lead cut is always cutting into the bark side thereby dragging dirt or whatever happens to be in the bark causing the blade to dull sooner? I understand that your first cut will always be into the bark unless it's debarked. Is there a reason why you can't set up so after the first cut you would be cutting into clean wood?
