The Bugera V5 Infinium Guitar Amplifier is a 5-watt combo that you can also switch down to 1 watt and even 0.1 watts. It features an 8" Turbosound speaker which is a great little speaker for such an affordable amplifier. The Bugera V5 is loaded with a 12Ax7 tube for warmth and tone.

This demo helped sway me to buy one, also subscribed to this channel after finding this. The review was 100% on point with what the amp was when delivered. My only dislike on the amp is the max volume relies heavily on the gain knob. Super happy for the price. I previously had a Vox AC4tv-12 and it was terribly bright and a miserable amp to use, and twice the price.
Its funny I had a similar experience except im a beginner and I bought a fender bassbreaker 007 for $410. I decided after seeing a demo by Thommans guitars on 6 budget amps to get this, so I refused delivery of the bassbreaker which is great but its all gain no clean and the pedals I just invested were useless so that's my story why I just went thru all that ????lol
I have one and I own many amps and this little thing rocks. Only downside I see is the reverb is more like a room reverb loools
That amp is enormous!
MR Mitas. nah, he is really, really small!
Hahahahah, bigger than my truck, have to use both hands to increase the volume :)
Thanks for the awesome demo! I've had this amp for over a year now, it's simply amazing. I love how dark and jazzy it is.
Bugera makes great amps. I have the Trirec & 1960 both and they are epic tone monsters. This little 5 watt amp is a gem.
Thank you so much for an HONEST and down to earth review of this amp - I listened to many reviews but kept coming back to yours! yes I have bought one and I love it - they have got it spot on and it gives me all the tones/sound I want - again thank you
Just picked one up and YES, I LUV IT !!! Great sounds you get from this amp.
I just got one of these for Christmas! I played it in church this morning at 5 watts, volume dimed, gain at 3. I LOVE the sound. With my tele it breaks up just enough to keep make a nice tone at a manageable volume. I was having trouble cutting through mix, so I ended up using my compressor is a clean by pushing the level which worked great. So glad to see a proper video on this amp!
Had a chance to play one these and was completely blown away buy that tone
your playing is getting better and better. Sounds awesome.
"Loud argument volume," lol! I love that analogy, nice work.
That was great! Thanks for doing that.
Thanks for doing this demo, Shane.
sounds wonderful with the Tele and vol and gain on 12. Really really lovely.
I am tube rolling in mine at the moment. Currently liking a 6p14p-ev in the power section and a Marshall branded 12ax7.
Really opens it up and brings some great brightness to it.
Also playing it through a Bugera 112TS cab with a Turbosound speaker.
You got a great channel. Thanks for all the great vids. Keep the awesome content coming!
Thank you for this beautiful video. And thank you for talking about the digital reverb at 4:07. I was looking for an answer to this question and it's just not mentioned anywhere. So now it's clear that Bugera Infinium V5 has digital reverb rather than spring reverb.
I just re-purchased this amp.(had the original with the blue jewel light). I got rid of it to upgrade to my tweed BJ III. Then I missed having a small practice amp and bought a BC15 on sale. It was ok for a while but I ended up playing the newer V5 at my local Guitar Center and fell in love with it again!
This amp is made for Teles!!
Sounds wonderful Shane!
Agreed. PERFECT at home, versatile, fun, beautiful sounding amp.
Bought this Bugera V5 Infinium amp today, 9/22/2018 at Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood . Used a 2018 Fender Stratocaster Mexican made Player Series SSH. It just has such a thick, crunchy, fat sound with a little hint of dirt if pushed in the gain mode. Clean is my favorite sound on this amp at 5 watts. When set at 0.1 watt it's a very good practice level for room use. My son is 10 years old and it's just perfect for his practice level so he can play without any possible ear damage. I have Fender Deluxe's, Marshall's etc..this amp is great for it's price point and specific player in mind, practice, bedroom level amp!!
Great playing brother! I just got one for a small practice amp. I love it! It’s not like any of my Marshall’s or Friedman amps. But, it’s my little rocker I can take anywhere amp... Your video was a big help in deciding to buy this little amp..
What a great sounding little amp.
Excellent demo !
great review man. love your reviews. top work.
Great review and demo Shane. The amp sounds really good at this reasonable price.
I have a V5 and it's a great little amp. Because I like to mod things I put more in upgrades into this amp than it's worth but in the end it's a beast. Upgraded the OT, added a choke, and stuffed a 10" speaker inside. It is a very loud 5 watts so good thing there's an attenuator.
Sounds amazing!
I have this little amp,use it most days at home, really like it 👍
I just ordered one used for $146 shipped with a celestion eight 15 speaker. Can't wait!!
Great tone!
Great demo. Just bought one
Happy New Year !
Great job on the video!
The TS speaker is a BIG improvement over the old Bugera vintage voiced 1 that came in the original Class A models!
Mine sounded really good thru and external speaker.
And it had a TON of gain!
Good demo. Thanks. I was interested in the new version with the Turbosound speaker. I have the previous version. I love it with single coils, but too dark for me with humbuckers. Takes pedals well and sounds good plugged in to a 1x12 (can handle playing with a drummer on 5 watt mode...or mic it and you're set). Headphone out is a huge plus with a baby and a toddler in the house.
Dig the channel...keep up the good work.
great job on reviewing it & loved how it sounded with the goldtop !! :)
Thanks Terry 🙂
hey! thanks a lot for the review! it is great. I have a question though. What happens when you drive the GAIN down? I want to get this amp to play in a very very clean tone, absolutely no distortion. Can I do that with this amp, or is the volume gone when there is no drive? Thanks a lot for your help!
Benjamin Sanchez it gets clean as a bell. It's very versatile.
Excellent review mate, I'm gonna get this soon!
Cheers man! :-)
Bought one based on this review; actually, I traded my Traynor for it straight up. Probably took a hit but the Traynor was too loud for my purposes plus my Crate V1512 really does everything my YCV 40 did. Very cool little amp that has some surprising balls to it. No regrets at all.
I have the Bugera V22 and I think it's just a fine amp. For what I paid, I am very happy with it. It has all the bells and whistles, like the effects loop, two channels, reverb...hell, I use pedals for my tone anyways, so I basically just need a good clean channel, and the one on the V22 is just fine.
I just ordered one of these but I ordered the Left Handed model.
Lol now I need Left handed cables and lefty pics too. Great review Shane.
@Basil Ganglia that's because you're not left handed
Good review!
Very good!! Shane, did make a review on the bugera infinium 55? I'm think about getting this amp and your review would be awesome! ;)
Great review^^
Great video!
Man, that thing sounds so GOOD; literally I'd believe that was a $1,000 amp. Nice playing too!
I'd like to see a little lesson on that riff he was playing at 6:18. Nice groove!
Shane, get your hands on a 333 Infinium 2x12. Has everything you need. From great cleans to great bluesy crunch and a 3rd channel for your lead stuff.
If you can test one, do it.
I have this one. I love it.
Nicely done review! To me the Telly cleanish at 5W near the end of review is this amps forte. Witch makes sense to me because its basically a Fender 1959 Champ type influenced amp (Designed for the Telecaster sound). Match made in heaven as far as Im concerned. I have one from 2012, and I love it with my Strat. and yes the reverb is surprisingly good. my 2 cents, its averygoodamp.
Nice Video! Had two of them, kept one. It has something -addicting Best tip: snip out the first 10p Cap at he Input, it enhances the highs on mine a Little. Keep it Shane, unless you will miss it.
Sounds very good.
You are bad ass on that Tele my friend!
You are right it-s a great small practice amp i use 2 of them in stereo with a mixer and the grand canyon pedal. It(s sound just insane
how do you use tube amp on a mixer? DI? Mic?
I really enjoy your videos and honest opinions. Do you think you might be able to do a review in the Bugera BC15 at some point? I recently got one in a trade. It is new and i felt like the speaker sounded thin so I bought a Warehouse G8C replacement. Would love to get your opinion in the amp for blues. I am 2 years new to guitar and only like blues, especially the cleaner less broken up blues like Tab Benoit.
wow that amp is huuuuuuge ! cheers mate
I really liked the finger picking tone. That little thing sounds really good. Does it seem to be just as loud as other 5w amps
I own the v5 infinium and MAN it is good! Stupid cheap and was expecting to replace the turbosound speaker but ut is absolutely great. I only use it for bedroom practice so low volume and the speaker is fantastic for that.
Just a great cheap practice amp that’s easy to use and blows any modeling amp out of the water.
I like it,cheers
That is a pretty smart looking amp
Hello, thanks for the cool demonstration! Are the 1W or 0,1 W settings any good? Is there any advantage to them?
i had put a celestion and jj tubes in the amp! sounds pretty good!
i will sell my one, i bought me a fender bj!
I know it's a lot to ask could you do one on the same model v22 and v55 as you do the best demos on using gear .keep it up
What's that first bit you played with the Tele? Sounds awesome!
Great review, can you demonstrate that with humbuckers also?
So, check it out I use mine just about daily and I play it with the Bugera G5 amp through a 1/12 cab as well. When the two amps are played simultaneously they make an incredible blues tone you get a clear crisp tone out of the G5 and as you know a distorted edgy blues tone out of the V5. I use the morely abc pedal to split out the signal and sometimes use other amps to get other sounds like metal and rock. I really love this amp for just about all the same reasons you do: so, do yourself a favor and work up an amp blend you will not be disappointed.
I also just picked one of these up, sounds really good. Perfect for apartment playing with them juicy tones. You should try it with a nice pair of headphones, full stealth mode. Also I agree, the tone knob feels kind of worthless, mine has been full on since I have had it (I play a 335).
Levi Weiss try a Tung sol 12ax7. After I made that switch I went from always having tone on 10 to moving it between 5-8. Huge improvement.
Got to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by the tone of the amp.
For someone needing a small home/travel amp, would you recommend this or the Line 6 30w? This seems to have a nicer tone, but I wonder if the modeling of the Line 6 could keep things more interesting. I already have a Fender Blues Deluxe, and this Bugera seems to stay somewhat in the same ballpark.
I sure MISS mine! :o(
Thanks for all great videos ! Do you know if the previous model (v5) is auto-bias ?
Hi, can I get Slash distortion tone with the v22 amp? Thanks
The beginning little riff your playing. Is that a song or just kinda improv?
Oh btw, just to add. I had issues with the tube cage at the back when playing overdriven. It would vibrate so I took it out and now no issues. Also did you notice how silent this amp is when using single coils? No hum at all in my case. Love this amp
Hi, any chance of a review comparing bugera v22 with the artist tweedtone? I can’t find one anywhere. It’s like they’re never seen in the same room at the same time… thanks!
My first tube amp was the V22 non-infinium - was a great amp. But the best sounding amp IMO is the Vox AC10.
Hey.
I know it’s been four years but can u still remember if vox10 has same kinda warm and dirty sound? And do you mean vox10c1 combo?
How did you get so small ? Seriously though every demo I see on this and I like them all I actually just had a Fender Bassbreaker 007 delievered to my door and I refused it cause I decided on this for $300 less, Oh sorry my question the Tone knob is all the way up to 10 why ? does it sound bad at 5 or lower ? Thanks David
Hey man, how is this combo holding up for you? The mom and pop shop down the road from me have these and they sound pretty damn good for the money but doing research online you read all kinds of crazy stories about Bugera quality. Thanks.
Hey, have you try the head version of the Infinium amp? I really think to purchase it.
Do you think it would be giggable if you played two of them in stereo? I don't mind dirt so I'm not worried about headroom!
Hey guys & gals! How does this one take pedals? Any experience? I like a good blues overdrive (various in the drawer, a delay and sometimes a Boss Fender Reverb pedal).
Sounds like you would want to get a treble booster for this amp. Tone knob is turned to 8 but it sounds like it is on 2.
Hi,
Bugera V5 will be great upragade my champion20 ? I wonder if i have any benefits buying V5.
I like warm jazz blues sound i Play semi hollow body guitar.
Thank you.
They're great. Best with sss
What is the best the artist 5watt valve or the 5 watt bugera. I have a boss gt100
i have the v22 and love it...did you know the gain structure is modeled the same as peavy mace and duece of lynard skynard fame
So you like the V22 im just a beginner but im struggling what to get I saw that infintum V22 or something like that that's how I found this, the $$ seemed better for me but now im hearing this can get dark or muddy at certain volumes, so if its worth the extra$$ for the 22 and since skynard is boss - so you can get clean and gain from the V22 ?
Fantastic amp (and great playing!). I put a Jensen mod8, NOS EI 12ax7, and a NOS USSR 6P14P tube in it, and it will get you that last little bit of brightness you need out of it. The stock speaker is way dark, and the tubes aren't very awesome either. With those 3 little changes, I play this thing more than any of my other amps.
I went a little further with the mods: Upgraded the OT, added a choke, and stuffed a 10" speaker inside. That amp is a beast. I don't know if the volume increased or what but it is a VERY loud five watts.
I have one and it's well worth the money I have pedals that cost more than this amp. Cool little amplifier to fire up at night when I don't feel like warming up the tubes in my deluxe reverb
Is this at 5 watts louder than the smaller sized V 15, which is rated at 15 watts?
Is this better than orange crush 12? Why go to valve state combo? Just a question, because I bought something solid tate and I regret it.
Is it loud enough to use with live drums at 5 watts?
Nice amp I use one.
A clean tone with all three guitars would've been nice. Good review though
I have two!
Good review mate! Got mine a few weeks ago. Absolutely love this little amp! Great tone for the size and price. It even drives my 2x12 cab. With an attenuator and a muted 1/4 jack for headphones, this amp ticked all the boxes for me.
Wait are you running it through another amp?
Shane please review the v22 im betweem a mustang and a v22 and i want your opinion
I sold a strat to someone who tried it out on this amp. I was instantly like damn that sounds good. I like it way better than my katana. SS/Modeling just isn't there yet.
I have to Katana 50 combo mk1. I think it's lacking in the blues compared to other amps i have
If it would have an FX loop and a 3 band eq would be the perfect amp. Low wattage, tubes, cheap and great sound
fuckin a. love the sound of this amp. found one on facebook marketplace. this review just convinced me to get it. im a lefty too. so. took that as a sign. haha.
Can we hear it with some pedals?
How is the Headphone output ?
Good lord those p90s do bite
I want one but I have ordered the v55
