Hey guys! So today we are looking at the three Ipsy Glam Bag Plus bags that I received. The interesting thing is I didn't agree to pay for at least one of these bags. Ipsy has taken it upon themselves to charge to upgrade me without my permission and charge me for a bag I did not agree to buy. From comments on my previous video I don't think I am the only one having this issue. I know I should have noticed it sooner but when you get this many subscriptions it can be difficult to keep track and I am horribly unorganized as you all know! This is on me as well because I didn't notice I was being charged without my permission but It something that shouldn't have happened in the first place! I have mentioned in months past that I never know how many upgraded Ipsy bags Im going to get, they seems to never send me a consistent number. I am going to look into this further and get to the bottom of it! Let me know what you guys think about all of this! Love ya💖

Hi! I had a similar problem with GBX and just ended up canceling my subscription all together. I did sign up with Boxy Charm even though I know IPSY owns the business. At least I am receiving products from well known brands 🙌. I was going through IPSY Care and using the BOT and being able to get in touch with customer service team. Give the BOT a try and go through the process even though it is rather annoying 🙄. Hopefully you will be able to get this major problem fixed. Best of luck to you 👍 ❤️!
It actually is legal I forget what the technical term for it is but Verb energy bars does the same thing. They don't have a subscription but after you buy something they will continue to charge the to your card every month until you report it to them you don't want the to take your money.
PSA: If a company uses your credit card details/financial info to sign you up for services or products you did not request, that is called fraud. Unauthorized purchases are categorized as fraud under fiscal law and you are entitled to pursue this legally if you can prove you did not sign up or authorize the use of your information for those purchases.
I wish I’d been more informed of this when a cable company used a cheque I used for payment for installation to get my banking details and set up automatic transfers
I actually came here to say that. It's sad that ipsy has turned into a company that uses such deceptive business practices. I used to like them, but it honestly makes me glad that I cancelled my subscription awhile back.
The giving of store points instead of refunds tells me that this has probably been a systemic issue that is so large that they literally can't afford to repay all of the wrongful charges. Might have been an accident of their system, but they need to give some visibility to what's happening to instill that good good consumer confidence.
It's also illegal. They can not force you to take merchandise in kind for misuse of your money. The federal trade commission would eat them alive if they were reported/investigated.
It could be that or because they get these items at least at wholesale they still make a profit off their theft and you shut up about it. So it looks like they're doing something when in reality you still got scammed
@@caifengforever2796 They don't pay for the items at all. Businesses pay to be included. That's the business model. So they're being completely shady, with a side of possible fraud.
Constructive things to do for anyone getting charged: Call your bank and tell them to stop payments to Ipsy, let them know you've been attempting to cancel and they keep charging you. They will stop the charges from their end if Ipsy won't. (If you can keep evidence of your cancelation attempts, that's even better) Also, maybe message the recent brands that have been in Ipsy bags with what's going on? If Ipsy won't respond, those brands will care to not be associated with Ipsy if they know about the problem.
@@teramarie779 not if it’s electronic they usually don’t. I had similar issue with a gym that I did some personal training sessions with & anytime I tried to contact them to cancel there was never anyone able to do it. This was with Bank of America.
Change your billing to a prepaid card with $5 on it. Delete all other cards. Then you don't have to waste any time calling anyone. No more mistakes in billing again.
Just casually scrolling for a minute I can see at least 20+ people reporting some sort of fraud, unauthorized charge, or cancelation issue resulting in charges. That is too many for this sample size. That's extremely disturbing

It’s illegal to not give refunds for charges not approved and also for not fulfilling a promise I.e, if they said something was free and then charged you or didn’t follow through with promotions. I have gotten refunds before leaving and did not let go until I received money in my bank. If the person doesn’t help you, do it again with someone else
Alexandria, you can control who gets payments in your PayPal account, just go to manage reoccurring payments, and remove Ipsy from being allowed to get any money from you.
@@thatonepopularteacher6321 If that route doesn’t work for whatever reason, contact your bank or your card that’s connected to your PayPal and report it as fraud that way. FDIC banks do not play around, and they will get you your money back usually that day. I’m sorry that they got you too.
I’m getting very frustrated with Ipsy, they offered me a free bag if I didn’t cancel for March but ended up charging me twice and they’re customer service says there are no refunds at all
Don’t give up. They will give refunds if you push the issue. Especially if it’s a promise for product you were offered and then charged without approval. That’s fraud and def illegal
I say this as someone who works for a bank, but CALL YOUR BANK. They're there to advocate for you, these companies honestly don't care who they rip off.
When I decided to cancel my Ipsy subscription, they made it very difficultl. As you said, they have no customer service and it was very difficult to find where to cancel in their website. I sent an email and thankfully someone responded and cancelled my account.... HOWEVER, next month I received some products... again, I emailed them and they said they had cancelled my subscription but this what something different... What??? ... I told them to cancel EVERYTHING... NEVER will I ever subscribe to them. Their business practices sound like fraud to me.
I cancelled my Ipsy but was still getting charged for them each month. I sent them a DM on Twitter and someone got back to me within minutes and re-cancelled my account for me. I was obviously pissed that I had issues to begin with, but I haven’t been charged since they helped me!
The good thing with Paypal is you can contact them in order to stop charges. That's so incredibly shady that it's not showing up in your account as a subscription so there's not way to cancel it, like the fact that it's hidden within your account somehow is odd, Ipsy's gonna end up in a lot of hot water for this, whatever occurred, either accidental or purposeful, is not okay.
The thing about Ipsy and Boxy, is they keep raising their prices and then you don't get any product lines you don't recognize at all. I am just really glad I dumped them both.
My deal with ipsy and why I stopped my 13 dollar deluxe mini / travel size "samples" is some I know were literally free samples trying to be passed off as a "deluxe size sampler" that was supposedly 10.00-20. 00 $$ ????? .. There's no way ... I swear they shoved some free samples on me acting like they were $10-$25 like yeah ok. I did get a few good things but nothing worth continuing it ... It also made me not want to upgrade to get the full size products either .
I have a case against Ipsy because of this very reason! I have also gone to the Better Business Bureau!!! They have been DOUBLE CHARGING me every month! And they said I agreed to sign up for their “Refreshments” crap!!! Nope sure didn’t I got 1 thing of makeup wipes and 1 hand lotion🙄 I refuse to allow them to steal anything more from me. I wish I could show you the bag I got for March. It doesn’t even look remotely close to the actual Power Moves Bag. And the stuff in the bag was like rejected items and the only makeup item I received was the perfect peepers it’s a very dark brown color so it did me no good 😔 CHECK your accounts be diligent because Ipsy is not playing fairly.
It’s even more frustrating because they do not have any way of contacting them other than email. Even the Better Business Bureau said it was the most mind blowing situation because of them being a million dollar company not to have customer service. Get a prepaid credit card and spend it down to $5. Add it to your ipsy account and delete all other payment methods. Always use this method to cancel auto debit things or use it for things with free trials. You won't have to speak to another human about unranked billing again.
You can go into PayPal and remove it as a recurring payment. I was told by a different company to do that because even though I cancelled from them PayPal can continue the payment.
This also happened to me, it happened four times, I didn’t receive any of my products either. I cancelled and then was still charged several more times. After a lot of back and forth with customer service I got my refund, but they also tried to just give me points at first.
Every time I hear the ding ding thing on my phone I just about break my dang neck trying to get to my phone. No matter what kind of day I'm having I know when Alexandria is with us who adore her...I'm going to smile and have a better day....and YES, ipsy is still doing it. I had to put a stop to the payments going out from the bank. Was charged 2 more times and received nothing. You can never talk to anyone directly. I had had enough.
I used to have hundreds of thousands of points because I have been doing these unboxing for so long and people used my link to sign up but they all just randomly disappeared one day!

I would love for someone w/ur platform & audience to figure out what's "actually going on" no matter what the end outcome is I'm sure I'm not alone when saying we would still be interested in knowing whatever it is that you find/discover!!! Go get em! They need a little exposure. Try to cancel. Try to get a refund on next order they just decide to send you. Live to see your journey with them. Ultimately,chow did you make out with Oui, did you get fully compensated? Most but companies win by wearing you down.
Yes!! Ipsy customer service is TERRIBLE. One of the main reasons I stopped the service. I also got charged for things I didn't sign up for. Then when I emailed them about it (because there was no way to call them) I was given a whole bunch of BS. It's not ok. That's alright. I had a subscription with them for years and they lost my business over this mess. Took it over to Birchbox and other services. Peace out Ipsy.
From the time I wash my hair I have a strict 24 hour window before it starts to look Greasy AF, so I feel you on not wanting a "second day hair" product.
Like I said during last video. They kept taking money out and not sending bags. They told me I had no account attached to my email and my PayPal account. So I had to get PayPal to block them.
Just a FYI on subscriptions period it is becoming common to keep receiving a subscription at the end of a 3 6 or 12 month plan unless you contact them and cancel you will keep being charged. I paid upfront for Earflerk for 6 months. I figured it would stop coming. Nope, it renewed without me agreeing..Had a Major! problem with Glossybox when I paid for 6 months I started getting 3 monthly boxes until I could get it to stop, which took 2 months but I did get refunded. When did everything start going so bad? Takes the bloom off the joy
I'd love to see a video/more info about what's going on with Ipsy! If it were just happening to one or two people I would believe it was just a minor error or glitch in their system, but this is/has been happening to a lot of people now which is what is most concerning!
I just canceled my Ipsy...I was being charged for God knows what on top of my glam bag every month and never received anything for the money they were withdrawing from my account! And try to get a hold of someone to rectify the situation?! Good luck!! But seriously...good luck getting to the bottom of it. I hope you get it all sorted out!
YEEEEESSSSS! PLEASE INVESTIGATE! That type of investigation might seem trivial, but you would be revealing an abuse of trust, if true. And that is a VERY big offense, hits everyone equally, and actually can cause lifelong trouble, both emotionally and financially.
Oh if you have auto charges on Paypal you have to go into paypal and cancel those auto charges. Just because you go to a stores web site and cancel doesn't mean they don't still get paid. I found that out the hard way years ago when someone kicked me off of a video game and yet was still getting paid for almost a year for the subscription.
If you cancelled and they didn’t stop, it’s purposeful. Boxy charm did this to me and basically admitted to it. They tried telling me I had to finish my year subscription when I bought month to month.

this happened to me all the time! me, and my 2 sisters always got the EXACT same bag. despite putting me as a small size, one as a medium, one as a large. they'd charge me for and send us 3 plus. and worst was sometimes we got the EXACT same contents despite all having very different profiles

This is so strange to me. I receive itsy and boxycharm both. I have had no repeats between the two boxes. However, reading all these comments has got me so nervous to continue these two subscriptions. I have had a couple months where I have been charged for the new bag when I haven't even received the months before bag yet. Thought that was a little annoying. I continue to receive March bag in april, April bag in May etc. And considering ipsy careers offers careers out of Charlotte North Carolina which is only about an hour away from me I think it's extremely odd
Definitely feels like if they're giving points instead of refunds they're doing it to try to get out of a potential lawsuit. Like how Bethesda was doing with the pre-order bag issue where they were giving people who demanded a refund in game money so they could say that the customers took the caps and therefore was compensated and couldn't sue. The amount couldn't even buy the cheapest item in the shop either
I feel like this is relevant. I recently signed up for ipsy again after like YEARS, I was signing up, la di da, then realized I was on the page for regular glam bag, and I actually wanted GB+. So I closed the window and didn't continue the sign up. Went back to it, realized I should probably update address and card info first, and then signed up for GB+. Couple weeks later I see a charge for regular glam bag on my card that I don't use anymore and haven't in years! The card that WAS on my ipsy account from years ago! The card that is long expired. I don't know how they got this charge to go through. I sent a ticket and asked what the heck? I got a non answer back, I don't think they even read my email. They had no explanation for being charged on an expired card when I hadn't completed sign up. They were just like yeah, you're going to get the bag but we have you canceled for next month. Thanks for reading my novel. I think ipsy has something weird going on with their website where if you breathe near a sign up page you get signed up. 😑
This happened to me!! I kept canceling my subscription but they kept re-subscribing me without my permission. And kept taking my money! I had to cancel my debit card and get a new one!!
You should just get your refunds and cancel. A business that allegedly cheats isn't one people should support. I quit them awhile ago because I thought paying for samples wasn't fun. 😁 Good luck!❤️

I literally canceled my Ipsy and hoursssss later I get charged for this months bag 🤦🏻♀️ every time I have a problem I message them on Facebook and they seem to be pretty helpful but this isn’t the first time I’ve tried to cancel my subscription or skip a month and still get charged for the current months bag when I thought I skipped it or thought I canceled my subscription just to get charged anyways 🤷🏻♀️I hate this crap ! They don’t listen
I am in AZ and it is already warm here. We will be in the 90s in a couple days. I am sad because I don't like hit weather. Medically it is very hard on me so I end up stuck inside. Enjoy that cooler weather!
I never had that happen with Ipsy but Boxy charged me for 4 months after I canceled and I never received any of the four boxes. They refused to refund me then after I contacted my bank they blocked my email address. Luckily my bank did get my refund because I did have the cancellation email from boxycharm. It did take about 7 months though 😩
there are a LOT of complaints on the BBB website against ipsy for tricking ppl into paying for stuff they don’t want/need. based on reviews, they have 1.09/5 stars based on 223 reviews 🥴
TBH by now they should be sending you these as PR with the amount of "Extra" IPSY you receive, seriously they can write it off as PR since technically then They benefit in their Tax write offs. Which you can do with all these Subscription bags since you are a Beauty and Subscription Box unboxing channel, so keep track of EVERYTHING.
Ipsy KEPT doing this to me too. And I kept receiving JUNK. Maybe if there was even one or two decent products in the bag, I wouldn't have been so angry. But every time it was junk! I finally called them and told them "I have not agreed to the last 3 boxes and I don't want anymore! Stop sending them to me!" And now, I NEVER open anything from them bc I am scared they'll start sending me crap again.
Go for it! With the cost of things today if your like me, you can't afford to have some one taking your money! It's messed up that they have just decided you needed 3 bags with out your permission! Stealing is stealing! Glad I never signed up with them.
Ipsy stole from me also. I signed in to look at what products they have for April.. i do that frim time to time, but this time they signed me up for glam bag plus when i didnt resubscribe. I sent them a email to see if they woukd refund me for their mistake. I cancelled as soon as i realized that it happened. Somethings is odd about their business practices.
If you push enough and are rude enough they usually eventually give you a refund, but it really just depends on who you get as a CS rep. I've had some that immediately refund and then others that I have to be insistent with.
I've been debating on cancelling my subscription for the last few months. They keep sending me the "essentials" but I've cancelled those 3 times now. I did the profile/questionnaire but they keep sending me things that are way too dark for my skin, wrong color for eyebrows, and nail polish. I work in a factory packaging food, so nail polish isn't allowed. The fact that they keep sending me products I can't feels like theft to me.

This happened to me too! I thought I was the only one. I got the refresher bag. I was excited bc I thought it was a freebie!! I checked my account and was charged $22 for crap I gave away.
I signed up for the free razor and paid for the shaving lotion. I just keep postponing it to the next month because it took them 2 months to ship the razor. I like it better than my old one, so I will likely keep pisponing it and only allow it to ship when I need new blades.
I cancelled my card , so i dunno if i been billed, but i havent gotten anything from them since 1st Refresher, n I dont have anything linked to my PayPal account anymore. to get rid of all subscriptions.
I actually believe they do know what they are doing. I tried to cancel their service and they kept sending me more stuff that I did not sign up for but they kept charging. I would definitely not recommend this service. Run as fast as you can from Ipsy.
I’m getting so close to canceling Ipsy! I didn’t get the Yensa foundation that I picked, but Ipsy never sent! They told me they were sold out! I’m very mad!
They told me this once before I cancelled and I told them I expect the product or a refund and that this had happened to me several times and was so disappointed I was going to cancel. They somehow, miraculously, found the product and shipped it to me. I was an Ipsy customer for 7 years, which I reminded them of. It finally became too many mistakes, unexciting items, etc. that led me to cancel. I hate to see that so many people are experiencing now what I was experiencing a couple of years ago!!
Get a prepaid credit card with a small limit or spend it down to $5 and change any service that you want to unsubscribe from to that card, deleting all others. Then you don't have to beg any customer service person or anything, they simply can't take your money anymore.

I hope people know what protections and perks you have available on the card you charge your boxes to! You can call your bank/CC and try to get them charged back if you need to!!
@@Alexandria-Ryan you will loose the chargeback due to you did receive the item. I would reach out to ipsy and ask them what they are doing. And if you cant get ahold of them cancel the sub and put a stop payment via the bank. And use a visa gift card as form of payment if you still really want the sub.
I’ve cancelled my subscription so any times and NOW IM GETTING 2 BAGS!!! My husband keeps asking me (because he does all of our finances) about this because I’ve cancelled but it’s still coming out of his account. It’s really starting to piss me off because this makes the 4th month!

You should be able to cancel the automatic payment authorization on PayPal’s side. I’ve done that on places I’ve cancelled subscriptions with just to make sure PayPal doesn’t allow the charges anymore.

i come to your ipsy unboxing videos once in awhile to remind myself that canceling my subscription with them was one of the best decisions i made. i cancelled with them years ago. back then i did it because i was tired of getting the same boring warm toned single eyeshadow pan. i was collecting so many!
I had to block them at the bank. I canceled and my card expired at the same time. Ipsy contacted the visa (it was a visa debit card) company and somehow got my new card info I was very angry, they are now blocked at all payment sources.
We have the same type of hair. I have had good luck by putting a light oil leave in conditioner in, spritzing a little heat protectant and then blow drying it (upside down as well, like you've mentioned) and then when it's ALL dry and flying everywhere (cuz it flies everywhere) I will spray some dry shampoo on my fingertips and put it on my hair, starting at the scalp with a massaging motion, then just running my fingers down the strands. I feel like that works for me, because if I don't do that, I have to use hairbobs from the little girls section to hold my hair up, but if I follow that routine, I can use big girl hairbobs. I also tend to keep my hair colored (or highlighted) because that tends to add a little texture, but it also really dries it out if I don't use a quality hair product. My friend, that does my hair, has really helped me find the right products to use for moisture without the weight. The leave in that I use is pricey, but it's worth it. If you'd like the name of it, I can sure post it.
I got my ispy from march yesterday and i didnt receive any of my add ons that i bought with my monthly bag. I reached out to them and they said theyd send the items but they were out of one of the products so they sent me a refund for that.
i had one account, and the same thing happened to me. so i no longer get ipsy because i feel like someone who is signing up for the regular bag probably doesnt have the money to get the glam bag x. i also had to freeze my account multiple times to get them to actually stop talking my money.

Just casually scrolling for a minute I can see at least 20+ people reporting some sort of fraud, unauthorized charge, or cancelation issue resulting in charges. That is too many for this sample size. That's extremely disturbing

It’s illegal to not give refunds for charges not approved and also for not fulfilling a promise I.e, if they said something was free and then charged you or didn’t follow through with promotions. I have gotten refunds before leaving and did not let go until I received money in my bank. If the person doesn’t help you, do it again with someone else
Alexandria, you can control who gets payments in your PayPal account, just go to manage reoccurring payments, and remove Ipsy from being allowed to get any money from you.

Report them as fraud. They definitely do this to other people. I reported them to PayPal as fraud, and got my money back.

@@thatonepopularteacher6321 If that route doesn’t work for whatever reason, contact your bank or your card that’s connected to your PayPal and report it as fraud that way. FDIC banks do not play around, and they will get you your money back usually that day. I’m sorry that they got you too.
I’m getting very frustrated with Ipsy, they offered me a free bag if I didn’t cancel for March but ended up charging me twice and they’re customer service says there are no refunds at all
Don’t give up. They will give refunds if you push the issue. Especially if it’s a promise for product you were offered and then charged without approval. That’s fraud and def illegal
Do a chargeback with your bank.
Call your bank & tell them the issue. Charge it back to them.
Any company that says they don’t do refunds I have an issue with. We are all human and make mistakes and refund might be part of that!
I say this as someone who works for a bank, but CALL YOUR BANK. They're there to advocate for you, these companies honestly don't care who they rip off.
When I decided to cancel my Ipsy subscription, they made it very difficultl. As you said, they have no customer service and it was very difficult to find where to cancel in their website. I sent an email and thankfully someone responded and cancelled my account.... HOWEVER, next month I received some products... again, I emailed them and they said they had cancelled my subscription but this what something different... What??? ... I told them to cancel EVERYTHING... NEVER will I ever subscribe to them. Their business practices sound like fraud to me.
when I cancelled I was bombarded with emails to try and give me FOMO for months...made me so angry I would never subscribe to them again
I cancelled my Ipsy but was still getting charged for them each month. I sent them a DM on Twitter and someone got back to me within minutes and re-cancelled my account for me. I was obviously pissed that I had issues to begin with, but I haven’t been charged since they helped me!
The good thing with Paypal is you can contact them in order to stop charges. That's so incredibly shady that it's not showing up in your account as a subscription so there's not way to cancel it, like the fact that it's hidden within your account somehow is odd, Ipsy's gonna end up in a lot of hot water for this, whatever occurred, either accidental or purposeful, is not okay.

The thing about Ipsy and Boxy, is they keep raising their prices and then you don't get any product lines you don't recognize at all. I am just really glad I dumped them both.
Boxycharm is doing the point crap instead of refunds too, which ticks me off because I cancelled all of my boxes.

My deal with ipsy and why I stopped my 13 dollar deluxe mini / travel size "samples" is some I know were literally free samples trying to be passed off as a "deluxe size sampler" that was supposedly 10.00-20. 00 $$ ????? .. There's no way ... I swear they shoved some free samples on me acting like they were $10-$25 like yeah ok. I did get a few good things but nothing worth continuing it ... It also made me not want to upgrade to get the full size products either .
I have a case against Ipsy because of this very reason! I have also gone to the Better Business Bureau!!! They have been DOUBLE CHARGING me every month! And they said I agreed to sign up for their “Refreshments” crap!!! Nope sure didn’t I got 1 thing of makeup wipes and 1 hand lotion🙄 I refuse to allow them to steal anything more from me. I wish I could show you the bag I got for March. It doesn’t even look remotely close to the actual Power Moves Bag. And the stuff in the bag was like rejected items and the only makeup item I received was the perfect peepers it’s a very dark brown color so it did me no good 😔 CHECK your accounts be diligent because Ipsy is not playing fairly.

Get a prepaid credit card and spend it down to $5. Add it to your ipsy account and delete all other payment methods. Always use this method to cancel auto debit things or use it for things with free trials. You won't have to speak to another human about unranked billing again.

You can go into PayPal and remove it as a recurring payment. I was told by a different company to do that because even though I cancelled from them PayPal can continue the payment.
This also happened to me, it happened four times, I didn’t receive any of my products either. I cancelled and then was still charged several more times. After a lot of back and forth with customer service I got my refund, but they also tried to just give me points at first.
Every time I hear the ding ding thing on my phone I just about break my dang neck trying to get to my phone. No matter what kind of day I'm having I know when Alexandria is with us who adore her...I'm going to smile and have a better day....and YES, ipsy is still doing it. I had to put a stop to the payments going out from the bank. Was charged 2 more times and received nothing. You can never talk to anyone directly. I had had enough.

I used to have hundreds of thousands of points because I have been doing these unboxing for so long and people used my link to sign up but they all just randomly disappeared one day!

Yes!! Ipsy customer service is TERRIBLE. One of the main reasons I stopped the service. I also got charged for things I didn't sign up for. Then when I emailed them about it (because there was no way to call them) I was given a whole bunch of BS. It's not ok. That's alright. I had a subscription with them for years and they lost my business over this mess. Took it over to Birchbox and other services. Peace out Ipsy.

Like I said during last video. They kept taking money out and not sending bags. They told me I had no account attached to my email and my PayPal account. So I had to get PayPal to block them.
Just a FYI on subscriptions period it is becoming common to keep receiving a subscription at the end of a 3 6 or 12 month plan unless you contact them and cancel you will keep being charged. I paid upfront for Earflerk for 6 months. I figured it would stop coming. Nope, it renewed without me agreeing..Had a Major! problem with Glossybox when I paid for 6 months I started getting 3 monthly boxes until I could get it to stop, which took 2 months but I did get refunded. When did everything start going so bad? Takes the bloom off the joy
I'd love to see a video/more info about what's going on with Ipsy! If it were just happening to one or two people I would believe it was just a minor error or glitch in their system, but this is/has been happening to a lot of people now which is what is most concerning!
I just canceled my Ipsy...I was being charged for God knows what on top of my glam bag every month and never received anything for the money they were withdrawing from my account! And try to get a hold of someone to rectify the situation?! Good luck!! But seriously...good luck getting to the bottom of it. I hope you get it all sorted out!
YEEEEESSSSS! PLEASE INVESTIGATE! That type of investigation might seem trivial, but you would be revealing an abuse of trust, if true. And that is a VERY big offense, hits everyone equally, and actually can cause lifelong trouble, both emotionally and financially.
Oh if you have auto charges on Paypal you have to go into paypal and cancel those auto charges. Just because you go to a stores web site and cancel doesn't mean they don't still get paid. I found that out the hard way years ago when someone kicked me off of a video game and yet was still getting paid for almost a year for the subscription.
If you cancelled and they didn’t stop, it’s purposeful. Boxy charm did this to me and basically admitted to it. They tried telling me I had to finish my year subscription when I bought month to month.

this happened to me all the time! me, and my 2 sisters always got the EXACT same bag. despite putting me as a small size, one as a medium, one as a large. they'd charge me for and send us 3 plus. and worst was sometimes we got the EXACT same contents despite all having very different profiles

This is so strange to me. I receive itsy and boxycharm both. I have had no repeats between the two boxes. However, reading all these comments has got me so nervous to continue these two subscriptions. I have had a couple months where I have been charged for the new bag when I haven't even received the months before bag yet. Thought that was a little annoying. I continue to receive March bag in april, April bag in May etc. And considering ipsy careers offers careers out of Charlotte North Carolina which is only about an hour away from me I think it's extremely odd

Definitely feels like if they're giving points instead of refunds they're doing it to try to get out of a potential lawsuit. Like how Bethesda was doing with the pre-order bag issue where they were giving people who demanded a refund in game money so they could say that the customers took the caps and therefore was compensated and couldn't sue. The amount couldn't even buy the cheapest item in the shop either
I feel like this is relevant. I recently signed up for ipsy again after like YEARS, I was signing up, la di da, then realized I was on the page for regular glam bag, and I actually wanted GB+. So I closed the window and didn't continue the sign up. Went back to it, realized I should probably update address and card info first, and then signed up for GB+. Couple weeks later I see a charge for regular glam bag on my card that I don't use anymore and haven't in years! The card that WAS on my ipsy account from years ago! The card that is long expired. I don't know how they got this charge to go through. I sent a ticket and asked what the heck? I got a non answer back, I don't think they even read my email. They had no explanation for being charged on an expired card when I hadn't completed sign up. They were just like yeah, you're going to get the bag but we have you canceled for next month.

This happened to me!! I kept canceling my subscription but they kept re-subscribing me without my permission. And kept taking my money! I had to cancel my debit card and get a new one!!

Your bank can cancel payments for you. You don't need to get a whole new card!

I literally canceled my Ipsy and hoursssss later I get charged for this months bag 🤦🏻♀️ every time I have a problem I message them on Facebook and they seem to be pretty helpful but this isn’t the first time I’ve tried to cancel my subscription or skip a month and still get charged for the current months bag when I thought I skipped it or thought I canceled my subscription just to get charged anyways 🤷🏻♀️I hate this crap ! They don’t listen
I am in AZ and it is already warm here. We will be in the 90s in a couple days. I am sad because I don't like hit weather. Medically it is very hard on me so I end up stuck inside. Enjoy that cooler weather!

I never had that happen with Ipsy but Boxy charged me for 4 months after I canceled and I never received any of the four boxes. They refused to refund me then after I contacted my bank they blocked my email address. Luckily my bank did get my refund because I did have the cancellation email from boxycharm. It did take about 7 months though 😩
there are a LOT of complaints on the BBB website against ipsy for tricking ppl into paying for stuff they don’t want/need. based on reviews, they have 1.09/5 stars based on 223 reviews 🥴
TBH by now they should be sending you these as PR with the amount of "Extra" IPSY you receive, seriously they can write it off as PR since technically then They benefit in their Tax write offs. Which you can do with all these Subscription bags since you are a Beauty and Subscription Box unboxing channel, so keep track of EVERYTHING.
Ipsy KEPT doing this to me too. And I kept receiving JUNK. Maybe if there was even one or two decent products in the bag, I wouldn't have been so angry. But every time it was junk! I finally called them and told them "I have not agreed to the last 3 boxes and I don't want anymore! Stop sending them to me!" And now, I NEVER open anything from them bc I am scared they'll start sending me crap again.

Ipsy stole from me also. I signed in to look at what products they have for April.. i do that frim time to time, but this time they signed me up for glam bag plus when i didnt resubscribe. I sent them a email to see if they woukd refund me for their mistake. I cancelled as soon as i realized that it happened. Somethings is odd about their business practices.
If you push enough and are rude enough they usually eventually give you a refund, but it really just depends on who you get as a CS rep. I've had some that immediately refund and then others that I have to be insistent with.

I've been debating on cancelling my subscription for the last few months. They keep sending me the "essentials" but I've cancelled those 3 times now. I did the profile/questionnaire but they keep sending me things that are way too dark for my skin, wrong color for eyebrows, and nail polish. I work in a factory packaging food, so nail polish isn't allowed. The fact that they keep sending me products I can't feels like theft to me.

Boxy charged me for to Lux boxes. When I complained they sent me another Lux with old old products. I totally dropped them.
I love the Clarity RX. My gf gave it to me from her bag & I feel like it made my eye lashes grow! I could tell a difference after about 15 days.

Cancel it with your bank. Show them you've cancelled, and do not give them permission to charge you.
This happened to me too! I thought I was the only one. I got the refresher bag. I was excited bc I thought it was a freebie!! I checked my account and was charged $22 for crap I gave away.
I signed up for the free razor and paid for the shaving lotion. I just keep postponing it to the next month because it took them 2 months to ship the razor. I like it better than my old one, so I will likely keep pisponing it and only allow it to ship when I need new blades.
I cancelled my card , so i dunno if i been billed, but i havent gotten anything from them since 1st Refresher, n I dont have anything linked to my PayPal account anymore. to get rid of all subscriptions.
I actually believe they do know what they are doing. I tried to cancel their service and they kept sending me more stuff that I did not sign up for but they kept charging. I would definitely not recommend this service. Run as fast as you can from Ipsy.
I’m getting so close to canceling Ipsy! I didn’t get the Yensa foundation that I picked, but Ipsy never sent! They told me they were sold out! I’m very mad!
They told me this once before I cancelled and I told them I expect the product or a refund and that this had happened to me several times and was so disappointed I was going to cancel. They somehow, miraculously, found the product and shipped it to me. I was an Ipsy customer for 7 years, which I reminded them of.
It finally became too many mistakes, unexciting items, etc. that led me to cancel. I hate to see that so many people are experiencing now what I was experiencing a couple of years ago!!

Get a prepaid credit card with a small limit or spend it down to $5 and change any service that you want to unsubscribe from to that card, deleting all others. Then you don't have to beg any customer service person or anything, they simply can't take your money anymore.
I already cancelled all my Ipsy subscriptions (just to save money) but I would totally love to see you do a little deep dive to try and figure out what’s going on 😁
I hope people know what protections and perks you have available on the card you charge your boxes to! You can call your bank/CC and try to get them charged back if you need to!!

@@Alexandria-Ryan you will loose the chargeback due to you did receive the item. I would reach out to ipsy and ask them what they are doing. And if you cant get ahold of them cancel the sub and put a stop payment via the bank. And use a visa gift card as form of payment if you still really want the sub.

You should be able to cancel the automatic payment authorization on PayPal’s side. I’ve done that on places I’ve cancelled subscriptions with just to make sure PayPal doesn’t allow the charges anymore.

i come to your ipsy unboxing videos once in awhile to remind myself that canceling my subscription with them was one of the best decisions i made. i cancelled with them years ago. back then i did it because i was tired of getting the same boring warm toned single eyeshadow pan. i was collecting so many!
I had to block them at the bank. I canceled and my card expired at the same time. Ipsy contacted the visa (it was a visa debit card) company and somehow got my new card info I was very angry, they are now blocked at all payment sources.
We have the same type of hair. I have had good luck by putting a light oil leave in conditioner in, spritzing a little heat protectant and then blow drying it (upside down as well, like you've mentioned) and then when it's ALL dry and flying everywhere (cuz it flies everywhere) I will spray some dry shampoo on my fingertips and put it on my hair, starting at the scalp with a massaging motion, then just running my fingers down the strands. I feel like that works for me, because if I don't do that, I have to use hairbobs from the little girls section to hold my hair up, but if I follow that routine, I can use big girl hairbobs. I also tend to keep my hair colored (or highlighted) because that tends to add a little texture, but it also really dries it out if I don't use a quality hair product.
My friend, that does my hair, has really helped me find the right products to use for moisture without the weight. The leave in that I use is pricey, but it's worth it. If you'd like the name of it, I can sure post it.

I got my ispy from march yesterday and i didnt receive any of my add ons that i bought with my monthly bag. I reached out to them and they said theyd send the items but they were out of one of the products so they sent me a refund for that.
i had one account, and the same thing happened to me. so i no longer get ipsy because i feel like someone who is signing up for the regular bag probably doesnt have the money to get the glam bag x. i also had to freeze my account multiple times to get them to actually stop talking my money.
