As someone who is about to be homeless in a few weeks, I received a care package and they had put together a bag of shower and body products and a face towel. It made me want to cry since it’s those touches that show some people are compassionate.

You are such a great person! I am a cashier and just had a lady come by and purchase 500$ of travel size toiletries to make emergency bags for the women and CHildren at the abused woman’s shelter where I live. Thought that was such a good idea, makes such a big difference for these people ♥️

I ended up cancelling my Ipsy because I felt like it was becoming sample size- ish. I also felt like my bags were geared towards a teenager even though I updated my profile many times. I do like watching your unboxings. 😘
Fun fact! Sneezing when you look at a bright light is called photic sneeze reflex, or as some cheeky scientists came up with, Autosomal dominant Compelling Helio-Opthalmic Outburst or ACHOO syndrome, or my personal favorite, photosneezia! I kinda wish I had it cuz it would be nice to be able to sneeze on command, but only about 18-35% of the world's population has it and I'm in the other 65-82%😅

I have it and I sneeze 4 or 5 times when I go from a dim place to a bright place. My mom has it too and had a sneezing fit while driving, definitely not as fun as it sounds 😂
I love your ramblings! I found your channel during a horrible job situation, your videos helped me get away from the stress and dread of having to get up and go to work. And now I'm in a drastically better job and I still love watching all of your videos!
Honestly, most of these Ipsy bags looked really good. Kudos to you for donating the items to a women's shelter...that is so very thoughtful. I really enjoyed the "Guess the bag" contest each month. If you want to keep your subscriptions, you might continue it and then donate the items each month. Whatever you decide to do will be great....you do you!

I can’t even imagine how much money Alexandria “wastes” on forgotten subscriptions, paid too much for advent calendars, duplicates. I want to cry. But least all of these are going to a good home.
It's not a waste if they are going to someone who is going to use them.
Feeling bad about her “wasting” money on these things is like feeling bad for a store owner for “wasting” money on buying inventory for their store 😊 This channel is a huge part of her income and the purchases are necessary to run it. The fact that she forgets to cancel is part of the funny, sweet, relatable personality that makes us love her so so so much and come back - which makes her more money.
So it’s actually a good thing. Her personality, mistakes and all, is what makes her so successful at what she does ❤️ We shouldn’t feel bad for her, we should admire her.

I started watching your channel because of the Ipsy showdowns! I can't speak for everyone but I loved it when you did those videos. I like your other videos too because it helps me decide if I want to get another subscription box. And I know that Ipsy has changed up what they're putting in the bags. I absolutely love the idea of donating these bags to a women's shelter! I think a lot of times people don't recognize how much things like make-up and skincare can really mean to these women and bring back a sense of normalcy, so the fact that so many women will benefit from this is wonderful.

Alexandria we love you and forgive you anything. I love to hear you will be donating all these lovely things to women's shelters. I spent some time in one and so often you literally go there with the clothes on your back and haven't had anything nice and new to call your own for a very long time. You're not cancelling the subscription turned out to be a great thing.
I absolutely agree. I just made a similar recommendation on just_anne's channel. She had a bunch of new and gently used palettes. I once had a job with a department store whose policy was to spray paint all clothing damages (things like a missing button, etc) in a trash receptacle. I protested and instead cut out all of the labels and gave them to a local shelter.
@@poietes7337 you really warmed my heart, thank you so much for sharing that story. All it takes is one person stepping forward and saying that this waste is unacceptable and these things will be so welcome. What happens often in women shelters is they enter very thin and in a short amount of time they start to eat well and become a normal weight and even if they did have clothes they grow out of them. It's very sad to see someone dressing in the same clothing everyday because they are unable to do otherwise. I remember when bags of clothing would come in it was like Christmas time. The girls would get so excited especially when the items were new. Bless your heart and keep up the good work. Big hugs.

Honestly, the moment I saw that title, I started laughing. I saw this coming, honestly. I had a feeling you'd forget and it'd be back! But I'm also loving the idea of putting together everything as a donation for the women's shelter as well. I'm sure you'll be about to make a bunch of people's lives a little bit brighter and help them being able to have a bit more control and normalcy for themselves. It's such a little thing a lot of people don't think about, but I've seen how much confidence people in those positions can find in being able to have these little things that seem vain and non-necessary. I know I was one of the people who asked if you would donate items to a woman’s shelter, so I am so, so happy that you’ve decided to donate all these items. When people are going through rough times, surviving through the things that the women at shelters have gone through, having self care, luxury, non essential, and beauty items are actually huge mood boosters and can be the small thing they needed just to take that step back up from the dark. People think that only essentials would be required and while those are super important and always things they need, shelters and food banks actually have far better and cheaper ways of acquiring those essentials and would prefer you donate funds that they can do twice as much with than you could. But these kinds of items, things that can have the power to lift someone’s mood, make them feel beautiful again, give them some personal time to focus on their needs, etc, are things they would never be able to buy and supply to their clientele. So you donating these kinds of items is really kind of perfect and I wish more beauty bloggers would consider doing the same. Thank you so much, Alexandria! And I always love your videos 😍

I think it’s really awesome that you donate to a woman’s shelter! I want to do that. I was subscribed to both Ipsy and Boxycharm for years, and they were all the largest boxes they offered, so I have a ton of makeup I’ve never touched and never plan to use.

As always I love you Alexandria Ryan, you really make me laugh, smile, and just pleasantly happy and at peace. Tuning into your channel has become my quiet happy time when I choose to be fully awake in my room, chillin and enjoying you and whatever you choose to show us on that day, like today's massive ipsy unboxing of 15 ipsy bags. I am currently now getting the smallest bag with the little makeup bags and the glam bag or I call it the medium bag has 6 items usually and one of the cloth drawstring bags, then the glam X box comes usually in the ipsy box when shipped and I believe that's every other month that you get that box or drawstring bag. I used to get mine on time but now I've been seeing my ipsy packages just sitting and waiting most of the month I'm guessing in either a warehouse or a sporting facility for over a week and a half since the price has gone up which truly stresses me out since I'm afraid my package from ipsy was lost over the summer and such a hassle to text out on my broken screened cut up lens on my phone. Thankfully I can still see you channel and your happy mostly or any mood you want to be in :) happy or ): sad and all moods in between. My opinion is that I already get small ipsy for a year on accident, WARNING: DO NOT FALL ASLEEP AND HAVE YOUR FACE TWITCHING ON TOP OF YOUR CELL PHONE MAKING UNWANTED PURCHASES IDK WITH MY BIG BOTTOM LIP AND NOSE LOL. Ok warning over but yes I accidentally did that, I'm honestly surprised the weight of my jogging didnt shatter my glass touch screen on my android phone. Oh I better get back to watching your older videos I feel like I'm off my binging schedule oh well back to more unboxing!

Even though I cancelled my sub boxes two years ago, I still enjoy watching unboxings. I threw away so many products, I am glad you are donating. I have to be honest, sometimes I reconsider re-subscribing, but I have been strong.
