this video is the greatest of all😊 i have been struggling making any pose and now i have learned it thankyouuuuuu,👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻love your content
This is great! I’ve been binging these basic anatomy videos and everybody says to just “simplify the body into shapes” but nobody went into the detail of what the shapes actually were. The drawing and the voice over each helped get it simplified into something very easily understandable
I'm a 72 yr old grandmother who is making a book for my grandchildren - 1 yr old twins and their 4 yr old brother. My drawings were so primitive and flat. I watched a number of videos and really enjoyed this one. You have a postive encouraging way of teaching, making it feel so doable. Thank you! I'll look for more from you.
THIS HELPED ALOT. A lot of artists are making vids that compress basic anatomy in like a 10 min vid, and we beginner artists really come out learning nothing practical. thanks for taking the time to draw and not just explain
Tbh, you're the only one who got me into drawing. I thought anatomy was hard because all people said was to 'simplify it into shapes' when I didn't even know the shapes that I was going to draw. This video truly helped me a lot.
This was the one of the best tutorials out of these pile of videos on ytube. Everyone just telling "use shapes" but they didnt show how to... And there's you telling and showing every detail... I can simply say I practice with you while u're drawing. I couldn't draw bodies like that, but I CAN NOW! Huge thanks, lots of love! 💕
I've been drawing since I was 4 but never truly practiced, and have been stuck with the same faces, bodies, and stick figures for years. Now that I'm moving onto college, I've decided to pursue art and have finally been practicing, studying, and analyzing my drawings to finally improve, and videos like these have helped a huge amount. Thank you so much!
I feel like this is very beginner friendly because you ACTUALLY explain what's happening. its also helpful because it makes it so if the viewer wants to draw a body but doesn't completely like this style, they can still change it up a bit for their own liking.
this. video. is. amazing. why is it that almost every video called how to draw basic bodies or basic anatomy expects you to know most of it already? i was searching forever this is so helpful
i wanted to start drawing and this is the first real "beginner friendly" video that i actually understood! i saw so many on UA-cam and they made everything so complicated and i stoped pretty early because it was just getting too confusing. So thank for making it so easy to understand :3
Very well done, this is extremely easy to understand and explaining everything is perfect for a beginner, i feel like you're one of the few people that actually knows how a beginner feels instead of taking for granted stuff that isn't granted at all for beginners! So well done and keep up with these videos!
I know i’m very late, but this was a LIFE SAVER!! I couldn’t draw bodies to save my life and this has literally taught me in the simplest way ever!!! Thank you so much for posting thiss!
I've been sketching for quite a while, and its been really therapeutic to be honest. This video helped me a lot in understanding how to draw the body using such techniques. I just love it!
@@blusmusiccovers3446 I actually have a video on drawing clothes if you wanna go check it out :) but yes I would draw the outside shape before adding the details
Well done mentioning how far the arms go! Knowing that with really help people change certain body proportions to get results like Tsuyu Asui from My Hero Academia and Long arms from One Piece or even make a variety of the titans from AOT 👍
Girl, I near burst into tears at 1:34 when you notated that line across the chest adding that it does nothing and you don't know why you added it! XD That's gotta be the most mysterious contour in figure drawing to me! Know one ever says specifically what it is or what is highlights. Even I draw it at this point after all the tutorials and I still can't give you a straight answer. Honestly though, sometimes I think putting a line across the upper torso CAN be a great way to sort of plot out where maybe the base of the pectoral muscles are. I feel like that's where it's closest to a lot of the time. And thank you so much for the tutorials. They are so helpful!
Checkpoint: 10:57 anywho, this is really great. Usually tutorials are like “draw the basic shapes” but they never really explain/talk how. With my trusty pen and paper I say I did pretty good for a first time. Definently gonna give you a sub! edit: omg u have a playlist?! ima add that to my library
This deserves so much more. I’ve been trying to find a video which could fully explain what was going on, and i stumbled across this. Now I have a good understanding of how to draw bodies, thank you so much! Ive literally spent the past hour drawing bodies because its so fun and simple when you get the hang of it
For people like me who is just a drawing enthusiast (cannot even call a beginner) this step by video clip work like a charm to have an idea about proportions. Thanks for taking the time for doing this.
Thanks so much this is so beginner friendly and easy to follow along with i didnt feel rushed or find it hard to follow with lots of pausing i drew the first three and im really happy and now i feel a lot more confident with drawing anotomyy
This is really helpful thank u! I never learned Anatomy and just keep on drawing and drawing till all my drawings looked bad because I don’t know anatomy! After this video i tired using your tips and it made it much better, tysm!
I've had a hard time drawing the body, especially the arms, because I always make them too long. I gave up drawing last year, and this week I decided to start again. I came across this video today and I improved SOOOO much after watching this. Thank you so much for making this, you're definitely underrated bc this only has 76K views, it deserves more recognition. But anyways, thanks again :) And I'm motivated to continue drawing :]
just started teaching myself how to draw and this video was exactly what I was looking for. super helpful and easy to follow along while also covering the basics and not skipping to anything i wasn't ready for.
This is so great! I also actually love your voice over and everything because it’s more relatable like you’re explaining it to me over a cup of coffee. It’s a bit more “normal” and understandable for me this way rather than using really formal anatomy terms that I don’t know anyway. The tutorial itself is also really helpful and easy to draw along with!
This video genuinely changed my art, i'm in 8th grade and i'm in a friend group of artists who can draw crazy anatomy but can't teach me for anything so this helped me learn to draw as well as them and helped build stronger connections. Thank you!!!
This is the only video that i could actually understand and learn from, love the inspirational advice. This Video was truly for beginners and i’ll keep practicing.

This is awesome! I've been looking for something would help me with this kind of thing. (The head, arms, and legs are a normal challenge for me.) Thank you!
this actually helped me a lot more then other videos, it has a very simple tutorial which makes it a lot easier to understand - This helped me a lot with the body drawing thank you
This video is amazing! I've been learning how to draw people recently because it just seems like such an interesting thing to draw. I love how you include a lot of proportions in this video too, it really helped me get drawings to look right! I love your art style too, keep up the great work :)
Omg getting back into drawing after years of not drawing this was amazing thank you!!!
I wouldn't have my drawing skills without you.
