In this video Ill be driving to the peak of Mount Patterson in the snow. The mountain peak sits at an elevation of 11,679ft. above the sea level and is located in Mono County, California, near the Nevada border. It’s one of the highest elevation roads of California and known for being one of the most dangerous. We will also be exploring the old mining town of Belfort where back in the 1800's $500,000 dollars worth of silver and gold were pulled from the Sweetwater mountains. Hope you enjoy the video.

One of my favorite places to go to. Never been there during winter. Everytime I come up there, its always super windy. There is a stone cabin nearby the summit called Montague Mine stone cabin.
What?! A stone cabin. Bummed I missed it. Thanks for watching. 👊🏻
Great video! I really want to get to Mt. Patterson in the next year or two! Love the inspiration elements! 😁👊🏼😃🙌🏼👏🏼
Thanks for watching Greg. I’ll see you soon.
Great video, can't imagine driving it in the winter! I'm headed up there this weekend with my GX460 and am excited to finally off road above the tree line, hopefully I can make a contact from the top with my Ham Radio. Should be an awesome adventure.
Thanks for watching!!
Oh man we did this trip acouple years ago in the fall! Absolutely EPIC place to be!!
Most definitely epic. Thank you so much for watching.
As always the best intro content out of this world. And the drone footage man ass kicking take care cheers
Thanks Shaun! Have a good week.👊🏻
Bro what an epic episode! Can't wait to join ya on another adventure! The sceneries here is amazing!
Thanks man👊🏻
I did it October 12 2024. It was so windy and cold but I didn’t have a jacket ( long sleeves and heavy sweatpants) . There was a jeep group of 22. Many dirt bikes and a few UTV’s. I used Burcham flat road and the switchbacks would have been terrifying in a bigger vehicle. The fall colors are awesome now and there were fish in the streams I crossed. I’ll definitely be going back. Cellphone service is available most of the way up there .
I’m sure the fall colors are amazing. I need to get back up that way.
Dude, thank you for the amazing content and some solid life reminders. Keep up the great work and count on me tuning in all the time.
Thanks so much for watching I post videos every Sunday at 6 PM
Awesome Video. Keep up the great content and adventures.
Thanks so much for watching
Thanks so much for watching I post videos every Sunday at 6 PM
Great message! Glad you made it up without issues, stay safe.
Thank you! Thanks for watching. 😎👊🏻
I would not consider it the most dangerous road but for sure it is one of the most scenic in California that is accessible to people. Love that area.
Thanks for watching
not as bad as Black Rock rd
Another great video brother!! 🤘🤘 beautiful area and can't wait to see the rest of this adventure!
Thanks, Mark!
Thanks Johnny. Great video with a wonderful message. Can't wait to head out that way again from out here in the northeast. ❤
Whereabouts in the northeast? Thanks for watching.
Your Chanel has become one of my favorites. I enjoy the subject material, your drone shots, your narration and of course Daisy when you can bring her.
thanks so much for the kind words! I appreciate you coming back to watch another video. As soon as winter is over Daisy will be back on the channel. 😎👊🏻 hope your week treats you well.
I’ve always loved your videos but this time I felt like I was watching Trail Newbie.
Trail Newbie and I will be camping in a few weeks.👊🏻 He puts out awesome videos!
@@jonnytacooutdoorslooking forward to it Jonny! 👊🏼🙌🏼😃😁
Nice bud. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching
I have a Tacoma too. Used to live near San Bernardino but moved to Orange County. Heading out to Kelso and the Mojave next week
@@GrahamHolmes no way! Those are rad places. I was just there a month back. Those videos will post in March. 😎👊🏻

Damn didn’t know you can get up Patterson that way. I’ve done it coming from lobdell lake side
Thanks for watching. I post videos every Sunday at 6 PM.
Jonny Taco Outdoors is putting out some pretty good content! Any day outdoors is a good day, especially at 11,679feet in elevation. It's fun rewatching your previous adventures while waiting for the new adventure to post. Keep it up the great work, brother. XPLRNW, North Central Washington 🌲
Thank you so much for watching🙏🏼
No doubt brother... I gotchu@@jonnytacooutdoors
I'm so glad that I can focus on videos now... doing adventures. So blessed to have found some land to be at. It was such a hunt. @@jonnytacooutdoors
@@XPLRNW 👊🏻
@@XPLRNW yeah I’m jealous sounds like you got an awesome spot and I look forward to see the videos you make.
looks like the gate needs a key to get into the trail? cool vids. keep it up!!!
Thanks for watching! No key is needed.
Thanks for the good video of a beautiful area. The only “dangerous” thing I saw in the video was the fact that you’re wheeling alone, when even a minor break-down could put you into a really bad situation.
Thanks for watching
Where you tuning in from?
Great video. Thank you.
No thank you thanks for watching 👊🏻
When were you up there? Trying to see if the road conditions heading up is doable now? Great video btw.
This was a few months back. I’m sure there’s more snow now but it’s definitely worth still going. I already wanna get back up there.😎
Love the video. How come the mattress is in your back seat? 😊
Thanks for watching and great question. This video was filmed after waking up on Kavanaugh ridge with no Diesel Heater. I pull out the mattress when there’s condensation or ice so the mattress doesn’t get wet.
Not sure about most dangerous. But, its beautiful. Will have to head over there.
Thanks for watching
Yikes that looked like a hard hit, does your drone not have active track? Or or some type of tech be able to track and not have to control it? Looks like yours is new enough for it!
I use all manual setting and fly manually. Thanks for watching.
Hi there, Awesome video! Can you tell me which route did you take. to go up the mountain? We rode on FS32115 from the Lake Lobdell side last Saturday and I was not able to get to the top but just until the Mars with Flowers sign.. Yours seems to be different. Let me know. Thanks!
Thanks for watching. I used Google maps and it took me there. I did not recall the Trail names..
@@jonnytacooutdoors Thanks. Did you enter from the Nevada side (182 or 338) or CA 395?
@@chimmu19 I came in from the 395 but I crossed into Nevada
Love your adventures bro! You do however need to fix that auto focus breathing. What camera do you shoot on?
Thanks for watching
When are you going to do a meet up?
In May
So well done! What month was this?
Five months ago, I think
Thanks for watching!
did you re-gear the taco?
With 4.88’s
@@jonnytacooutdoors thats my next move for the 4r. Currently got a front and rear bumper setup about to go on. Watching your videos getting me pumped for spring wheeling. See u in the sierras
What time of year did you go?
This was about 6 months back
@@jonnytacooutdoors ok I knew it couldn’t have been recent bc just a few weeks ago I attempted Lobdell and got shut down by snow.
@@trishtimmons4336 late winter eh
@@jonnytacooutdoors ya I made it further than I thought but ya a bit too early. I’ll try again in a couple weeks. But Patterson is now my goal for the end of summer. Thanks so much for sharing! Glad I came along your channel.

Wow! Amazing videos from the drone! Mt. Patterson has been on my bucket list. What time of year did you go? Hope you were able to hit the Travertine hot springs in nearby Bridgeport. They're phenomenal!
This was in October if I’m remembering correctly. Travertine Hot Springs need to check those out! Wow drove right past them, I’m def stop next time. Does it get busy there?
@@jonnytacooutdoors It may depend on the month. I went in March 2018 and was the only person there.
