@@SewAnastasia so it turns out, it wasn’t that easy, for me. My sewing machine is 22 years old and the presser foot doesn’t raise up very much so it was difficult to pull the zipper closed and once done my sewing line was off. Should I keep trying or throw in the towel and buy a new machine? LOL

Thank you very much for your helpful information and valuable expert advice 😊💯 I'm converting a hoodie with a half zipper to a full zipper... I don't have a sewing machine, can I hand stitch the zipper on??
I have been looking for an invisible zipper as per pattern instructions for back zip in pants(Trousers) but local haberdashery didn’t have one. Using this technique, it’s so tight, I don’t think will need one, just an ordinary one will suffice. X
SERIOUSLY??? I used Microsoft AI Copilot today and asked about sewing zippers. Among hundreds of choices within the algorithm, it solely directed me to “Sew Anastasia”! 😳 Literally, it did! Now, that’s INTELLIGENCE! 👏👏👏
I’m going to install a “decorative” zipper into the cuff sleeve of a hoodie jacket. I’m deciding if I should open and baste the sleeve first, or just leave it as manufactured. 12 year old has a design plan.
Such clear and easy to follow instructions! Thank you 🙏🏻 may I ask do you have any tips for zipper inserts horizontally along gathered waistband? 🤷🏼♀️😬🙏🏻
Hello, LUV your channel. I would like to add a zippered suitcase/trolley sleeve on tote bag that I will be using for travel. Any thoughts? Thank you, Jenne
Great technique, though I'm wondering if this exact approach only works for zippers with small pulls? I was creating a bag with a heavier zipper, which made it impossible to fold sideways to allow the presser foot to pass by. Since the outside is basted shut, I had to rip the seam open while the piece was still on the machine in order to pull the zipper through and past the needle. Is there a better way to use this same method with bigger zippers?
I want to add a front zipper to a completed dress. My friend needs about an inch more space in chest area. Thinking adding a zipper would give her the added room. I don’t know how. The dress is a dark but silky lightweight polyester. I thought to add a stabilizer to support the zipper but don’t know how to end the zipper to a narrow rolled collar
If you are putting the zipper in a dress, do you still put the zipper tape all the way up to the top of the dress back. I'm guessing that you would have to add a hook and eye at the top. But what if you don't want to add a hook and eye???????
The zipper tape goes to the top of the dress so you have something to sew over for finishing it. A facing, bias tape, bias facing, lining etc. You do not have to put a hook n eye. Check out this video where I finish the zipper with the lining. I think it will help you . ua-cam.com/video/wbXGlbMEAb4/v-deo.html
