Ran into you because of a pop up on my newsfeed about your 'garage find Gibson', as a player of a couple vintage Gibs myself, I skipped the pop up and came to here, watched you love on some vintage guitars, listened to you play them... then noticed this announcement. On the second playthrough of your album, holy smokes dude. This is going to get overplayed in my car, GREAT album!
Matthew, Congratulations on the album release. When I started watching the video I was worried initially that it was bad news and you were shutting down your channel. (you just said "bad news" in the video about 2 seconds after I wrote it). It was a relief to know that wasn't happening and a huge bonus to hear about the album release.
I had the chance to give a dedicated listen to your album while driving home from Tulsa yesterday. I was very impressed and enjoyed it tremendously. I gotta say, something which came to mind was to recall Steve Pryor. Your album reminded me of him. Not in a way of drawing comparisons between your playing and his, so much. Steve is an Oklahoma legend and was truly and entirely himself. What came to mind was the joy of having a kick-ass, serious, and seriously good, blues-inspired guitarist with massive chops to carry on an Okie legend’s banner. Much respect!

This is a seriously good album. Please give it a listen. I'm on my third play through and there are some great riffs, motifs and hooks. Matthew and the band should be very proud of what they achieved and I hope it gets some airplay (if thats a thing these days). Wishing success for a great record and a nice guy.

I pre ordered the cd and can't wait to get it. A labor of love for sure. Congrats! I have a musician friend who builds parts guitars out of vintage parts (player's grade) and modifies existing ones, as well as restoring vintage tube amps of all types. You remind me of him, but he is much older than you and me. I first met him at an open mic he was hosting here in my town at a local bar. His old weathered sunburst Strat and vintage old seventies amp looked too crusty to me, and I didn't get why he had such funky dusty old gear. Don't gte me wrong I love vintage instruments, but his stuff was so weathered and rough. Many, many gigs had been played with this gear! A pedal board with a tube screamer that was no longer green but almost bare metal, like an old hot wheels car. A wah wah with a decaying rubber tread. That dusty crusty amp with torn tolex edges and scuffs all over.. But when he plugged it all in for a jam at the end and got his tone, maaaaan! I totally got it! His rig sounded great, clear, and pure and he was a great player. Years later after having played drums in a band of his, It was such a treat. Never judge a dusty old amp by it's cover, it could sound amazing!

One of my favorites channels its rigth hear. I enjoy, i learn, i apreciate.... Everything. Gear, playability, tone,guitar adjustment, guitar set UP, fret work... . I love music so this is a very important channel, like nik sevigny's its another one...

Thanks for being the god of player grade vintage gear. Listening to the album now - its excellent. So many influences shining through without sounding like a Tribute act (Greta Van Fleet Im looking at you...!!). Timeless... Great vocals as well as playing... soul/blues/roots/classic rock and RnB melting together i to one big picture. Love it mate

I am a late comer to your channel so apologies. I have been listening to your music a bit still need to go deep and give your record a good listen as I have not listened to it yet but, I am following you on Spotify as well. When I was your age I used to be in rock bands so I have a little experience with what that entails and you are absolutely right. It is tough.
I don't think there is anything more personal than our artistic expression regardless of what form your art takes. Having the courage to create original tunes, create new arrangements for old tunes however you do what you do it is definitely a leap of faith. One of the best jokes I heard about that is the one that goes like this: How many musicians does it take to screw in a light bulb? 100. 1 to do it and 99 to say I could do it better. hahaha
I like what I have heard from you so far man and I just want to encourage you to pursue your dream man. This is one of my late father's Latin expressions he loved: "Illegitimi non carborundum." It turns out this is not really Latin and so is meaningless but, the phrase supposedly meant: Don't let the bastards get you down." A fine sentiment regardless and I hope you will persevere over any nonsense that gets tossed in your way man.

Been following you on here since the beginning and it's been great to see the growth. Love the record (specially "mirrors", "bury the tracks" and, of course, the mighty"rest them old bones") and hope to he able to see you live someday.
