Pro tip, because I have a power bimini on my boat as well and learned the hard way. Put some sort of rubber pad or buffer on your railings where the standoffs touch down when it's all the way back. If you don't, especially since you painted your railings, it's going to scratch the sh** out of them.
Man I mean that is super impressive . You built this thing out of a box into a really high end boat with features I doubt you'd find on anything twice the price . You have the potential to make a LOT of money building custom boats for customers. Every individual system custom built .Probably the nicest pontoon boat I've ever seen
Definitely add some color to the sides and I would get another one of those bimini tops for the front of the boat as well I think that would look really good
Amazing job friggin love it like you how you always stay positive and upbeat really enjoy the content. My wife has been wanting one for the family can't wait to see it out on the water . Have a good day and stay safe Jimmy from North Attleboro Mass.
I was thinking white inserts on the panels with tan pinstripes. Or, some variation of that would look nice. Keep killing it and I love seeing Florida represented by great builders.
Add a flexible solar panel trickle charging system for your engine battery ans maybe your big main battery that way whenever you aren’t using the boat it will keep charged without needing to worry
Clear coat suggestions: scuff them all with Scotchbrite. OR fit them all in your garage by getting rid of the stands and stacking them on top of each otber in 2 levels.
Considering how much colorful lighting you have already, it would be quite cool to put in some led strips and frosted plexiglass or something as accent pieces on the outside of that fence to bring out the boat even more at night
I'd personally add that Voltage gauge back just because it's good to know voltage even if you have 2 batteries. Just install it inside of console for reference or on the outside side. Other than that, perfect. The lighted toons are the best part for sure!
They make trolling motors that work with a gps to keep your boat in one spot if you don’t want to use your anchor, that might be something to consider.
What is next door to your house? Thought it was a cemetery at first but kind of looked like covered bushes of some type. I would go with the fencing just like you have it. No extra colors on side and nobody but you will notice the different shade on the black metal but you. Also, noticed the American flag colors to Italian colors!! 🇺🇸 🇮🇹
Since he's from FL I assume they're citrus trees. They're covered like that to protect from bugs and I think to help stop spreading of the virus that has been killing citrus trees in Florida for the last decade or so
With the lights in the water. You should consider creating a lens that goes from the floor to in the water. So you can see anything swimming below you. Seems like it wouldn't be a hard addition (solid tube so the side lights don't get in the way... plexi on the top and bottom.). Fitting between the pontoons might be the hardest part. (or making the tube in an eye shape for resistance).. Love the project. Been waiting for the water!
As always, very impressive work. For the stripe colors I suggest white and tan and gold as an accent. These three colors go together and the gold could be a thin shadow line.
The switch with nothing connected to it get you a nice spotlight so just in case if someone is at a far distance you can use the spotlight to see them if they need help
The bar seats painted black will defintely look better, not that they look back now. Only concern would be if they would get super hot in the sun and people putting their feet on them while seated.
Love everything on that thing except the wood on the bar I feel like it doesn’t go with the sleekness of the rest. That being said great job man can’t wait to see how your gonna top this with the next pontoon 😜
It is looking amazing! For the color on the sides you should pick up a couple pieces of white construction paper and cut it to fit so you can see what you think. Probably wouldn't find anything tan so you could also try changing the color in photoshop.
Take a high grit sand paper to reduce the sheen, I would start with 2000 and wet sand it. Reduce to 1500 if it isn't dull enough. This may be easier than repainting. Overall, I think it looks good on camera but I understand where your coming from.
It looks awesome! I agree with a touch of white or tan on the side but, why not do a little of both? Also, I think I'd flip the mount on your rear anchor pole. Looks like it will still maintain adequate water line clearance and you'd gain about a foot of depth. Just an idea....or two!LOL!
...let me build a fabulous "fun machine" like this, have someone criticize even one simple aspect of this build and that person would have to swim back to the dock. I kid you not! More than functional, more than amazing and damned sexy watercraft!!
Wrap it. Before you go through the pain of repainting. Wrap it and enjoy it. Choose whatever colour patterning you want. And Next season, either re-fresh the wrap (new wrap) or repaint. Or as part of an 'update the boat after enjoying it' video series?
The rails were originally painted silver for a reason. Now that they are black and combined with Florida sun, it's the perfect recipe for second-degree burns. It's not always about looks.
Great job! This is beautiful! i have been trying to get some response from Pontoon Wholesalers- they have been terrible on responding. I am looking for a reliable source for rotomolded pontoons. The demand is great enough to justify one of these kayak manufacturers offering modular pontoons.
Seems like the sides could use some white or color if you are really picky. Otherwise I think it looks great. The black is way better. I definitely wouldn't bother repainting anything lol especially with 3 hours of taping.
The reason why the sheen is off is because with any type of Matt/satin clear, you have to put the second coat on exactly the same time afterwards otherwise the longer you wait, the flatter it will be. The easiest way to get around that is to scuff it back down and, only put one coat of clear on it. That way you don’t have to worry about the timing with the second coat. An easy and quick fix to make it look a lot better would simply be to take some polishing compound by hand and rub the pieces that are more flat so it will shine them up a little. I never did like spraying matte clear and I wish people understood how big of a PITA it is to keep up before they buy a specialty color on a car like that.
Consider an onboard charger/maintainer. Probably need two since you have two battery chemistries. It’s much easier than having to get to the batteries to connect a normal charger.
Instead of repainting the rails, maybe consider going with a grey camo theme and spray on top of the black rails and maybe the sides as well? Think that would look cool.
Pro tip, because I have a power bimini on my boat as well and learned the hard way. Put some sort of rubber pad or buffer on your railings where the standoffs touch down when it's all the way back. If you don't, especially since you painted your railings, it's going to scratch the sh** out of them.
Thanks for the info! I’ll do that!
This is the best project you have built. ❤
Zach, after your dad drove to Indiana to pickup your fencing, he deserves the pickup that you are rebuildin him
Great job on both builds 👍
Typical Zach. Take something that looks great and just make it so much better. What a beauty. Can't wait to see it on the water.
Man I mean that is super impressive . You built this thing out of a box into a really high end boat with features I doubt you'd find on anything twice the price .
You have the potential to make a LOT of money building custom boats for customers. Every individual system custom built .Probably the nicest pontoon boat I've ever seen
We need total cost breakdown!
Looking forward!
Definitely add some color to the sides and I would get another one of those bimini tops for the front of the boat as well I think that would look really good
Definitely paint the pedestals black. Everything matches and custom.
Use a grey Scotch Brite pad to dull the rails that are too shiny. No freaking way I'd repaint for that.
Good idea
I’ve done this to reduce “sheen” on clear when painting flexible mouldings; it will work.
Oh I hope you keep that back of the pontoon open, that looks awesome.
That's the plan!
That looks so nice. I don't think anyone except for you will ever notice the difference in that clear coat. Can't wait to see the maiden voyage.
I admire your work ethic young man 👍 I enjoy watching you build and rebuild . This pontoon boat is killer 🏆
Some tan in the sides would bring everything together. Maybe just get some tan vinyl to test it as that's a cheap & easy install.
The plan is to use vinyl
Looking great!! Break the motor in right and dial in the right prop and that toon should move!!
Looks like you knocked it out of the ballpark, nice job!
Satin black on the seat pedestals, tan accent stripes on the side, and let it eat. You are a hell of a designer and talent. It's a Great looking boat.
looks great. try polishing the matte black to bring shine out to better match shinier portions. far less work than respraying.
If you paint the stools black, I would only do the legs, not the ‘feet’ as people might burn themselves on those
Very inspiring! I take alot of your painting pointers and apply it to my furniture refinishing. It's amazing what a little patience can do!
The front and rear arches in white would be a nice touch.
Use cardboard and white paper for ur highlight of color, do each side and see what u like
LEDs on the Bimini for table lighting too
The color railing helps break up and guide your eyes to the lines. Looks great Zack.
Yes! Add the white just like you said. And maybe some in the front. Don’t worry about the tan. That’s interior 😊
Man, I love this boat!! Very well done. This boat will easily sell for $90k+. You should be in the SEMA of boats.
That is a small outboard to push that monster. Awesome build Zack.
Amazing job friggin love it like you how you always stay positive and upbeat really enjoy the content. My wife has been wanting one for the family can't wait to see it out on the water . Have a good day and stay safe Jimmy from North Attleboro Mass.
Love this boat! Glad you got the engine running!
That boat is the coolest pontoon I’ve seen. You did such a great job on it.
I was thinking white inserts on the panels with tan pinstripes. Or, some variation of that would look nice. Keep killing it and I love seeing Florida represented by great builders.
Totally worth the color change! Great work
Add a flexible solar panel trickle charging system for your engine battery ans maybe your big main battery that way whenever you aren’t using the boat it will keep charged without needing to worry
I agree some white or light grey accents on the fencing would be nice.Maybe a custom sticker cut out to the sizes needed.
For the bar just add some under desk wireless chargers. Then you can just set your phone on top of it
That turned out awesome. I love the black and tan.

Zack! You can build your own pontoon building company. Your skills have got sooo good. I would buy your boats. Enough said
They make trolling motors that work with a gps to keep your boat in one spot if you don’t want to use your anchor, that might be something to consider.
You don't need a new switch. You need a new lanyard thing. They get worn down, and don't pull the tab up high enough.
Bro great build series, I would look at a broken tan with white outline stripe on the fence. Looking awesome. Some boaters will be jealous.
lol
Just finished the video. I guess it was for nav colors not the Italian flag🤣
Since he's from FL I assume they're citrus trees. They're covered like that to protect from bugs and I think to help stop spreading of the virus that has been killing citrus trees in Florida for the last decade or so
Orange grove

Looks awesome! I think the accent color should be white to match the motor. You’ve done so much work-great job.
Love the raw gray fencing ❤
Zach, looks amazing, very exciting to see it all come together!
Tan would make the best color for the sides
You really make me wanna build my own even after working as a captain in south Florida for the last 6 years
Great work, Zach! Can't wait to see it in the water!
The bar seats painted black will defintely look better, not that they look back now. Only concern would be if they would get super hot in the sun and people putting their feet on them while seated.

Attach etched plexi where you want the white accents and light panels with LEDs to match the Hull pieces. Nice work
Deal with it!!! You are the only one that will after notice. Love the content.

Looks pretty awesome. Would be cool if all your dash/ gauges were lit up as well.
They light up with the key on
Fricken awesome man. I like this one better than the last one and that is saying a lot.
That "toon" has come out FANTASTIC Zach!!! ~Chris

Aqua-holic is some real Florida-Man type shid
great project! and very modern!
Great work!! Black pedestal for me
...let me build a fabulous "fun machine" like this, have someone criticize even one simple aspect of this build and that person would have to swim back to the dock. I kid you not! More than functional, more than amazing and damned sexy watercraft!!
Where did you get your covered enclosure how much did it cost it looks awesome
Wrap it. Before you go through the pain of repainting. Wrap it and enjoy it. Choose whatever colour patterning you want. And Next season, either re-fresh the wrap (new wrap) or repaint. Or as part of an 'update the boat after enjoying it' video series?
Are you going to wire up a Dow light to light up all the controls at the helm station
Ultimate Rebuilds is awesome! 🏆🥇💯
the spacers under the fence could us some black paint just to hide them a little. 👍👍
Wow, that pontoon looking fancy as hell
Good job as always, you're definitely going to fix that paint later 🤣
Can you lightly scotchbrite the glossier fencing?
The rails were originally painted silver for a reason. Now that they are black and combined with Florida sun, it's the perfect recipe for second-degree burns. It's not always about looks.
Man I love this pontoon boat!!!!
Please do a man in depth video of you doing the LED wiring. How you connect them together etc.
Great job! This is beautiful! i have been trying to get some response from Pontoon Wholesalers- they have been terrible on responding. I am looking for a reliable source for rotomolded pontoons. The demand is great enough to justify one of these kayak manufacturers offering modular pontoons.
Seen the gram and ran over here been waiting all season for this
You definitelly rock!
Where it curves in front of fencing and at back I would paint one white and other tan
Seems like the sides could use some white or color if you are really picky. Otherwise I think it looks great. The black is way better. I definitely wouldn't bother repainting anything lol especially with 3 hours of taping.
Looks great great work.
Just scuff the fence railing all and theyll look equally dull 😂 until you can repaint them
Looks awesome Zach

Looking good!
Everything looks awesome! Are you still going to install the fire pit?
Looking good 🎉
Cool video. Pedestals black!
Coolest pontoon ever!!
Pedestals would look nice white
you should try cerakote - more durable then paint but you can get a air cure verses having to use powder coat and oven
Love your work!!!
But are u just leaving the back open?
Great stuff brotha
you are very talent it man great job
The black looks great I’m afraid you won’t be able to touch them
nice work, hope you enjoy building these but not much fun to watch though, just a big jigsaw really, much prefer the car builds and repairs :)
Looks awesome 👍😎
