I showed this to my 5 year old daughter one day, when she went to school the teacher was talking about how God created the universe and on the seventh day He rested. My daughter said and on the 8th day he created a trucker, the teacher smiled, and said "really", then my daughter showed her this video, teacher had tears in her eyes and never saw what we REALLY do. Keep up the good videos guys.
Awesome story!! Tom Jones...I'm probably a little younger than you...27 years and counting. I still get a big smile and it still warms my heart when a child (or at heart) motions me to blow the air horn...always blow it
13 1/2 years and counting. I still blow my air horn when I see that arm, no matter a adult or child. Always put a smile on my face. I always do my pre-trips and post-trips even when I get a dirty look. 😊
Thank you to all my fellow drivers. Keep the rubber down and the Chrome up and Shinny. May your Guardian angel always be in your passenger seat with you.
I'm so proud God made my daddy a trucker, missed a lot of time with him growing up holidays, birthday's, birth ot my children, but I understood that he did it for me, my five sister and four brothers. I got to see all the country because of him. I'm proud to be a truckers daughter. I wouldn't trade him for the world.
To all the truckers out there you all are what keeps this country going. Some people don't understand the sacrifice you all make when you leave your family to make your runs across the country. So thank you for all you do.
Trucking (as well as cars) is one of the worst things created by humanity: extremely dangerous, inefficient, environmentally unfriendly. Trains are much better
I wish the general population could comprehend even a smidgen of this... it's what we do and it's a thankless job. Trucking takes its toll on EVERYTHING in your life... but you still hold that steering wheel, watch all the details, live on naps... and stay strong without support.... at least not in the 'traditional' sense. Nobody holds our hands. Sink or Float... not everyone is cut out for this profession. Like it, Love it, Hate it... it is what we do,... without question... from start til finish. Tears come to our eyes... but not because of sadness... because of sheer exhaustion. Great video Chris.. (and Steph) you guys rock..... let's throw Daniel Linns in there while we're at it. Keep up the good work. It's nice to know that there are some people who have our backs when most look at us as sinister and evil.
We are not liked because we drive a little fast sometimes. We are loud and obnoxious. Because we are alone most of the time . So we get around other drivers and have a good time. Talk about our trucks and who's is faster. But people don't mind eating the food we deliver. Or the toys they buy for kids at Christmas. Or the toilet paper they wipe with . But they don't stop and think about , most truckers would park their truck in the woods or on it's side . TO SAVE THEIR LIVES , ALOT OF TRUCKERS HAVE GIVE THEIR LIVES TO SAVE A CAR LOAD OF PEOPLE . But we are considered outlaws. I would take that name any day. Over being called a shiney seat of the pants pencil pusher. At least we work for our money. And work damn hard. People cut us off , and it's our fault. Proud to be a retired trucker with 5 safe driving awards . To all of you drivers new and old. Keep the shiney side up and the dirty side down .
Not a trucker but a pm and tire tech. Wanted to thank all you drivers for what you do. I love seeing those big wheels turning and the sound of that jake.
With out your tire techs and PM mechanics we would be in trouble…thank you for keeping us moving or getting us going again after a blow out or a breakdown
Thank you brother keep your rubber side down and your clearance lights facing up to the skies, And the cement seas under the rubber, Let your arms fall soft for the holiday brother, Rest now for after, The cement sea calls your name, Don’t let the white line fever set in!! Much love brother!
I’m not a truck driver but I have respect for all who are you do more then most people will ever understand are appreciate. If you’re a driver you so important you do matter the wheels of industry are a trucks wheels.
I miss truckin with my dad..some of the greatest times of my life...god bless u all and thank u for what u do...without u this country shuts down..stay safe and keep the rubber side down...god bless.....
Relocation Specialist...."HELL YEAH"! Oops... excuse my potty mouth Lord but thank you for the Truckers and im glad to be one myself since 1989! Chris you never disappoint my friend 👌
God made my dad a trucker. Hes been truckin for the last thirty years and he will keep driving untill he cant shift those gears anymore. And when that day comes he will smile and recall those were the best years of his life. That truck paid for me to go to school. It paid for the clothes on my back. It gave me a chance to grow up. The man behind the wheel is the man i call dad. I will always be thankful for that.
Great tribute to the brotherhood. Loved seeing the hopper bottoms in there since I’m a member of the hopper bottom mafia. Ashes to ashes dust to dust wasn’t for hopper bottoms the left lane would rust!!!!! Happy thanksgiving to all my fellow drivers.
Thank you Chris!! This is why I became a Driver i heard every story in those Videos and i became a Trucker to join those Driver's and Be Part of the team that Runs this Country in Good Times and in Bad times!! Let's Roll!! Keep on Trucking America 🇺🇸 💪
My dad's and trucker and it is really hard seeing him drive away in the truck, but not knowing if he's coming home it's really hard but he's doing it to support us 😭😭💜♥️💙
I'm on a binge of going through all these thank you videos. I have only noticed the big rigs, what about all the other professional drivers. Straight truck, pick up truck, sprinter van. We're all away from our family's to keep this country Rollin. Thank you truckers

Awesome video!! I'm second generation trucker just starting my 28 year. Not too sure of new regs but only thing I know. Stay strong my brothers and sisters 🇺🇸
Saw this for the first time today. I have a friend who is the epitome of this song, but can no longer drive due to some seizures he had as a result of cancer. There was a truck show this weekend for his benefit, and a lot of truckers showed up. I’m proud to be a small part of the trucking brotherhood!
Thanks for the video and thanks to my fellow truckers. Keep the wheels turning we can do what trains can't do. We do what computers can't do they can only assist in our job.
Great video Chris my family have been drivers since the 50's it's a great profession that gets little respect. I started in 72 an since then I feel the public has lost respect for the drivers and see us as less than human. Most wish we would disappear and give them all of the roads to themselves.
Keith James Not so Keith. Some people just don't have any respect for others at all. Don't feel singled out. A lot of people have no respect for others on the road. I see it, and I'm not a truck driver. Some of us do appreciate you all. Just drove from exit 28 of I87 Northway in N.Y. to exit 6. Just so you know, I gave a brief wave, and the thumbs up to each driver as I passed. Hope you're home for Thanksgiving. If not, God Bless anyways. 👍
This is awesome. This truly encompasses every part of the old school trucking industry. The generation that is sadly fading and sadly falling to the wayside because of regulation and new breed seat warmers. There are very few greenhorns out there now that are willing to keep this old mentality alive. Trucking is becoming less of a livelihood, and more of a job. People like you are what keep the light burning for this industry that's trying to be snuffed out. They'll never be able to kill trucking. No matter how regulated they try to make it. We will keep rolling.
Heading for the Air Force, but I'll be back on the road once I'm in the reserves. Old school Trucking will never die if I've got anything to say about it.
I feel blessed to be a truck driver I drove for 19 years starting in '85 I am retired now but am trying to get my doctor on board so I can come back out there
@Kelly Penrod Thank you Brother I appreciate it, question is after all the years I have been semi-retired if I came Back out would I be considered a rookie or steering whell holder?
My husband was a long haul trucker for 25 years . NC to California to Texas to Florida..... we weren't together back then ... I've knew each other we were good friends but I never got to ride with him ... He tells me stories about being on the road .. Makes me wish I could have gone a few times ... I would have loved to see and be in all the places he has ... one day maybe hopefully...
Good for a smile on the road during Thanksgiving. Just climbed back behind the wheel after a few months off to spend time with family. Reminds me why I started driving in the first place.
On the 8th day god made a Marine to protect his creation, a farm to care for his creation, a trucker to move the Marine and the farmers product. On the 9th day god made a mechanic to fix the equipment. Amen
I may not be a stereotypical trucker, but I do local deliveries on a daily basis and there have been many sacrifices I have made to ensure folks will have an ice cold beer at the end of a hard day and to feed my wife and I. I’m just getting started in this industry but I am proud to be a trucker.
Chris awesome video. Wanted to send out a Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your audience out there. Thank you all for what you'll do, it does not go unnoticed for some of us.
I'm working on starting the process to start my journey as a trucker and I always wanted to drive a manual semi I grew up on a rig as a kid and I hope soon I'll be driving one I'm looking forward to start and hope I can be an otr to all truckers and there family thank you for all y'all do
I myself am a trucker. My father was a trucker, he tragically passed on November 5, 2015 from a car accident. My uncle on my mom’s side was an owner operator, and he just passed away yesterday, October 14, 2021 due to cancer. It is because of them that I take pride in what I do.
Thanks Chris for making another great video Happy Thanksgiving to all you Truckers everyone in the truckers world keep up the good work keep up looking at each other helping one another and moving this free to and fro much love my brothers and sisters God didn't make a trucker
I have so much respect to truck driver. when my dad pop in for 5 minute give me and my little brother 20 dollar each take a shower and go back on the road in his 1997 red and yellow Kenworth w900l single turbo truck. He always tell me if I want something or have a question about a semi truck or a car let him know. My dad show me why he is a truck driver and how these 4 wheeler have no respect for him and show me how it is on the road with him. Show how the cloth on my back the stuff in my house and the road I drive on and the school is all they because of the truck driver community.so I give my hat of to men and women who are truck driver if people do not respect u for remember I have respect for all you truck driver.i know the you all truck driver keep the 18 wheel roading so that your family can have a better life for your family.🛣🚙🌛🌑🌝🌞
I have seen so many videos where truckers helped block criminals during police pursuits (Of course, not "their job") that I know that truckers are the "knights of the road". "We" don't think of them actively, but Truckers and Railroaders are who keep this whole dang thing rollin'. Stay safe out there! 10-4!
I am thankful for the 16 years I was able to drive I wish it could have been longer I started in 1986 and I was amazed the first time I had trouble and pulled over on the shoulder and I would have more than a handful of drivers who did not know me to holler on the CB and want to offer help
A Trucker is not what I do...It’s who I am....and I’m proud to be a Trucker.
I showed this to my 5 year old daughter one day, when she went to school the teacher was talking about how God created the universe and on the seventh day He rested.
