That’s my papaw in the beginning- he has driven 61 years and 6.5 MILLION miles with no accidents- so proud of you “uncle ben” love you !!
That's great!! My dad has a 3 million mile award no accidents!
You tell your Uncle us younger truckers love him!
Bless his soul for all the years he's put into this industry hope I can attain that myself I have 25 years
Thanks to all the safe truckers out there! My grandparents, Uncle and Dad all drove..
That’s not just a “driver”, that’s an OPERATOR!!

Mad respect to the man missing his right arm still driving a standard transmission! That's a whole different level of skill right there! 😎
Sounds dangerous and probably illegal.

I am a 5th generation trucker, part of the outlaw gang, my son is carrying on the tradition. We are the last of the Cowboys! I needed this!
My Father in Law started in 63' then owned 2 trucks. In 2008 he retired from health issues. He was 150,000. Miles shy of 10,000,000 under his belt and no violations. He passed in 2014, miss that Man. Taught me a ton
My dad started in about 2000 and is about 2,000,000
10 million miles! That's f*****g incredible, brother! Shiny side up!
That almost 600 miles a day, every single day, for 47 years. Unpossible.
@@bellboy4074 not impossible bud. He was an over the road driver for many years and he drove for the military at 1 point hauling JP4 fuel. Even when he started running dedicated runs; 4-5days a week, 3200- 3700 a week was a slow week.
On paper logs, anything is possible 😅
71 years old. Been driving a truck for 41 years. Love it. Plan on driving for 4 more years. More than a job, it is a way of life.
Lamar Westmoreland glad to hear that sir! Too many people out here complaining about how it used to be instead of enjoying the ride!

Drove 2 months shy of 45 years before retirement.started in 77 legally. If there was ever a song that summed up my life, this is it. I never wore sandles or shorts. Always jeans and boots. I learned the respect of freedom and all its responsibilities. Life was amazing back then. To live the life that I have lived was a true blessing. I am, the last of the cowboys. AMEN, THANK YOU LORD!!!
The Last Of The Cowboys ...... I can’t believe what they’ve done to this country. I never would’ve believed it...... Hopefully there’s enough of us out here to save her. I love The Asphalt So much. I love this country so much. What happened to us ????? Am I the only one??? I can’t be the only one. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have 4 and a 1/2 million miles behind me. Never thought I would ever say I am sick of trucking. I have an amazing job that I run a relay 600 miles a night. Best job in the world. Every night you fight so hard to keep from getting an accident.. Other truckers are crazy.. Most do not even speak English. They are Watching TV as they drive up the road at 50 mph.😔😔
I used to look forward to going to work at night.. Now I dread it.
They gutted the country / just got to vote Trump in 2024, stock up on ammo and supplies and all that
I know what you mean brother. I deal with it everyday myself. Damn shame@@billramsey7455
Most old school truckers like me were cow boys back then, I grew up on a farm hauling livestock from farmer to farmer in a 59 kW w925 for 39years.
been there with my gramps and father- but they also hauled material out of there own gravel pits thats how i became a cowboy trucker
I rode as a child with my father hauling cattle back in the sixties, what a trip !

Sir John Doe of PennsWoods what the fuck is your problem ? Get the fuck out of here.
@@griffinwiegert527 I'm pretty sure,it's shitty ass John garrison. He went into stealth mode as John doe,I think he's a miserable soul because he couldn't pass the written exam. So never got to be one of the last of the real American cowboy!! So he decided to troll the pages of us forever legends of the highway and the byway's,only us Truckers know. That's ok John boy you can always go to the pilot or stuckeys if there's any of those left. And get you one of those scale model trucks, and sit or lay your shitty ass in your mommas kitchen floor and pretend use your imagination. I'm sure your use to doing that about actually getting laid! So now you can have one hand on Barbie and one on that Hess truck. So now you can have two toys for rubbing on your ding ding instead of one. There there little fella now every body wins...

Google search engine brought me here because the tour bus was parked in our Walmart at 5:30am this morning. I grew up a hazmat trucker's daughter. And some of y'all paved the way for us asphalt cowGIRLS too!! Thanks to ALL the wonderful drivers that helped me make it in the beginning, I appreciated it more than you'll ever know. I had to come off the road in '15 and even though it's changed drastically out there, I do miss it!! Y'all be safe, keep it between the ditches with the shiny side up. Prayers for all you cowboys and cowgirls out there!!🙏🧡🙏
I've been on the road 10 years, million miler, and I learned how to make a decent living outlaw trucking from several old timers who took me under their wings. God bless those guys there are too few of them left. The more numerous elog steering wheel holders don't hold a candle next to those Gentlemen of the Road.
My dad showed me the ropes and his dad showed him (may they both R.I.P.). My sis n I both followed in their tire tracks. My daughter just passed her C.D.L. permit test (1st try!) this afternoon and will start training with sis Monday morning in a tractor with a REAL, a.k.a. manual transmission. She'll be a 4th generation trucker, but, she's always kept a picture of her grandpa taped to the dash in her car. She says that he watches out for her even when she's not driving, and, sis and I believe her. We've both felt dads presence protecting us in many ways in the 11 years since his fatal crash.
Outstanding

its a sad day my friends... i still look at every truck with respect and admiration of what you do.. but in the day we live in, more and more foreigners are behind the wheel.. they dont respect where trucking came from and the ones that came before them. and im sorry to offend but it pisses me off. i remember the day when you could jump on a cb and talk to the most amazing people. now though its like that trucking brotherhood is gone. and it pains me. noone speaks the same language and dont understand that brotherhood of the road. so ill say this for those on the road that are seeing what i am. im sorry but you are not forgotten. we love you guys. keep on trucking and keep it between the ditches. america loves you!

Tony Justice is awesome! I’m a trucker myself and I’m going on the voice and he’s my inspiration
I so miss my cowboy 😔💔🤠🚛 He drove several million miles with no accidents. He passed away October 3, 2014 and he is greatly missed. He was the best husband, Dad and Bumpa. He stood 6'4", size 16 boot, looked mean and tough but that was just looks. He never raised his voice or hand to me, that is the definition of a real man. A few days before he passed away he told me that he wished he could box us all up and take us with him. He was too young at 60 years old to be taken 😔 He hauled cement, rock, fly ash and developed Silicosis( black lung disease). I miss the sound of the air breaks as he pulled into our gravel drive on this old farm. He was raised here, we raised our children here and now our grandchildren make memories here. He was to all of us The Man, The Myth and A Pure Legend 🤠😇💔
Deepest condolences
