I was an OTR driver for quite awhile until one day i came home for my hometime and the wife said.."Oh by the way, You have a drive test on Sunday" She found me local driving job so i wouldn't have to be gone.
Listen to your songs a lot. Some make me laugh, some make me miss my trucker even more, some bring tears, while others bring smiles but they are all great! Been a truckers wife for 23 years and he has been driving for 35. It is a hard life on both sides and takes two strong trusting people to survive it. I cannot imagine a driver calling home and being told this but know it happens and too often. I raised our kids and became a fix it all person while he earned a living and missed so much with them and me. I know he has it a lot harder OTR inside that truck with nothing but the radio and putting up with all that goes with the job. We spend a lot of time on the phone. I spend a lot of nights on the phone all night while he drives to keep him company. I love when he comes home and immediately start dreading leaving time. I never know if it will be the last time I get to hold him and tell him I love him when he climbs in that truck and drives away. It is a very hard and lonely life and even more so for me now that the kids are grown and gone. I look forward to the day he can walk through that door and tell me hung the keys up for the last time! Until then I will keep the home fires burning and wait for home time. Fully support your driver! It is not a life for whiners! Be willing to give your all and then some for your driver.

I worked for star Transport out of Morton Illinois and I was talking to a fellow driver who said trucking saved his marriage because he's gone all the time. I didnt have the heart to tell him his wife was sleeping around while he was gone. It's sad that theres people that's blind to see the real reason but when they tell there story the other person sees what's going on behind closed doors before they can.

I love this version! I play it all the time and my fiance says that sounds like us. Couple months ago it was us. He said me or the job, I basically told him I can still make Laredo. It's a rough life some days and it takes special people to do the job and to stay at home while their loved one is doing the job. Thankfully my fiance and I patched things up, but we both know the threat is still there.
27 year old trucker wife.been on the road with him for almost a year and there are times in afraid and hate this life. today we were at a shipper for eight hours without food. talk about torture. and going to the bathroom is a nightmare also. the other hardest thing about being a truckers wife, if we have to see his family more than 4 times a year and I hate my mother in law because she told me I wasn't worthy enough to be considered a daughter in law, so why would I want to Vista this witch more than once a year? can't always shower, and I constantly afraid of us getting in an accident, but I'm making the best out of it.
I recently got back on the OTR long haul and have not been home for a month. I have a girlfriend that I love alot and this song just made me cry. I hope this does not happen to me or anyone else. I love my girlfriend more than anything but driving is the only career I have left. Prayers and wishes go out to all drivers and their families

Yes I now how it years tips a family apart too.love the music and the life but chose my daughter over the road 13 years ago.never made the wrong move either

If you haven't lived this" you won't understand it " for those of us who have We have paid a hell of a price . 43 yrs and still going and I don't know why.
I guess this song hits home hard. 3 years of my trucking life I was married. He was my co driver for so long but he didn't want to do it anymore, he wanted everything and a 40 hour job wasn't going to pay the bills and what he wanted so I wanted back out on the road, he didn't we ended up divorcing because this is my life, it takes someone special to do this job. So now I'm out on the road alone with my dog.
Girl you hang in there. There is a man out there for you some where. I'm a truck drivers wife yes it is hell but when you love someone the way I say I love him there is no other man crosses my mind. Your right it takes a strong person to do this. I never thought I could but when I met Jarvis i knew that I could do it cause I love him. Your in my prayers stay strong and thank you for everything you do.
He's a really great singer, I love his voice and melodies his lyrics are always on point, he will forever be missed, You're a real fan of country music.
I know there are truckers out there that are faithful to their wives and wives that are faithful to their husbands.i was a truckers wife and I loved going on the truck over the road and I do respect you truckers. It is a hard job really and hard being away from you spouse. My ex cheated on me more than once out there and I supported him whole heartedly but he still cheated I treated him like a king and he left me and divorced me him being a trucker cost me my husband of 32 years. Although I do still respect all of y'all out there who do the right things or not. I just don't respect my ex anymore. Sorry I had to write this for the ones who don't make it. Thanks for reading it.
God this songs hits so deep and can't imagine trucking back in my dad's time when you had to find a payphone just to make a call but even with cell phones nowadays and being able to video chat is just as bad in my opinion, you get to hear and see your love ones but not able to be with them is what hurts the most. I've been through countless girlfriends & a few wife's and I'm not even in my thirties but thankfully I've not had kids and put them through barely seeing them and being raised by there mom.
This brings back many memories of my lone days out on the big road as a owner op. Late night rides listening to a driver singing into the cb. Your voice is soothing.
Truckers are what keeps America running. Imagine if all truck drivers in the U.S said were not driving for a week. Man America would really be shut the fuck down.
After 45 years driving I have a lot to show for it. Started in 1964 retired 2010. 2 ex wives, 2 ex houses, 4 ex children. Lost money, cars and a lot of personal stuff. Would I do it again? HELL NO.
Just the emotions of the original song is rough. But you put it together beautifully. Can't count the times i as a lady trucker was told he'll be long gone. Thank you Brad.

God bless our women many have been to hell and back but stayed with her man, 44 years now retired she lived through it all, I was a rambler all my life and it takes a special woman to stick, she took many trips with me over the years.
5* :) Thank you, Sir!! Truck safe out there!!
Hello Tonya 👋 how are you doing today, hope you’re good??
This song was meant for truckers, theres way more truckers than bull riders!
Well done to all the truck drivers male and female world wide you do a great job stay safe and well done 👏 ❤.keep trucken.
I whent out on the rd. With my son Jimmy King you all have a very hard job people just would not no love your songs .
Have a beautiful voice.
Love this ❤️ February 8 2020

Awesome voice buddy!!!
My neighbor is a truck driver and on his days on the road I pay his wife a visit🤫
Memories of when I was OTR. I lost my wife and kids do to my job.
You are not alone brother I lost my wife and 2 boys do to the career too 13 years married divorced August 22nd 2018
I was a trucker for over 20 years and I have lost a few relationships being a driver
I no the feeling of losing someone because of being away on the highway longer than being home
I am a truck drivers wife of 26 years and for the first 6 years I was a rider but if you can’t beat ‘em join em and that’s what I did and I now have been a team driver for the last 23 years with my husband we have good and bad days but to be together is what is was all about I love that man with my every being and glad we made that choice together
Truckin takes a special breed of men and women but as my old uncle used to say it gets in your blood
Me to 😂 and the bathroom 🤣 I have the same number to make sure you get home 🏡 I have a i
27 year old trucker wife.been on the road with him for almost a year and there are times in afraid and hate this life. today we were at a shipper for eight hours without food. talk about torture. and going to the bathroom is a nightmare also. the other hardest thing about being a truckers wife, if we have to see his family more than 4 times a year and I hate my mother in law because she told me I wasn't worthy enough to be considered a daughter in law, so why would I want to Vista this witch more than once a year? can't always shower, and I constantly afraid of us getting in an accident, but I'm making the best out of it.
My biggest fear as a or driver
I recently got back on the OTR long haul and have not been home for a month. I have a girlfriend that I love alot and this song just made me cry. I hope this does not happen to me or anyone else. I love my girlfriend more than anything but driving is the only career I have left. Prayers and wishes go out to all drivers and their families
Damn good version!!!! Thank you!!!
Great job on the video👍🏻
I was chasing that dollar at 19 years old got a phone call saying it was over due to being away so much she did give me a option of trying to save it but I got back in my truck an fired it up an headed back in the woods for another load been driving for 15 years now an I don’t plan on leaving the seat anytime soon
Your comment reminds me of Brad Paisley's song, "I'm Gonna Miss Her".
Also, Reckless Kelly's "Wicked Twisted Road".
32 years in now and it’s still a pretty good living but it ain’t no life …!!!! Thank a Trucker because without us you would have nothing !!!!!!
This is to all my truckers friends be safe out there
Great song version Brad. Unfortunately very realistic. Love it though. Keep up the great work.
God bless y'all Truckers and thank you for your sacrifice🇺🇸
Purely awesome , brought tears to my eyes
Yes I now how it years tips a family apart too.love the music and the life but chose my daughter over the road 13 years ago.never made the wrong move either
I just started my truck driving job and i thank god everyday that i have a very loving wife that understands my passion for truck driving and she fully supports me thank you baby i love you and the kids with all my heart
Hello Dennis 👋 how are you ??
Been there done that, twice.
My boyfriend is on the road with the carnival he rides in the semis he wishes he could be a trucker
Hi Elizabeth 👋 how are you doing today?
nice! another brother trucker singin' awesome country music, thank you for share with us

I know all about this my ex wife couldn't handle me being on the road she lift while I was gone I feel for this 🎶 an the asphalt cowboys today
I 💜that song it's great thank ya for sharing reminds me of an old flame I 🖤'd from Cheyenne
BEST version I have heard a quality Country Voice
There's a reason so many rigs are named "Jolene"
Awww I was listening to the George straight version when I was driving truck in Wyoming... Really got me emotional!
I’m 100 miles from that Wyoming line right now
I know there are truckers out there that are faithful to their wives and wives that are faithful to their husbands.i was a truckers wife and I loved going on the truck over the road and I do respect you truckers.
Hello Barbara 👋 how are you, doing good I hope ??
I lost my wife year ago becouse lm truck driver and don,t spend much time in home but l work hard every day to better life😞
Very well done, as always, I love your trucker versions. I drive for Millis Transfer
I've been driving for some long hard years and this song hits you in heart.. deffinetly one of your best!
My son is a turck us gir love him it
Love it! I half expected my wife to tell me that every time I called home
Thank you Brad.
same here
Good One ....I Need to Make a Video Now Haha. 2019
Wow. You shouldn't be driving trucks, you should be in the music biz. Great voice. Stay safe.
I love this version of this song. It was so sad yet so true, This lifestyle takes 2 very special types of people to make it work. God Bless you!
I did this conversion in a truck too, only mine went " the irony is , you are the reason that I'm doing this."
I am a 36 year old Trucker Wife is currently in process of leaving it’s no surprise though It’s been Rougher than Hell on Earth and All I can say is I’ll be still searching for My Truckers Wife strong Woman I may have found one
Well, that phone came in , she didn’t bother to ask what was wrong , she just pointed that truck towards that Wyoming line , and if she hurries, she will make Cheyenne, by Christmas Day, cause that old trucker girl ain’t afraid of no Wyoming wind , ❤️
