Just various things like that, and watching your How a spy thinks videos help me learn more about what to do.

I resently picked up a strange ks liberty launcher , which is considered an underpowered weapon, Sure it might be not as good as stock ( or any other primary) , but trying something new was actually fun. I think people shouldn't be a victim of the "meta" and try out weapons and loadouts that they haven't used before.

But when I saw ur “How a spy thinks” I’ve learned ALOT, from knowing what knife / cloak to use on the right situation, to knowing how to act, to knowing when to strike. Those whiffed stabs when you had clear back were painful to watch, because I've been having that happen to me way too often lately too. It's something up with the melee hit registration. They might've tweaked the code a bit and that resulted in us spies missing stabs we should've had.

Hello, I’m new to TF2 and wanna be a spy main. However, I keep failing and end up with 4 kills and like 30 deaths. I can’t pull off trickstabs and can barely do anything right. How long did it take you to get this good, and how much practice until I can reach that level too?
He probably has around 1000 hours as spy, maybe 2000. I have 50 hours and I can already get some stabs and do basic spy stuff. It depends on your learning speed tho. If you're a slow learner then it may take you a few hundred hours before you can be somewhat fluent as spy. Hope this helps.
Matthew Simone I have about 100 hours in Spy and I got some advice Don't overestimate or underestimate the speed of the target while trying to do a trickstab, mostly matador or corner stabs. If disguised, you will be slower unless you choose to disguise as Spy or Scout. So if you are chasing something a bit faster than your disguise, then you are at a big disadvantage. Disguising as an Engi will make you JUST a bit slower. Mr. Paladin said this in another episode, don't expect any disguise to work and be prepared. It helped me a lot and it might help you. Just because you have another weapon doesn't mean you have to use it. Find the weapon you can use the most, and fits the solution of your problem and you might no da wae. And the last tip I have is actually 2 tips kind of mixed. This is very important.. USE THE REVOLVER Seriously, all new Spy mains i see always go for stabs, getting theirself killed. So if you are not in a good condition or range to knife the target then use your pistol to scare enemy just enough to get away or finish them off. The 2nd one seems very weird and useless but it helps a bit. If the enemy is going to kill you for sure and you can't get away don't just accept your fate. Try to either run away or get them to lower amounts of HP. Your team can finish them.
Matthew Simone biggest tip i can give (only 400 hours on spy, 1300 on tf2) is learn to use your revolver. Itll be your best friend when your knife backstabs you and misses.

Its amazing how I often come back to the core basics of spy. Just accomplishing the very basics of spy is enough to break the mentality of team and start to get them on tilt. No other class can really create mind games as much as spy which is why it's incredibly satisfying to kill paranoid targets
Stalking is actually my favorite strategy when it comes to be an affective spy. I like to stalk my enemies while invisible, and once they come across a teammate, I take a big step back to decloak and give em a good back massage while they are distracted in fighting my teammate(s)! EDIT: And the best part about it is when there's a bunch of ememies at the payload/control point all distracted by your teammates, and you just sneak up behind them and boom! Back stabbed!! 😈😈
