I once tried this in reverse. A stray cat was very nervous of me, so I lay down on the floor, flat on my back and showing my belly. She came over immediately and started purring. The whole thing worked like a charm and we were bonded from that moment.
My cat loves for me to scratch her belly she will lick my hand and purr. She also pushes at my hand if I stop scratching.
Did you take the cat in?
Wtf
That sounds hilarious

So basically its because they're showing that they trust you to NOT mess around with their belly when given the opportunity.
And to be fair he DID say "most"cats don't like their tummies being rubbed, because I had one who just lived for it. Mind you, in all the eleven years I had him, I never did find anything he didn't like... except going to the vets!
@@Warriorking.1963 My shnoogly lil bastard jumps in my car if I leave the door open too long. Trips to the vet don't bother him at all.
And he loves having his tummy rubbed.
When I get home from work he flops down and exposes his belly, and there's hell to pay if I ignore him.
Ah. So it's like "See this? Can't have it!!"
Mine are doing it to trap me into rubbing their bellies and getting my hand shredded yet again...
i have one cat that loooves belly rubs and i have one that wants to like it but doesn’t want to expose that he actually likes attention .. (he’s the animal alpha in the house of 3 pets, he’s gotta keepthat “tough guy” look) 💀
It's a trap, "touch my fluffy belly"
Then.....claws and teeth
R Right the finesse is crazy 😂😂

Exactly. My cat lures me when she rolls over .Then bite me in my hands or feet as strong she can without hurting me.
G.S addict: my buddies cat is soft paw retaliation, my barn cat is full kill mode
I Tried touching my cats belly he allmost bite me
Meow, meow means "feed me feed me"; then he flops over on his back to say "Look I am fainting with hunger!" My cat is so dramatic.
One of my cats demonstrates his hunger first hand by chewing on my fingers, like really trying to bite them off.
One of mine does the "fainting" with hunger too lol
My kitty just annoys the crap out of me by meowing incredibly loud or just getting a fe centimeters from me and meowing. He also drags his water bowl when he wants water.
Mine does the exact same thing. I tell my mom and sis but they don't believe me.
They usually meow loudly in your face or bite you to say they are hungry.
When my cat ahows her belly she's saying, "Go ahead. Make my day." And I, with certain knowledge that she will shred my hand, try to pet her belly...
I just can't help myself...
Totally, i used to get a thick leather glove to rub my cats belly and she seemed to enjoy going medieval on it, very similar to what she would do to toys when playing hunt.
Yeah, my sister's cat shows his belly but instantly goes into attack position. It is how he plays, but he doesn't know how to be gentle.
Cat: shows belly
Me: rubs belly
Cat: I trusted you! You were the chosen one!
Me: you trusted me, and I failed you

My cat loves it too.
My cat loves having her belly rubbed. As a matter of fact she loves to be scritched everywhere.
I've known a few cats who absolutely *loved* belly-rubs. Of course, one of them loved playing fetch and could do, like, 30 tricks on command, so it was probably just a dog in disguise.
My cat likes belly rubs and he can play fetch, but he's gotten lazy about it now that he's an adult. He'll run to where you throw a toy, but bring it back only about half way if he bothers to pick it up at all.

I call them Belly-cats or Anti-Belly cats! We were lucky to have two tabbies who liked the belly rubs and a friendly brown tabby who definitely didn't.
I saved a kittens life after some crazy person threw 5 babies out in the woods across the street from my home. 4 were dead and I buried them and the last one wasn't in the same area. He must've managed one last meow cause I heard this little fella! Thank God! He'd been there for so long he was stuck to the ground! I couldn't help but cry in pain for this poor little guy! Well, he was 3 wks old the vet told me! And they also told me that I did save this kittens life! 😁💗 The reason I'm telling you all this is because he truly believes me to be his actual Mother! And I've learned what he likes and I've had to almost take on the mother cat time! From teaching him how to dig a hole to potty, wipe him with a damp cloth to clean him, and to love me back! Which the last was very easy! Because I can pretty much touch him or do anything to him and he loves it! I have learned that he loves it when I put my nose on his and I rub my nose against his and all over his head and he has to be touching me when we sleep! He is my little man! And he is thriving! I watch him learning how to get his eyes and paws in sync. He had a wobble head thing going on at first but is very good at paw/eye combos now! I'm so thankful that God put me in the right place at just the right time! Because this little guy, Bubba, has saved my life too! Thank you for letting me share this with you guys!

I have a weird cat. When he rolls over he yells at me until I give him a belly rub
Nah, just properly tamed! A lot of cats people have are only semi-tame, a fully tamed/human socialized cat is more like a dog.Its funny in the comments here when you see people who have one, they think they are "a dog stuck in a cats body" when in reality its what a properly socialized cat is like. They should seek out affection and come when called, much like a dog. Ive rescued dozens of stray cats and re-homed them in the past and honestly cared for more than i can remember, handling them within the first 3 weeks is crucial! If they don't get handled within that early stage, they are most likely never going to be fully tamed, they still semi-wild and just use their human for food mostly :) I still love them all regardless.
I have to say hello to my cat with a full chest and belly rub.
+Ken Lompart my cat loved belly rubs and the occasion of neck rubs
I have two cats that love it and one that doesn't. Lilly will actually stretch out her body as much as she can and that means she just wants a belly rub. While other times it truly is a trap. She will grab you and wont let you go. Signs of aggression are not there. Her ears are faced forward and has a play posture while her back legs scratch the crap out of you. Peaches wont expose her belly until you start petting her and when you stop she reaches out to grab you and pulls you back to pet her again. Peaches has never used her claws on me.

I don't know where you live (wish you were in Toronto, Ontario) as there is a cat who wanders around my part of the street looking for love! The neighbours feed him, but can't let him in as they have two dogs. I have heard he actually does have a home but for some reason doesn't like being there as there are now children in the home. I absolutely love kitties but am terribly allergic!! I am always interested in their behaviors.
So my grandparents have a small cat that they rescued as a kitten and have had for a few months now and I swear, she is one of the craziest cats I have ever met. She loves to roll over for belly rubs, she loves water and will even wash her paws, and her favorite activity is playing with hotweels. Not even joking. Whenever I come to their house after school she greets me at the door and sits on the stairs where the track is and waits for me to send some cars down. When I go to retrieve them from the bottom of the stairs she rubs up against my arm.
omg, our gray and white tuxedo cat Fiona will roll over on her back and demands you stop and give her a good belly rub. and she dips her front pawns in the dogs water bowl and washes her paws and face.. and shes so dam cute she shes doing it. She sometimes eats soft food with her paw also.. all proper like to. My other 2 cats don't like their bellies rubbed. or wash there paw. But they all seem to like water and will play in the sink or if the faucet is running they will go under it and drink the water as it comes out.
My Siamese cat loves having his belly rubbed (usually). But then, he's a very unusual cat. For one thing, he's a Siamese that barely talks (and doesn't have the usual Siamese voice when he does).
Our little Figaro loves belly rubs & playing in water... he’s accidentally slipped into the full bathtub a few times, which he didn’t like too much, but it doesn’t keep him away from the water. I was thinking of getting him a cat water fountain but not sure what kind of mess he’ll make 😻

Cats teach consent by tooth and claw. Oh, and love. Mostly love, if you listen to them and treat them right. I've also found that most cats DO like having their bellies rubbed, but only after building serious trust and showing them that they are in charge of when, how, and how long the belly is rubbed. I heart cats!

My two females will groom for 20 minutes & then roll over in the weeds & dust for belly rubs. ... silly kitties
I find that the exposed belly is less an invitation for petting, more an invitation for playing. Just don't forget that cats have sharp claws and teeth, so, trying to play with them in this manner with your hand is likely to lead to some scratches even if you're careful. Best to get a feathery type toy and use it to tickle their belly instead and let them enjoy going after it.
Both mine like belly rubs, suppose it just depends on the cat.
its a lot like being ticklish, cats can get used to it after a long time and it makes them less sensitive. but most cats kinda freak out when you try to rub their belly :)
Despite being a rescued urban stray & one hell of a fighter, my cat will literally lie on her back for hours & millions of belly rubs. She purrs & purrs & purrs like no other cat I've ever known too.

@@eliannetremblay As much as i want it to, i doubt it will. There are very few cats willing to play like that except by someone they trust. And even then, if you aren't doing it while they're young, so they get used to you, they likely never will.
My former neighbor had a grey tuxedo that would climb up me & wrap herself around my neck.

We have three cats. One we've nicknamed "Bi-Polar" as the only safe place to pet her is her head and chin, and it is definitely affection on her terms alone; she comes to you. Her sister does the rolling over on her back thing, doesn't mind if you rub her chest area but forget the belly; she'll go after you with all four feet. The third cat is a rescue kitty and we think must have been raised around a dog. She flops right over for belly rubs and loves them. Sweetest kitty I've ever had.
out cats love belly rubs
@Sparka lol, that cat sounds so confusing. To pet or not to pet...
Sparka Time to rehome that cat
Sparka: We have a rescue cat. Found her when she was a few months old -- or rather she found us. She is 4 years now. She loves to intimidate our 10 year old Beagle and any interaction with her has to be on her terms only. We nick named her the 'evil creature'. She stalks us and often 'attacks' us on the stairs. (Hit and run maneuvers.) If you don't feed her when SHE decides she needs to eat, she will bite us on the ankle. Evil. But she makes us laugh at her feeble attempts to 'kill' us. We act like we are her and say for her "I would kill you, but I have a feeding coming up ..." We let her out when SHE wants to go out and we let her in when She wants to come in -- which, by the way, is more and more frequent now. Even on a clear and sunny warm day she will come back to the door and cry to come in after only being out for, sometimes, 20 minutes. I think she does like being around us because we pretty much just leave her be. Our interaction with her is strictly on her terms and I think she does appreciate that. We don't have to have her be lovey dovey. It is enough for us to know that we saved her life. At least she does not claw after us. The claws can be worse than the teeth; and bites are quick -- like i said -- hit and run attacks. I really think it is her way of playing. Sometimes she just stares at us from a distance. Again we speak for her and say what we think she is thinking, '... what in the hell happened to them cats, man. They lost all their hair and they forgot how to walk on all fours and they are the worst jumpers I have ever seen; but yet they manage to hunt really well and share their kill with me. Hmm ..." How can you not love animals.
I love cats SO MUCH!!! :)
I have two, my oldest is a rescue, and the other is one of her kittens from her only littler. Her baby, always greets me with a plop and roll to expose her belly. Honestly, she doesn't mind her tummy rubbed if I pay attention to other parts of her body while rubbing the tummy. The mother however, she just loves it all lol xD. She'll lie on her back with her front paws drawn up and back legs stretched out and let me rub her belly back and forth for... well... as long as I'll do it. I have spoiled and handled these cats excessively so they are very well behaved and do not scratch of play roughly. They also like when I 'groom' them, I will use the tip of my nose as they would use their tongue to clean one another. I'll rub my nose tip on them in the same places I see them cleaning one another. I honestly enjoy this, and so do they as it gets lots of purrs and kissy eyes. It's also a good way to bond with them I feel, as grooming is such a social behavior with them. If I had my own place I'd have kept the whole litter, unfortunately I couldn't :( But they all went to amazing homes! Did I mention I FRIGGEN LOVE CATS!
When my cat rolls over, he WANTS his belly rubbed.
Same here
If our cat was wide awake when he rolled over it meant he wanted to play and would scratch the bottom of our slippers viciously, biting them as well (he got very upset if he missed the slipper and got our ankles). If he was sleeping or very relaxed when he rolled over he loved a massage of his upper chest and armpits. I say 'was' and 'used to' because he died of cancer almost two weeks ago. Nice to watch your video and remember how great our relationship with him was and what joy he brought to ours lives. (Although we are left with very raggy sofas).
I hope you feel better... 😢
so sorry for your loss :(
He was a very lucky cat to own you, and I'm sorry for your loss.
"This is not treacherous behavior." I love that caveat because yes, an exposed belly is so inviting! But pet there and yep, get attacked. Thank you for clarifying this is not indeed a ttrap set by the cat but simply an expression of relaxation and trust.
My cat's used to go with me and my son on evening walks!

Mine will let me at hers sometime. But she doesn't like it
My housemates don't understand the cat at all and every single time the cat rolls over they go for the tummy rub and get bitten. I've tried to explain that showing belly is a show of trust and that to then touch the belly is a betrayal of that trust, but they apparently think I'm just making it up and that the cat is doing something wrong by acting in this way.
I use how good men are with cats as a barometer of whether they're trustworthy, and my housemates clearly don't understand consent despite the cat doing his utmost to teach them about it with his teeth and claws.
They also keep giving the cat milk, despite me repeatedly telling them cats are lactose intolerant, and that no matter how much the cat may enjoy milk, it's not good for him.
I need better housemates.
How do you measure trustworthiness in a woman then?
Marry her. She'll have a loaded gun aimed at you thereafter. It will be like the cat showing the tummy: i'm vulnerable there, but i trust you not to pull the trigger, take half of YOUR shit and make you never see your kids again, make you live out of your car or worse. And no, i've not had such an experience.
Ugh that is aweful about your housemates. I think it is a good sign of if they respect your boundaries if they don't respect your cat's. Some people treat cats like just their own personal entertainment they are entitled to instead of complex creatures with needs and deserving of respect.
@@rickyarner4200 here comes the stereotypes...god dammit

All three of my cats love having their belly petted. They like being petted pretty much everywhere. My tip would be to start petting them on their belly from kittenhood because this allows them to trust you from early life and that you’re not going to hurt them when you touch them there.
My cat loves a tummy rub and has never hissed or clawed at me or my young daughter. She is the most affectionate and chilled out cat I've ever owned. She comes when you call her, even if it's not for food, she plays fetch, she doesn't do the circling before lying down, she is always trying to sit on me before I've even settled into the sofa! She always greets us when we arrive home. She sits by your side all day if you're ill, she protects my daughter when she's sleeping, if you cry she runs her face against yours and stays by your side. She actually puts am arm around you if you're sad. When my daughter has had tantrums, instead of running from the noise she jumps on to her and my daughter has no choice but to stroke her and calms instantly.
She's the best... I will never have another like her I'm sure.😻
...but the fluffiest part is cats their belly. ^^
You guys and these videos have helped me out as a new cat owner tremendously. Thank you, sincerely.
Always amazed when they say that cats don't like their belly touched. Every cat I've ever had has wanted their belly scratched when flipping down in front of me. They flip over, I pet, and each one seems content.
I hated cats until about 6 years ago I was never mean too them I can't even give a reason why I didnt like thrm. Well here I sit 6 years later we have 4 cats 2 males 2 females our oldest is just over 5 and shes the boss lol. My point is that after having all 4 cats all for atleast 2 years min I truly can see how diffrent they are and how smart they really are and I couldnt picture our house or 3am wake ups without these crazy cats lol.
I’m glad you have joined cat gang 🙂
That black cat with orange eyes is the best cat to keep as a pet imo so cute and unique 😻🙀😻
And fwuffy 😂🥰
We now have the only cat I’ve ever encountered who loves being petted all over, tummy included. She also follows us around, comes when we call, and has the loudest purr I’ve ever heard. Best cat ever.
I am NOT a cat person but a neighbourhood cat my daughter befriended is using sorcery to bewitch me into liking him. He walks into my house and if the door is closed will jump onto the windowsill and hit the glass with its paws to get my attention. He is using his dark arts on me and I am succumbing to his charms. He settled on my lap and we napped for 2 hours yesterday when I was ill. He butts me with his head until I rub and scratch his head and especially sides of his face. Why does he do that? Also I always put down water for him but he never drinks it. Do cats not need much? He doesn't seem to want cat food either but eats the treats up. Is special cat milk good?
When a cat head-butts you, that's like saying "you're part of my group", so it sounds like the cat you've semi-adopted has also adopted you! And of course, scratching/rubbing the cheeks is something most cats like from their People. Head-butting and cheek-rubbing his how they anoint you with their scent (though of course we can't smell it). Cats in general don't drink a lot of water (definitely less than dogs), they get much of their fluid requirements from their food; must be due to their ancient desert origins.
@@annedwyer797 oh that's interesting about the water, it makes sense. This cat is very easy going, seems quite 'dog like' really. Cats always made me nervous, because I find them hard to read, (and they can scratch!) but this one is very friendly. I squished his paw a little by accident and felt awful but he forgave me instantly! Nice to know his rubbing is a sign of being happy with us. Thank you!
Some cats really like to drink water and some don't so much. It's just individual. They should always have clean water available, though. Don't let them get away with treats only. If they're hungry they will eat cat food. They don't have the enzymes to digest milk. It will give them diarrhea. I'm can't remember for sure, but I think goat's milk is okay. I have a cat who always insists on sharing my yogurt.
You're very lucky this kitty has chosen you. He sounds like a great one. Look forward to one of the loves of your life.
@@fabulousbabe thank you! I saw special cat milk at the shops and thought about trying it coz it bothered me he never drank the water. I'd heard cows milk wasn't good but didn't know why, will definitely avoid it now! He's a lovely cat, I don't think he's a stray as he has always been around my area and looks in excellent condition but still pops round to mine 2 or 3 times a day. Sometimes he stays for a few hours at a time. He probably has "homes" all over the area!
My cat definitely has a few "homes" he was gaining weight. I now have to restrict his food at home. I don't know everywhere he goes so I can't track everyone down who is giving him treats.
I would keep offering him the water. If you give any other food or drink he could gain weight which may be dangerous or you could stimulate an allergy he may have to something else.
Keep enjoying his company 😻😻
We have a Grey Bobtailed stray where I live and he absolutely loves me. If he hears my voice he comes running to me, and rolls over and over, and sometimes wont stop till I DO rub his belly. He then closes his eyes curls up in front paws and purrs very loudly. XD
In 2000 I brought a 5 year old cat home from the RSPCA. I sat on the sofa and let him explore (after he'd come out from under a table!). Ten minutes later he jumped onto my knee and flipped over onto his back. I was amazed at that level of trust so soon.
Cat: Rolls over and exposes belly, "look but dont touch"
Me: Contemplates momentarily..."no deal"
Ah yes, the Deadly Belly Trap. Have been caught by it many times.
Allen Garvin it looks so innocent for one second, then all four of its claws AND full set of teeth are attacking your naked hand
@@noatiendoboludos it’s because cats belly’s are sensitive
I adopted my cat at the local shelter and he was scared out of him mind. He laid on my lap for the next 3 days after I brought him home. * 6 months later * Morty loves everyone. He is a happy, trustful cat, and lets me give him belly rubs!!!
So cute! I've been in the hospital for almost a month and really miss my cat.
I bottlefed my cat since before his eyes opened. (Found him after a dog killed his mother) He LOOOOOOVES to have his tummy rubbed! He purrs and drools so hard he sounds like a motor under water! LOL!!
NPC # 4791527A doubt that
@@9929kingfish Whats to doubt? Sounds like a normal properly socialized cat to me! If you handle them in the first few weeks (as this NPC clearly did..) they are properly tamed. Most people don't do this so end up with semi feral cats, that's why SOOOO many people think "cats are shit" or the ones that have a tamed cat think their cat is somehow special when its what they should all be like. Temperament of parents is even irrelevant, its all down to crucial interaction in there first few weeks.
Ive had many cats that behave just as the OP describes.Cared for dozens upon dozens, hand raising kittens and (trying) to socialize stray adults as best as i can.My sister also happens to be a vet and feline behavioral specialist.
My cat is so loving she is a rescue and was not treated well before.Shes my best friend and never let's me out if her sight.
I really love your info and am learning a lot.THANKYOU
I keep hearing cats don't like having their bellies rubbed....every cat I've ever had liked belly rubs. I guess I've just had special cats all my life.
Same here
They show their belly, sign of they love and trust.🐱❤️
My cat - "Kitty" - was originally a feral kitten . Twice, upon her having escaped outside for an adventure, I've heard her cry and rescued her from a couple of large feral toms cornering her her on the deck or in the yard. Both times, she'd race to me while they were frozen in concern at my presence, and roll back and forth happily at my feet with her tummy up. If I'm laying back in the recliner, she'll lay in my lap and actually enjoys rubbing her tummy as part of her 'full massage.' Kitty's uniqueness is part of her preciousness.
When my cat gets sleepy she loves belly rubs but when she's awake she gets really playful when you rub her belly
They’re just laying pointy side up 😸
Lol absolute truth!
Found 2 years ago a bewildered (?) cat, waiting under my car. Very skinny, biting and scratching. I took him with me, because he did not want to go away. From the first day, he followed me every where like a dog and... was rolling on the ground many times while walking. He could not handle hands, so I waited for touching him till he wanted it.
Now, after 2 years, I can touch him, he only make a bite movement to tell me that he needs to be free. It is an amazing intelligent cat and I love him.❤
Mine all roll over and love their bellies rubbed.
my cat waits for me outside my room every morning and rolls over when i walk out lol
My Sweetie did the same thing. She passed years ago but we still miss her. She would patiently wait in the bedroom doorway until we woke up then come in and greet us 🙂. What a gentle, loving soul.
Every time I watch one of these informative videos on cats, I always have mine doing exactly what is being explained. I currently have one of my Bengals lying on his back on my lap having his tummy tickled. This one also does a drop and flop on the stairs continuing with a slinky down each step whilst I am trying to climb them.
One day his affection is going to end in my death by tripping me up and letting me fall to my doom!
My cats love to get their bellies rubbed!! ☺☺
If you start when it's a small kitten, you can actually get them to BEG you to rub their bellies as adults. Just hold it in the crook of your arm, feet up, & gently rub it's belly while talking to it in a low voice. Do it often every day, . I know from personal experience that it works. As well as relaxing. 🐈
Also, rub its back feet as well. I guarantee the kitten will be sound asleep in seconds. 🐯
uhhhh your anecdote does not make something true...While there are definitely cats that like belly rubs, and yes, I have one that begs for them whom I had since she was barely 8 weeks old...it is not universal. Moreover, while some "conditioning" can be done, holding a cat on it's back like it's a human baby is absolutely a bad idea. Even if they don't freak out our resist, it does not allow the cat to feel "grounded" when held, and is extremely unlikely to go over well. Not to mention on the very realistic odds that your cat gets worked up about it even once, you're just an easy swat in the face from getting a claw to an eyeball... This is the kind of thing people do when they are clueless about how to hold cats, and take for granted that they got one that is docile by nature, in addition to being socialized young. It's like people who don't have cat trees, or are afraid to put litter boxes outside of a closet, it's a fundamental misunderstanding of how to treat cats.
@@amandaritari Cats, 'Ya gotta love them. I agree, caution should always be exercised. Eventually, with familiarity & time, the kitten may become amenable to it (or not ?) 😻
@@amandaritari Dude just because you've never known a cat that likes being held like that doesn't make it true. I've had my cat since she was a very young stray kitten, and she really likes being held on her back like a baby.
That's so true, if Lulu rolls over on her back and I pet her tummy she thinks it's play time and starts biting and grabbing, but it's playful she's not mad. If I pick her up and hold her like a baby she enjoys a good tummy rub. I wouldn't suggest trying to hold a cat in this manner if you have not done so before, I've raised her from a kitten, for an adult the reaction could be very unpleasant.
My cat is 9 today. He has lived with me for 4 yrs in Feb. I adopted him. When I come in he rolls and rolls over and over like a dog and waits for me to tell him how clever he is and clap for him...when he just wants my attention in the morning, he rolls over on his back and waits for me to stroke his belly, he is lovely. There is the occasional time when I take my life into my hands LOL, yes, but over all? he is beautiful inside and out. Pure white shorthair, lemonade eyes...Basile. He also only speaks French...eh...cats...ha ha ha Thank you for the informative clips.
My cat Salem does this and sleeps in his favorite chair and lot of the time he will lay on my chest he even lets me touch his nose with no problem thanks for listing Bruce
Like Garfield used to say. "Cats rule, dogs drool."
My cat used to force me to lay down and then stretch out on me and purr. Sounded like a diesel motor idling. He would then reach up and chew on my ears. Ouch!
Our cat drools when we fuss her.. Xx
@@hayleydryden3137 You'd better do a genetic test on her/him and find out what's up her family tree. Lol
@@wernerdanler2742 lol I've had a lot of cats over the years that do this.. It's always when they are really happy.. I have a cat at the min that drools on new fleece blankets and dressing gowns..
@@hayleydryden3137 but, but, Garfield never lies. I had a cat for 13 years. Lost him in 07. Still miss him. He never drooled but he purred as loud as a truck, especially when he could get me to lay down so he could lay on me. They can be very demanding. They want what they want.
@@wernerdanler2742 yes ur right very demanding x can I while I'm on here with cat lovers get u all to put your paws together and send love to my daughters cat that was cruelly poisoned over Xmas.. He's at the vets fighting for his life at the min x his name is buddy.. Xx
We have a rag dog mix and he rolls over whenever he sees anyone and LOVES belly rubs, he stretches out his legs and grooves on it from anyone. He is so chill.
Cats look like owls with ears.
I always ask my daughter in law ''How's your wingless owl?''
"Attack kitten with wings" is one of the chapter names of Wesley the Owl, a story about a woman adopting and studying a baby owl.
They actually do, I never thought about cats that way. Lol
My cat rolls over to get his belly rub specific if I'm petting his beck.
I have two cats. One does the usual "I'm rolling over because I trust you, but don't touch mah belly or I'll maul you," while the other loves having its belly pet as much as a dog. If you pet him for longer than 5 seconds, he rolls over so that you can pet his tummy. So cute!!
Both my cats love being pet on their bellies, I had no idea cats don't like being pet that way.
My kitten LOVES having her belly, chest, neck and chin rubbed but not her back. Weirdo 😅
I did try turning her off and back on again but the reboot didn’t work.
She’s just defective.
My cat, now 7 years old, & who I have had since a kitten, loves me to stroke him from chest down to tummy when he is relaxed. I think the way he likes it is slowly & in one direction. He will lie in my arms for a long time like this, completely relaxed & content.
I swapped ‘cat’ for wife, then this video really helped my relationship with the Mrs.
😂
My boy does this all the time bc he trust me n loves me n I him
Awesome!
+Sally Chamness You're a lucky girl to have such a sweet boy!
I agree with you 100% it is the biggest sign of trust for an animal to show you their belly. And it means they already love you if they don't know you yet and just a constant affirmation to their owners & others of how much they love you and trust you in their life. You have been acknowledged in a huge way when a cat or other small animals shows you their belly. They are very vulnerable when baring their bellies. They are showing us HUGE TRUST.
Could you imagine if humans thought like this?
WOW world peace in short order.
my cat does this when he sleeps and when i come home
Both of my cats love to get their belly rubbed🤔
same
Voatrex mine too
My cat will flop to the floor and roll around every time I see him. He loves his belly rubbed. Ever since he was a kitten.
My cat likes to rub his belly AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA SUCH A WEIRDO
