I feel the same way. Especially as he has taken no time to consider the victims. Ofc his primary job is to worry about himself not getting the worst punishments, but every defense attorney would throw in some iteration of, “and whatever happened that day, we are so sorry to what happened to the victims &their families.” Nope, he just says, “and I have no regrets.” I did feel bad for him many times, I would probably lose the ability to act totally rationally if I was up against 1k+ years of charges. Not understanding the law would contribute to that (especially in super nuanced parts like evidence submissions). And not being able to shower while trying to defend my LIFE would have me feeling low. That being said. He still did everything else to show us that he still doesn’t care about anyone but himself, that he only seeks to hurt everyone around him, and that his impact in society needs to be limited

Hoeg said that Brooks didn't seem prepared for his closing. I agree! Earlier in the day he told the judge he was NOT going to do his closing that day - as if he thought he had the choice! 😹😹😹 I think he thought he might have the night to prepare - though he still probably wouldn't have bothered, given that he is who he is. The fact that he said his conscience was clear and that he mixed it wasn't me with it was the car's fault, truly blew my mind!! It's as if he didn't know what his defence was! He didn't even know about the throttle until the last day of the trial!! So how was it a defence?!?!
