I just got my PA14, great video Byron.
Right on
Enjoyable video mate. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks mate!
Great videos, lookin at getting mine here soon!
Killer vid mate. Some awesome tips. I’m looking to upgrade to a PA 14 this year so this video will definitely be saved and used down the track. Thanks heaps.
Jag1 Fishing you’ll love it mate!
Love the battery box mast mounts!
The most practical video I’ve seen. Wish I had watched this when I first got my Hobie. I had to go through all the decisions you talk about. Interestingly, I came to many of the same conclusions. Anyway, great job and I’m subscribing to see more.
Thanks Roger! Mate really nice of you to say, glad you got something out of it!
I was able to put a YakAttack Blackpak behind my PA 14 livewell. If you try this you may have to put a pad under the Blackpak to lift it up so it can seat higher than the livewell.
Searched for a Hobie Pro Angler review Australia and your channel came up, just needed an Australian talking about the Kayak and stuff not our fast talking American brothers which sometimes can be like a different language !! God luv em, anyway really enjoy your Vids and thanks for all the effort you go too, keep up the good work and I hope to replicating most of your set up soon ... Cheers Mate :) New Sub and happy to be one......
Good vid, lot more than i need but bro what a boat cheers.
Good vid, something in there for everyone, I was a “spike” man for years ⚓️👍🏻. I’d never recommend using a Kayak scupper hole (weak link in Kayak structure) to deploy a spike. You will get away using that method for a time, but sooner or later, usually sooner, the scupper will develop a crack. That’s when those hand-held Kayak bilge pumps, shaped like an old school pushbike tyre pumps will come in handy 😉
Great tip about the net storage, thanks!
EM H heaps of little hacks around the kayak scene! I didn’t cover them all unfortunately
i do the same, rod holders on the right, anchor trolley on the left. I hold the rod with my left and reel with my right but when i land the fish, the rod is held right handed and netted lefty. it all works seamlessly for me. I can't wait to set up the new 2021 outback i just purchased.
Love the videos, you deserve way more clout
Thanks Tyler, but mate... what is Clout?
Lol, it is young people lingo for being popular
@@tylerwillix7364 officially feel old...
Very nice video. That's a dream setup you have. I'm keen to see how the hydrowave goes, if there's a review in the future I will definitely watch it and maybe get one.
Yeah mate, she is beautiful. I am a lucky man! 😂🤣😂. I’ll see how she goes and keep you up to date!
Well done Byron good job ,I just purchased Hobie angler 12 360 I will call you soon for help cheers,Floki the Carpenter
Great video Byron !! really like the tips regarding rigging particularly as I've just got a new PA12 360 cheers mate
Great job on the video! May i ask you where i might get some of the decals you have on the kayak? I was looking for the HWS decals but can't seem to find them. Thanks, Nick
Gr8 video Byron, the best I've seen for setting up. You make a lot of sense. Would be great if you could go over your carting. I've noticed you don't use the standard trax 2-30 cart . It is a pain to put on without flipping your yak. I use the bungee method but that has its issues. What do you do?
Cheers mate.
I’d also really like to know what cart he’s using and how well it works out.
Hey Byron - this is great stuff, thanks for making the vid. I've seen a few vids lately of guys rocking the bow cooler/fish holder. Any thoughts on that bit of kit? Cheers.
hey mate, not really I havent used them. the cooler bagI hadworks well enough for me.
Like the magnet system. can be used for many things
Pliers/scissors...
Great video Byron! Any tips or video on how to get your stickers/logos onto your kayak, and how to make them last?
C Carter easy! Soapy water in a spray bottle, spray the side of your kayak and cover the area the sticker will go. Then lay the sticker down. Go over with a credit card to remove bubbles.
Just be cautious not to use a soap with a degreaser in it. 😉
Good vid. Do you use the anchor much in water to deep to use the power pole ? The net is an interesting tip and I have to reconsider the side of sounder/rod holder.
Filip wouters Hi Filip, depending on the waterway yes. When I want to set up a long drift I find valuable.
Hi how did you set up your phone in the sail mast tube?
You mentioned your catch net....how do you rate the yak attack leverage catch net ? too short ?
What is that little thing you said about passive mullet?
Hey Byron did you fit a knob handle on your 360 yak for the drive? If so did Marty make it? Thx
its a hobie product. guys at HWS will sort you out
How did you mount your HDS Live 12” screen?Great video!!! Love it!!!
Hi Chris I use a large 1.5" ram ball on an arm that connects to a Hrail Mount!
Have u tried a 12 ? Is there a reason why u chose 14 pa over 12 ?
Hey man, yeah I’ve owned the 12, not in 360. I owned both at the same time and formed the opinion that the 14 was significantly better. I feel the 14 is the flagship, everything is designed for it. The 12 is like the ugly brother, that isn’t quite right... it’s shorter but you sit at a smilies height so it feels less stable. IMO if I wanted a 12 I’d go the outback (which is 12foot and has many feautres) before I will say lots of people love their 12 and love the kayak, I’d recommend getting an on the water demo. 🤙
Hey Byron, great vid mate. Just wondering what gimbal and wide angle lens you use for the iphone??
Cheers mate. Keep them coming, love the channel. 👍
Hey Dave, I use the DJI Osmo Mobile. Also used the Ollo Clip wide angle lens. I also have the Moment wide lense. If you want to use the lens on both the front and rear of the phone, go the Ollo Clip lens. If youre only going to use the primary camera on the back of the iphone, use the Moment lens (its large and is an awesome bit of glass BUT it doesnt fit the front of the iphone)...
Hope this helps Dave, let me know how you go!
ByronTeaHill legend, thanks for the info mate.
By the way really enjoyed the intro to tournaments vid, something ive always wanted to do but always been a bit daunted by it, hopefully ill upgrade from the wilderness systems to a PA towards the end of the year and ill give a couple of vic rounds a go next year. Thanks again man 👍👍
Dave Miff you an Aussie on the east coast?
ByronTeaHill yeah mate, an hr north of melbourne just off the hume 👍
