How is the long term reliability of the batteries and the car by itself ? No historical ownership datas yet .😮 Pls remember BYD is not well known outside Communist China. Still a long way to go to get full consumers confidence and recognition for now.ll

i was really keen on this car. researched the hell out of it then finally saw it at the showroom. The design is nice at first, but then u realise its just a tall narrow box with a fierce looking but low front. a normal amount of wheel arch pump would have given it such a better staunched look. i cannot fault the interior though. Top notch.
no indicator stalk, physical gear lever and parking sensors..... tesla has cheapened the car a lot and wants to make a fool out of the buyers saying it's innovative....

I'm going to wait for the Yuan Up. The trunk of the Seal is just too small. If it was a hatchback it would be far far superior. You couldn't transport a mini fridge in it as is
While I believe it’s a good car, I think byd needs to differentiate itself from the others by increasing its after sale value. Today there is zero after sales value from any EV cars. There is no value because of the cost of battery replacement…

Maybe a smaller BYD model should be your first EV, like the Dolphin (I am driving since 6 months and 15.000 km).

@@watataenjoyer The Dolphin has only 7 kW and my setup only gives about 3 kW but this is also enough for over night charging of about 120 km of daily use.
BYD like most chinese companies, they will sell at cost or even at a lost when they launch the first few models. As a consumer, this few years are the best time to sapu the good deal. Soon they will increase price to make profit

There's 11kw home charging option in China (most residential places don't have the capacity to go beyond 20kw). But that doesn't matter, cos you won't charge after it dropped down to 0%. Home charging is so convenient, you can plug in and the car everyday if you want.
Oh at the 15:30 mark of the video, you mentioned about forgetting the Teslas, cause as a potential buyer considering both who has yet to test the Seal, I just wonder what from your personal opinion why not the Teslas. Thanks @@PistonMalaysia

Looks like you do not understand what I asked of the reviewer. Of course he is entitled to his opinion. IF u read carefully what i am asking, is for specific reasons why wouldnt he consider the Tesla in comparison to the Seal.
Resale on all ev cars in Europe are falling through the floor on resale. Value depreciation is frightening, any ev car loses about 30% within in 18 months 🫣.Even the car dealership won’t buy back or do a trade in for a newer model after 24 months. I know because I spent €60,000 euros purchasing a ev and after 2 years with 30,000kms it’s value at present is €40,000 euros 🥸..

M3 slightly bigger if not mistaken. Charges faster but does not have toys to play with. But more efficient

Besides it good pricing, Dolphin is not for everyone. The Seal is just right.
Im driving a smart #1. 22kw charging no problem using it as my only car. I drive 100km go work it's totally fine

(My opinion -Cooler in the Seal).
The Seal roof has been treated with silver coating so is nowhere near as terrible as Tesla and has better heat rejection than a conventional roof.
