Great review. Usual Seiko mixed bag of quality. Overall design looks like a a lucky dip from the ‘boys bumper book of watch ideas’. I like the dial though.
Watched this twice now and be fair it’s growing on me, I actually like the 481 version (champagne dial), nice colourway I’d like to see on more of their watches
Wow, Judging from the thumbnail I thought I’d really like it, but… Not so much. The dial is cool, but the bezel shape isn’t for me, which is strange as I do like the Tag heuer. Anyway, good review keep up the good work.
@ thanksgiving definitely plan on doing so as well as checking out the latest Marine Master 300 as well. I have a Seiko Lux dealer near where I work and they carry everything even Grand Seiko as well.
With that amount of play, of course the bezel lines up... I really think this amount of back play is unacceptable when asking over a grand for a watch in 2024. I really like this watch, if I can get a good deal on one, I might pick one up. Great video, thanks for showcasing this new model.
Hi Barry, you're right regarding Seiko case design, they really know what they're doing. Overall, it seems to be a good watch but with flaws in the details (e.g. the bezel and bracelet). It's encouraging to see progress on the movement front though. LG Bob 🍻
The case looks like it came out of a jelly mould and I can see the spring bars thru the gap between bracelet and lugs. Seiko need to ask San Martin if they would mind building their watches for them
Solid overview as always dude and yeah lots of aquaracer vibes and good to see a vertical date window, the bracelet looks it doesn't match the watch very well though but could be my eyes also 😅😎👍
I'm curious. If a Polygonal bezel doesn't line up, how could you realign it? Also, Tag Heuer Aquaracer seem to suffer from misaligned bezel for some reason
@@ClickSpringReview Well Seiko produces a trillion models and the higher the prices get, the less of them I like. Just to be honest, I could make a full collection out of Seiko 5 Sports, cause there you have divers, field watches, dress watches, watches you can easily mod etc. etc.. I also like many of the 60's series but I absolutely hate at least 95% of the prospex and presage collection - while I absolutely love the remaining 5%
Overall not a bad looking Seiko. Seiko bracelets are always a let down though. The stock bracelet on my Samurai Shu iro was almost insulting for the price of the watch. Luckily there are some great aftermarket options.
I’ve always love the prospex line but Im holding back because of the really bad reputation of the 6R movements has. If time proves that the new 6R55 movement are better that previous 6R35, I’d buy one immediately.
@@ClickSpringReviewBut nobody wants pin and collar or old school clasps. They can't read the market. Nothing lasts forever, not even reputation. All the brands are getting better every two years or so, but not Seiko.
So thanks to Seiko you can now buy essentially a new TAG Heuer styled watch without having that GOD AWFUL unbalanced, chubby cock looking hour hand that’s on the new TAG Aquaracer 😂 joking aside, not sure how I feel about this as nothing about it really has any Seiko DNA - apart from the shite clasp - looks like something San Martin would make.
I like that you think you can talk on behalf of the whole watch community. 🙄🙄🙄🤨🤨🤨🤨. The new Tag collection is deffo raking a turn in the right direction and in a couple of years I think they will be fighting with the best of them. Imo. Obviously.
I'm going to go broke watching all these videos on new sacred divers I've already spent over $10,000 this year just on psycho divers what is wrong with me
Yes mainly these shiny bezels, prefer them satin/matte. Not a fan of the octagonal shape either. I always scotch brite bracelets 😊 @@ClickSpringReview
Being a watchmaker I have I'm used to polishing and brushing here is a short video of a gold Rolex I did some time back ua-cam.com/video/reoYMwzOYjE/v-deo.htmlsi=Uh6-kQqAL5lRHNtB
This is like a breath of fresh air from Seiko all their other new models are just copies of their other stuff, most people never change but come round in the end after some time
I like to watch your videos, but after watching a bunch of them in a row, your willing to throw "now" word (not as a pointer to the current time point, but as a useless connector between the sentences) is just driving me crazy. I didn't count, but I think you do that at least once a minute, maybe even every 30 seconds. Once you hear it, it's impossible to unhear. Please work on it.
Thanks for the feed back but I don't script my videos , They are one live take and believe it or not its very hard to do, I'll see what I can do but I have around 10 videos already waiting for release

I'm really loving the 430 date because I like my hour markers
Exactly
Same here. Yes, it is a new look but it absolutely makes sense.
It's perrfect. Ever since i saw this on a Cartier Pasha,i'm in awe,somehow. 👍👍👍👍👍
Our little circle instantly agreed that this looked like the Aquaracer. We all used to own one, wondering how this will bring back the nostalgia lol
I honestly thing its their best new release for a long time
that was my first impression as well
Wow. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 def a want.
Date at 4:30 is a banger.
I'm with you on that one
Gorgeous watch. Definitely aqua racer vibes.
Which isn't a bad I think
Great review. Usual Seiko mixed bag of quality. Overall design looks like a a lucky dip from the ‘boys bumper book of watch ideas’. I like the dial though.
I like it overall just wish they would give it a better clasp
Its a fun release from Seiko. I think they have done the geometry better than Tag, with the Aquaracer.
Be interesting to see if they stick with it
WOW ! ....I actaully hate it !
🤣🤣🤣
Same here. Somehow I like that Seiko finally made a new design but I wouldn't even wear it if Seiko paid me for it. ....okay I would -.-
Am I the only one who think this looks like a Tag Heuer Aquaracer?
Yeah does a bit which isn't a bad thing

Great overview, thanks! The case silhouette reminds me a bit of the "Shogun"(Which I love).
Cheers Sir
Love the color I would choose blue as well. Would definitely like to see in person to get a better idea on how I feel about this new design.
I think its great and well worth checking out

Another Delusional san martin bot. They just need to go back to their own echo chamber and leave everyone else alone

If I owned one chap I'd be shopping for a new bracelet and clasp straight away 👍🏻
My first thoughts when I seen images of the watch was that someone had asked midjourney to design a seiko. There's something off about the design.
I really like this new direction from them
I'm curious. If a Polygonal bezel doesn't line up, how could you realign it? Also, Tag Heuer Aquaracer seem to suffer from misaligned bezel for some reason
It must still run on a round track some bezels like Sinn have adjustment under the bezel
Would you pick the Squale 1521 over the Seiko? It's the same pricetag innit?
I'd take the Squale 2001 Heritage Le every day of the week over this the 1521is a tough one
A lovely piece .
I agree but it has divided opinion
What a beautiful polygonal bezel and that sharp case.
It would be such a shame if anything happened to it? Like not lining up
Thankfully this one lines up
This was a good experiment Seiko. Never do it again
I think its one of their best and nice to see them doing something different than the same old models
@@ClickSpringReview No it isn't...lol. Only reason Seiko did it, is because they can.

I’d rather opt for TAG aqua racer, better alround watch, seems there’s a lot of design cues from the TAG.
£1000 for a automatic Aqua Racer are you sure Sir

Pick up an SLA Prospex with the 8L movement.
@@2536528I hope one day they upgrade the 8L movements date work
They seriously need to go smaller or introduce a smaller version! On your 7+" wrist, it'd still look better if it was smaller
39mm would also be sweet
We just can’t get everything we want from a Seiko watch!😳😲🙄
Seiko make more models than any other brand, there is something for everyone I find
Seiko, please , please, PLEASE get rid of those awful, disgusting, ugly fold over clasps ffs!
The clasp just need a few more holes in it and to be fair its something I would drill out myself
And the pin and collar system, sizing Seiko bracelets is a nightmare.

from an aesthetic point of view, can't look at watches with date at 4.30 (especially, Zenith chronos kill me).

What the Cubitus should have been 😂
The Cubitus is a copy of the Herbelin Men's Cap Camarat Square 🤫😉

At the 3rd of the price, not bad I'd say
Date date window is shameful.

Polygon/Octagon? Really? Why not square... like the company???
Some say its hip to be square
The round porthole windows are completely hideous. Am I the only one?!?
