Not as inexpensive as his solution as it’s $260+ but doesn’t interfere with interior space or doors is the Retrac High Rise folding step that mounts on the ICC bumper. Are you aware of that? I have only seen it online.

But the Chili might be the equivalent of arming her backend with the power of a nuclear bomb. I'd use some caution, not like Rusty can just run outside and do his business.
After watching your post about the "new" truck, I have two questions about trailer life. How many miles do you have on your trailer, and what is the expected life of a trailer? Also after hearing you sing, I know why your a truck driver. (Just kidding, don't block me)

My trailer is a 2016 Hyundai. Many shippers won’t load a trailer older than 10 years. So I figure I only have two more years on this one.
