I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Shield on for a Stihl, shield off for everything else. Here is something everyone should know. The direction that trimmer heads spin is counter-clockwise for a reason. It is because most folks are righties, and tend to sweep towards the right. The counter-clockwise rotation launches debris away from the operator. If you're getting hit in the shins with rocks, you're sweeping left, which as a lefty is my natural preference and I've had to train myself not to do. *Unless!!* I'm pointed towards a window or a vehicle! Then I'd rather get hit. Great video and a great trimmer!

We bought our first house and a SRM-225 five years ago. I been chopping down weeds on an overgrown acre, the Echo trimmer has done well with very little care. The difference between an Echo weed snipper and those throw away MTD (More Trouble Daily) models cannot be described. I spent money on other tools such as a 20V hedge trimmer, wood chipper, chainsaw and reciprocating saw with several pruning blades to get the work done.. Where I live all the mowing trailers carry Stihl by brand loyalty and a lack of other dealers. After Five Years of hard use, the ECHO still runs like new, I use Maxi-Edge .105 line in the 400 speed feed head.

Hey JB. Great video. I fully agree with you about Echo tools. I've been using Echo for 30+ years. I've never had an Echo tool fail. My SRM225 is 10 years old. I had to clean the spark arrestor screen for the first time a few days ago. A couple of fuel filters and air filters and the spark plug once and that's it. It runs and functions just as good now as it did when new. I use non ethanol and Red Armour. I work on small equipment some mainly for friends. I'm surprised to see so many on this thread dissing Stihl equipment. In my opinion it's top of the line. Most of the yard crews around here (North Texas) use Stihl. I've never seen a battery operated tool being used by a yard crew. One thing I don't remember you mentioning in your video was the balance of the SRM225. If you grab the shaft about 1/2 between the trigger and the front handle - the unit is almost perfectly balanced. You do an outstanding job with your videos. Very high quality. You know what you're talking about. Keep up the good work.

Still rolling with an early/mid-2000s(?) SRM-210 straight shaft, which someone set out TWO for garbage. I parted out some pieces to the SRM-210 that started, tuned up, replaced the sparkalator, primer bulb, and fuel filter, and have been running it for a couple years, now. Just picked up a PAS-225 today, and am looking forward to running both of these machines.

Unfortunately, I was one of those unlucky people that got a dud from my dealer/factory and from what I read you have a 50/50 chance of this happening. The SRM-225 is known to have issues like this it doesn't burn off all the oil when running even if it is running at full throttle and then it causes oil to shoot through the muffler on the back leaving an oily mess and causing the spark arrestor to clog. Mine was tuned so rich from the factory that it fouled out a spark plug in 2 months of use it was totally black because it was running so rich. I was told from my dealer the issues are coming from the EPA and how they can't do certain things on the trimmer and tune them a certain way. Unfortunately, I will be selling mine. I have an older SRM-210 trimmer and a Robin BH2500 trimmer. These were before the EPA messed everything up. I was highly disappointed in this trimmer and I love echo products but the government has messed up a lot of the newer equipment.

I bought my first Echo product in 1990. An SRM 223 line trimmer. I’ve changed spark plugs. I’ve replaced the fuel lines once. The fuel and vent filters get replaced just because they come in the kit. Really just the recommended maintenance.
No primer bulb on this model, so the first startup of the season is getting harder. I’ve run 50:1 with pump gasoline (10-15% ethanol). It does the job, still, after 34 years as of today.
I use the brush blade shield with the line trimmer head.

Yes sir I’ve had my Echo SRM 225 since 2014 and each year I’ll buy a Echo YOUCAN tune-up kit to keep it at tip top running condition…you can’t go wrong with an Echo I’ve also turned on a couple of my neighbors unto the 225 wished all lawn equipment were built like Echo.

The 50:1 non-ethanol gas to oil ratio is so very important. There is a plate covering the muffler and if you remove that plate, on the back side of it you're going to see a screen. That's called a spark arrestor screen and if that gets clogged with oil, your SRM 225 won't be able to go to full throttle because it's being suffocated. Replace or clean that spark arrestor screen and everything will be beautiful again.
Edit: my SRM 225 is 5 or 6 years old and it still starts on the second pull. First pull on choke and second pull on run.
Shield off. I know my weed eater well enough that I don't have to worry about throwing debris at myself. I also know how much line I can give myself before I start adversely affecting the engine.

Echo knows this is an issue with the oil shooting out, but refuses to acknowledge or fix the issue. My dealer told me they get tons of trimmers coming into the shop of the 225 and other models and this is due to the EPA and changes that had to be made and they tend to tune them to rich from the factory. I had a plug literally foul out in 2 months of owning one, which is crazy because the carb was tuned so rich from the factory.
You don't have a "weed eater", that's a Trademark name- brand for another TRIMMER. 🤡
I just retired a PB770T blower from 2014. 9 Years of doing 70 Lawns per week. Yes I had to replace the carb once, throttle cable, and a few Starters, but that blower was the most reliable piece of equipment I've every owned. I am a Echo user though and through. They are easy to work on and parts are readily available.

When I was a kid I had a Viza Viper 2 stroke with a ROUGH 2 stroke. It was a little nerve-racking to be 25 miles away from home and wondering if the darn thing would FINALLY idle enough to go home. It would start, die, start, die, and at red lights if you did not hold the throttle it would die, even warmed up. Starting also took about 2 minutes before it would even fire. I love 2 strokes regardless though and having used Echos at work I am confident in purchasing one for my own residence, especially since they are going to be easier to startup

long time watcher, first time commenter. I really value your opinion on most garage related topics. As an owner of a GT-225 I can wholeheartedly agree that the Echo line of products is very solid! The climate here in Newfoundland is all over the place and the trimmer is always a non issue for me. She always starts in a pull or two and is very low maintenance. ps, just today I tackled a rotted fuel line on my pressure washer after watching a bunch of you videos. Keep up the great work and thanks for making these small engine repairs a little less daunting for us average joes!

I bought my first Echo trimmer about 3 years ago when my (alumni) Honda 4 stroke trimmer became too heavy for my old back and arms to comfortably use. I have to give credit where due; these Echo trimmers have a wonderful solid feel, but are light weight for the power and performance they deliver. Mine has been 100% reliable and inexpensive to maintain.... 5 year residential warranty on these rigs too!

I've had my Echo SRM-2100 for 20 years and still starts within 2-3 pulls never fails I've abused it too I've never grease the head/shaft! I've changed the spark plug a couple times cleaned the air filter twice. What a little beast I'm going to give it to a neighbor and looking to buy another Echo to abuse haha. I'm not sure if the SRM 225 will suit my needs though. I'm wanting something I can put a cutting blade on (got a lot of black berries to cut down) and undecided which model to choose...any suggestions? I really like that Speed feed head looks so much easier to load than my old timer I hated winding new line on it. Great video !!!

I bought an Echo PAS 225 over 10 yrs ago. I inherited another PAS 225, about one yr newer. I also bought a bigger power head. All about the same age. All still run perfectly, as does my Echo chainsaw. Ethanol-free fuel and Echo premix oil, and I've never had a problem getting them to start. Recently, my wife started doing some yard work with one of the PAS systems. She's had no problems starting it or using it.

I got one of these. Probably one of the most reliable string strimmers I have ever had. I have literally cut down fields with this thing and it just begs for more. Extremely easy to start too. Those speed feed heads are the best thing since chocolate milk. Worth every penny. I had to add the head to it, mine is a 2013 model.

Been using mine all summer, love the lightweight, speed feed, and large gas tank, I can go for hours now. Still have my echo curved shaft trimmer that I’ve been using for about ten years, still runs great, but the SRM 225 is an incredible upgrade in all categories, it’s my go to.

I just bought my first echo, came from a Troy BILT split shaft and it was junk. Excited for the new echo. However, I noticed it hasn’t come with any engine oil and I haven’t found it anywhere whether it comes prefilled or what. I would imagine that it doesn’t require it because it didn’t come with any, just wanted clarification and you seem like you would know the answer to that. Thank you for your time.
Hey arty! This trimmer is a 50:1 gas oil mix. Mix the oil in with 1 gallon of gas and fill her up! 👍 also consult your owners manual for more info!
@@GarageGear I understand the fuel is mix, lol. I’m talking about engine oil. Is that not required with this string trimmer, did they already put that in from factory. Like a mower or your car, you have your fuel tank and your engine oil. Lol. I know it takes mixed fuel. Concerned about making sure it has oil.
@@partyarty597 hey arty, this is a two cycle engine. There’s no oil lubricating the engine like a 4 cycle engine. The only oil used is in the 50:1 gas oil mix. This lubricates the engine components. There is no oil already inside or anything.

Best 2 cycle oil... VP, Red Armor, or Amsoil Saber. Never straight gas it, it'll scratch/score & ruin the piston to the point it won't run well if at all.
I have both echo and stihl commercial model and love both but my stihl requires less maintenance. The echo is easier to work on but the quality of the carburetor just doesnt match the stihl's. I also have to tune the high speed mixture screw here and there and never do on the stihls😊

I have been a Stihl trimmer guy since Clinton was getting , um, serviced, in the White House. I bought the Echo SRM225 because my wife and son hate the heft of Stihl trimmers. I love the easy start of the 225; however, it has the most hand vibration than even the $75 Ryobi 30cc trimmer I bought 15 years ago. I have never felt as much vibration on any gas powered tool - ever. It makes my son’s hand and my wife’s hand so numb after 10-15 min they flat out refuse to run it. I wish I would have bought a Stihl because they run without vibration.

Bought my first Echo SRM-225 trimmer a year ago after using a Husqvarna 128LD trimmer and I have had zero issues whatsoever. Props to Echo making an amazing trimmer. All of my equipment is all Echo after upgrading to the SRM-225. Honda mower, Troy Bilt mower and Echo are my go-to lawn equipment. I am more of a shieldless user for my trimmer. Makes it easier to get into hard to reach places on all of my yards. (All of my equipment are gas powered. May try out battery powered stuff in the near future)

Been selling Echo products @HD for two decades. Its always been my go to brand when people complain about the other brands out there . Plenty of power with higher revving engine , light weight, easy start & industry best consumer warranty. Speedy feed head a big plus too. 👍👍

I’m getting older so I started getting more cordless implements. Now I’m going back to the old tried and true gas equipment. Went to Home Depot yesterday and other than push mowers they had no NO gas powered yard tools on display.

@@GarageGear Thanks to AL GORE inventing the internet I have developed an understanding of why I developed a hatred for anything in the realm of 2stroke tools. Once a piece of gear failed the START TEST I would shelf it, throw it out or give it away. Repairs for the simplest problems meant a trip to the shop. Now there is a plethora of machine gurus sharing valuable knowledge to anyone willing to pay even the slightest bit of attention.

I pride myself in being a good mechanic with a knack for being able to diagnose and make appropriate repairs. Battery powered gear has its place, but just not the versatility to accomplish what needs to be done. Over 25 years ago I cleared close to 800 jack pine trees on our property using two 14” McCullough chain saws. Not going to happen with battery power. Good enough for power tools like drills and such.
Now I am starting to get one of my grandsons helping with some of my projects. I just had him work on installing a fuel shut off valve and change the filter on my Cub Cadet LGT 1050. Easy job for you and me but not so easy when you have never used even a pair of pliers. More to come however winter is getting in the way.

I HAVE 3 TRIMMERS 2 WITH SHIELDS 1 WITHOUT GET HIT ABOUT THE SAME WITH OR WITHOUT LOL BUT THESE ARE GREAT TRIMMERS SRM 225 ALSO A 2620T AND A 2320T THEY ALL START EXACTLY THE SAME USE THE ECHO RED ARMOR OIL NEVER HAVE ANY ISSUES STARTUP IS EXACTLY HOW U SHOWED FOOR YEARS AND I HAVE A BACKPACK BLOWER 960T I THINK BUT ALL ARE NICE I LIKE HOW LIGHT THE 225 IS FOR SURE CAN'T GO WRONG WITH AN ECHO I WILL BE GETTING A BATTERY POWERED HANDHELD BLOWER ALSO ECHO NEEDS TO MAKE A COMMERCIAL ZERO TURN I'D BUY IT LBVS 😂😂

I have had Troybilt,Craftsman and weedeater brand trimmers and nothing conpares to Echo. Recently my 5 year old Craftsman 4 Cycle bought the farm and i was going to put the effort into rebuilding but craftsman is not what it used to be . So i went to my local Echo dealer and Picked up a PAS225 and its amazing after starting it up and runing it you can tell is quality. I run echo premix and i use it around the house i keep guard on because she spits like a hurricane . Go Team Echo!!

I bought the PAS-225SB. I love the fact that I can switch out the heads. It was a bit more, but I think that it's worth it. I have been needing a non electric hedge trimmer for years, with this trimmer I can have that too.

Completely agree! I bought my echo SRM 225 about 7 years ago. Have used it hundreds of times and it starts and runs the exact same way every time! Runs exactly the way it has since day one. Only 2 stroke trimer I have never had to fight. And the speed feed head is a masterpiece! I also bought an echo blower around the same time and it's also running amazing. Never even had a hiccup with either machine. Very happy!

I completely agree with you about the SRM-225... I am sorry I got rid of mine in preference for a crappy Stihl that always gives me trouble. I personally use the guard on all my trimmers.
I think the Echo SRM-225, the Makita 4 1/2" angle grinder, the Lincoln 225 arc welder are among the best things you can buy at Home Depot.

I have a STHIL chainsaw that still works pretty good from 5 years ago & an amazing blower that’s about 12 to 15 years old!
The chainsaw is a good home owner & the blower is commercial.
There commercial products 10 years ago cost about the same as there new blowers now!
When I did some landscaping for a college.
They had a very nice STHIL weed-eater from about 15 years ago.
They really really went down hill about 4 years ago!
A late comment here. Just found your channel. I got an Echo SRM-224(5?) bushwhacker, 28 years ago. Still starts on the 2nd pull. I have had to replace the rings-but other than that, nothing major. Great weedeater

I bought an older ECHO GT-200 with the curved shaft and it's the best trimmer I've ever owned! This next summer it will be going on its 15th season and I never had even 1 issue with it. Starts up perfectly every time..... they just last forever!

It doesn't feel strong enough or feel like it does enough work for me. So i prefer the 2620T or bigger. I leave this one put up so the my 10 year old can learn with it. It is good for not destroying grass if you make a mistake because a bug flew up your nose while trimming. but thats about it, i dont even use it for edging.

In the last, let’s say 12 years, I have had two Echo string trimmers. I do not have a shed, so they stay chained up under my raised house open to the elements. I do absolutely no maintenance on these things. They sit under my house all year long until grass cutting season gets here, then they start right up. Amazing quality.

Hey Jb I have an echo srm have you heard of echos leaking oil everywhere I had 5 machines warrantied to me and still the same issue I use red armor fuel by echo and I called echo directly had no answer they weren’t even sure they just said to rev the motor and oil leak would get worse and keep spraying
Hey Michael I heard tipping them upside down at full throttle can burn the oil out. Never tried it though. Could make for a good video 🤔
Mine is a hot pile of junk. It's not even 1 full year old and won't run. I thought it was a carb issue from sitting over the winter. Cleaned it. Same issues. Idle fine, bogs down like crazy on throttle. So I check arrestor, its clean. I replace carb. Same issue. I'm ready to toss it.

I bought one srm 225 and had to return it due to oil coming out of the exhaust, Got a second one and have had the same issue, however if I clean it up a little after each cut it runs just fine so still a good trimmer, just hate that oil leaks out.

This is the best homeowner trimmer available and the best overall trimmer I've ever had. Terrific at edging too. Perfect for using on a longer job or when I need a bit more muscle than my battery trimmers can provide

I bought my house in 2005, and I immediately went out and bought an ECHO SRM-230 trimmer, and an ECHO PB-413H blower. (I just used both of them this morning.)
Both machines start exactly the same as the day I brought them home. Just like in the vid, it's choke, hit the primer bulb 3 times, and it's "Pull, Pull, Choked Ignition, Choke off, Start.".
That goes for the trimmer and the blower. Same thing every time for 17 years. (Those reviews you showed in that still shot with less than 5-star ratings must be from full-blown retards.)
I have replaced the fuel/vent lines & primer bulbs on each with the ECHO kits you showed just once. (2013-14 I think). I have spare kits hanging in the work shop too.
Another fun fact: I am still working off of the same jumbo roll of ECHO trim line I bought that day with the trimmer in 2005!! No joke!

I use a battery ego product trimmer and leaf blower but my mower is a yard machines gas mower. I have a small front yard and back yard and my battery lasts me 5 uses or more with the trimmer and the blower lasts quite long as well. For me it works. I do appreciate the gas trimmers as well though.

I just bought one to replace an electric unit. This little guy has excellent power, good throttle response, is lightweight, quite, and inexpensive. Its got enough juice to slice through stubborn overgrown grass when edging. Do put glasses on when using it....she will ROCKET debri at you if you are going hard.

Favorite trimmer I have ever owned. Tried to go cheap for years, messing around with TroyBilt and Ryobi. Do NOT waste your time. Just go ahead and buy the Echo once and be done. They Ryobi and Troybilt are made to die. The Echo Speed Feed head is also a game changer. Absolutely zero complaints about this unit!

This is my first gas trimmer, i bought from pawn shop for $50 CAD, said it wasn’t running and needs service but tested my luck, upon check up i noticed the fuel cables is switched with the return line, which causes it not to idle. Now runs like new! So much power

A lawn mower repair guy told me to buy an Echo SRM-225 for a string trimmer. I did and have been using it for 10 years now. Starts and runs great. I leave the skinny shield on.

Great review JB! Echo makes great products. Most landscaping companies in my neighborhood use Echo or Stihl products. I had to give up my Echo due to severe shoulder problems and got the Ego battery trimmer. Works great, a bit heavy but the shoulder strap helps. We finally got some needed rain. Have a great weekend! Hey rf! No issues to report. Mine shut off when the fuel tank was low. Wasn’t getting enough gas in the line. Filled it back up and all good! Thanks for watching

This same echo trimmer is in my arsenal as well. I also have a dewalt battery powered one. I like the echo trimmer for its weight distribution. To me they both perform about the same. The dewalt trimmer barely uses any battery power and is much quieter. But time and time again, I find myself reaching for my echo!

Im surprised you didnt go with the 2620. I got a srm2620 a couple months ago and i just ordered a Pe2620s edger this week. Im pretty made at myself for putting up with a troybilt for all these years

Great content as always, JB! Any thoughts on the PAS-225VP version? Just bought a house so grabbing all the tools I need on a quest to make my yard look like yours 😉. Debating if it would be convenient to have and maintain a single engine and swapping attachments as needed, or if it would just be an additional point of potential failure?
BOSCO!!!! What’s happening my man? Congrats on the new house! North Carolina right? If you’re looking to go the single engine route echo makes one of the best systems for that. I’ve never heard any complaints about the pas225vp from anyone. I would not recommend any other brand for this. I’ve seen so many broken driveshaft connections on brands like craftsman, and RYOBI. After a few years they are toast! A solid driveshaft on any machine is a safe play but if your looking to save some money and space on your tools the echo pas225vp is a great way to go. I was going to buy a stihl 56rc for my small lawn business but my uncle gave me his echo srm 225 for free just asked me to maintain his yard 😂 I don’t mind free weed eater and he’s my neighbor
Did a tune up and cleaned the spark arrestor and it runs really smooth starts up in 1-3 pulls

Sometimes you just need to get a new head for it and it’s about $25. It’s not worth fixing usually, just better to buy a new one. I got about 10 years out of mine.

Hey tuner I mix my own now. Echo red armor with ethanol free fuel. Runs great! 👍 I think you can order a couple of cans of ethanol free fuel online might cost a little more though!
We have several Echo string trimmers. SRM 266 & 2620 They have Speed Feed 400 heads, best heads ever. I use Echo 0.95 round string. We use these a lot in our township cemeteries.

They're legendary even the older more powerful echo trimmers are overkill but if you are speed demon it is like a lightsaber in your hands.. so be careful without guards.. they are the best and all you need, I trim fast and I am very efficient so I like to be light as possible. I workout 5-6 times a week, I only want to do heavy lifting at the gym not at work and these are the real only trimmers you ever need..
Trimmer line and good technique and pattern is all you need to be a great timmer

Good job on the video. I like it. I'm 5,6 tall. I use a black and decker trimmer and edger combo eith a curved shaft and short from home depot. It kills my back. Will this trimmer work for me and my back ? How tall are u ?

I prefer the 2620 more power less issues. I utilize the PAS-2620 straight shaft edge trimmer and pro torque string trimmer attachment with Speed Feed 450 head shield off. Their bed redefiner is awesome too if you've haven't had a chance to use it! I prefer the Echo Black Diamond line. I also run the Echo PB-9010T.

@@MrAlternation well dewalt did have one of their battery mowers burst into flames at an equipment expo recently. The only way they could put it out was to bring in an excavator and bury it.

On the line .095 , do you soak it in water and let dry so it last longer ? Is that true? Is that trimmer a SRM 225 or SRM 225 I ?
Hey los! It’s a regular 225! Soaking the line in water only helps loosen it if it becomes stiff over time. Great trick. Not necessary with newer line. 👍
Shield off...but I wear Ballistic Safety 'wrap-around' eyeglasses (Wiley X). When I run
my SRM 3020T (.130 line) I wear an Arborist helmet with polycarbonate shield
over my safety glasses.

Use mine for edging and chainsaw. Only complaint is it takes a minute or so to warmup before running wide open!

@@GarageGear Hi GG, I am pleased to hear from you as this is not a new video. I had borrowed my friend's SRM-280 trimmer. It is powerful, but is a little heavy. Echo reduced the displacement from 28cc's to 25cc's, but have changed the compression and timing to get better horse power from the lesser displacement engine. I had not considered the lesser 21cc SRM-225 until I saw your video (I like power). My search took me to another video about the Echo 2320T which is an upgraded 225. It makes sense that a little more gear reduction 2:1, instead of 1.69:1, would make up for the lesser powerful engine. That's where my question comes from. Going up in money and weight takes me to the SRM-226 which is a 25cc engine. They make a 226T model, but again they're more expensive. One of the upgrades that I do like, is the chrome plated cylinder and piston of the more expensive, upgraded models like the 2320T and others (chrome plating is always good for longevity). Oh yeah, I prefer the guard on as without it many pieces of debris and trimmer line pelt my lower legs and put many fragments into the air. So, blue jeans, boots, safety glasses, and a full face shield is what I wear when using a trimmer without a guard. Cheers! R, Steve

Don’t ever buy a cheap pos trimmer. Nothing wrong with their engines. It’s more the quality, balance that is unmatchable with a professional grade trimmer. You’ll immediately notice the difference in quality and comfort when you go from a cheap 60 dollar ryobi trimmer built today to a 200 dollar srm 225 trimmer. Unless you have a ryobi from the 90s now those were good cheap trimmer but they obviously don’t build stuff like that anymore Today so the best route to go is echo. Stihl is nice but they are really expensive and personally not as good as the echo comfort wise. Husqvarna is great, but won’t last as long as echo. And I’m not being biased because I do own a couple husqvarna trimmers and I will say husqvarna trimmers are absolutely the most comfortable trimmers to handle but echo will out live them by 20 years easily

I'm in the process of looking for a weed eater I have a battery operated one from Craftsman for a year now this thing is a piece of junk will not send out the extra string play it doesn't seem to have a power like a gas one

Running an Echo SRM 2100 that I bought in 1995 and it still runs like a champ… run non ethanol and mix my own oil, removed the guard and added a gorilla grip

The plastic bumper cap on my 10 year old SRM225 won’t click into place. Has the plastic shrunk & I need a replacement cap or am I doing something wrong?
Usually after ten years or so they have taken a beating and need to be replaced. You can usually grab a new speed feed head for about $30

Edit: JB, I finally got a SRM225 straight shaft. I Actually got it 3 months ago and it's worth every bit of money I paid for it!! I got it from Home Depot and also got their EWP Plan. So needless to say it's got a pretty lengthy warranty. I gotta say it is by far the best trimmer I've owned. It pops off on the second pull and starts on the first pull. Best decision I've made in awhile.

@@GarageGear Update so I finally just bought the SRM ON March 6th 2024🎉🎉🎉. JB, I'm super happy like a little kid on Christmas!!! I've been wanting one for a very long time. The warranty alone is worth it. Plus I also got the protection plan from the store. I always run non ethanol in all my equipment but for the SRM I got the Echo 50:1 canned fuel. I'm just gonna run that in it at all times. I got the gallon can of it so it should last awhile. I can't wait for Spring😂😂. Now my next Echo will be a backpack blower!! What's your thoughts on the best Echo blower?? That's for the awesome reviews.

I love Echo, reliable and easy to work on when necessary, which BTY, isn’t very often. I have two GT-225’s but I prefer the curved shaft, works well for me, comfortable to handle. I use it with the shield off, of course with the best eye protection! They’re easy to start, great balance, and with the proper maintenance, they last forever.

I have the PAS 225 echo string trimmer and I was wondering where the grease fittings It's a split trimmer so I can put different attachments on it.
There should be grease fittings on each end of every attachment! Especially the string trimmer head!
I heard they are lifetime grease. You don't need to add,clean or care, you just buy a new one. LOL

Good question! 87 octane is different! If You see a gas pump labeled ethanol free that’s the one you need! 87 octane more than likely contains ethanol!
