“5AM Club” is the best-seller by Robin Sharma book that is included in every “must read” book list, particularly in the genre of self-help and self-development.
In this video, I discuss main takeaway lessons I learned from the book “5AM Club” by Robin Sharma. Firstly that waking up early, at 5 am to be precise, is essential for elevating the quality of your morning and eventually your life. Secondly, the first hour after you wake up influences your mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing and hence has to be used consciously. Robin proposes a formula of “20/20/20” that I talk about in detail in this video.

“The Early Bird Gets The Worm” North Carolina
Yes!
My Mom still tells me this!
My mother always says this expression ❤️
But the second mouse gets the cheese :D
In Romania we say "Cine se scoala de dimineata, departe ajunge" which means "The one who wakes up early in the morning gets far." it can refer at the distance, but mainly at "getting far in life and being successful".
Lovely! 😊
Appreciated!Anthropologists had concluded that Romanians had migrated from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. In Indian culture waking up early and offering prayers and doing Yoga had been age old practice which continues till date.Probably the verse that you had said had its distant Indian connection.
In french 🇫🇷 we say "le monde appartient a ceux qui se levent tot" meaning "the world belongs to who wakes up early" !
C’est vrai ☺️
"El que madruga, Dios lo ayuda" (spanish)
"God helps that who rises early"
I'm from Argentina ☺❤
Hello 🤚🏻
"No por mucho madrugar amanece más temprano" hahaha
Love it, same quote here in Mexico !
And so trueeee x
Lovely video! I'm from Portugal and we say "Deitar cedo e cedo erguer dá saúde e faz crescer" meaning "To go to bed early and wake up early gives you health and makes you grow"
"Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise." Benjamin Franklin 🇺🇸
I grew up getting at 5am for high school. However during college, course work and my job heavily affected my wake up time. I realize now that I really need sleep so instead of always waking up at 5 or 6am, I tell myself that I need to get ready for bed no later than 10pm. When I go to bed by this time, I can always get up by 6am cause that personally works for me and my routine.
That is the quote I was trying to say ☺️
Didn't einstein wake up at 11 am each day?
@@en2336 I've noticed that the kinds of people who wake up so early by choice every day are less intelligent...they aren't deep thinkers.
Heh...their minds never drift towards analyzing and solving complex issues...which is why doing something like leaping out of bed every day isn't terribly difficult for them.
Can you do parent etiquette series? How to look graceful holding a child on your hip, kids sitting and behavior in public restaurants, handling public temper tantrums, etc? I know it sounds like a stupid question but everything's so casual now days, most times you see families with kids it's looks chaotic. I've seen parents graceful but kids acting like they have no home training.
Proverbs 31:15
She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. ~ a popular Bible verse in the Nigerian Christian community.
🙏🏻
I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and we have an old saying: "God helps those who rise early". I'm waking up 5:40am now and trying to improve little by little to achieve the 5am goal. Thank you for the video!
You are welcome
I'm American and I think Benjamin Franklin said, "Early to bed. Early to rise. Makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise."
Yes! That is what I was trying to quote ☺️
🇷🇴 "whoever wakes up in the morning will go far away" this is what I know since i was little.🤩 Thank you for sharing this🤗
You are welcome
"Kto rano wstaje, temu Pan Bóg daje" (Polish) -> 'The one who wakes up early is the one who is taken care of by God' ♡
Absolutely
In Spain we have the same saying
Well, I won't start waking up at 5 am but this is motivation to manage my time in a more fruitful way. And nobody mentioned it yet...in Italy we say "morning has gold in its mouth" which means obviously that it is the most productive time of the day. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you for sharing!
In Austria we also say „Morgenstund hat Gold im Mund“ = „Morning hour has gold in its mouth“! 🥰
“El Que se levanta temprano desayuna temprano” Spanish- Panamá 🇵🇦
“ Whoever wakes up earlier eats breakfast earlier “
Muchas gracias 🙏🏻
When I stayed at my grandparents house, my grandad would wake me each morning, whistling cheerfully and would tell me that I was "burning daylight". This was especially true on the boat, because things needed to be done early enough to travel (and he didn't want me to miss the scenery).
From England 😊
Thank you for sharing this story 🙏🏻
Love this story.
We have a saying in Czech "Ranní ptáče dál doskáče" "The early bird jumps the furthest"
Interesting one!
Jamila, thank you so much for making this. I'm struggling to get out of depression for a while, but your videos really help me recognize that the world has so much more to offer.
I am so happy to hear that I can help you somehow 🙏🏻 you make your world a beautiful place ✨
One of the quotes is actually from a kids show I remember from the 90's, it's from Power Puff Girls, one of the girls said "Ealry to rise makes a girl beautiful and wise" or something very similar. That has stuck with me since I was a kid and have kept to it as long as I can remember
I think we can say it applies to both girls and boys ☺️
I don't get up at 5 am anymore due to retirement however the first 20 mins I get my coffee and water organized, the 2nd 20 mins I do stretching, after that I pray.
That is a lovely morning routine
Italy 🇮🇹 “Il mattino ha l’oro in bocca”
“the morning hour has gold in its mouth“
Beautiful saying
Love it ☺️
In Brazil we say something like: God helps those who get up early 🇧🇷😄
Indeed 🙏🏻
In Croatia we say ''Tko rano rani, dvije sreće grabi.'' which is translated something like ''Who wakes up early, he has double the luck.'' I wake up between 4 and 5. I use this time for prayer, workout and listening podcasts.
👏🏻👏🏻
"Morgenstund hat Gold im Mund" is a German proverb and comes from the latin phrase "aurora habet aurum in ore". It's basically "the morning hour has gold in its mouth".
🙏🏻
I completely agree about the environment and the people that you surround yourself with! I made this mistake a few years ago and I was so drained! I lost people that were important to me and attracted people who drained me. Now I'm working to improve things once again. Thank you for this video!
You are welcome!
Today I woke up with anxiety, then I was on youtube and I found your video, it caught my attention. After watching the video I felt that my anxiety had disappeared and I was at peace, harmony. Your voice is so beautiful and healing.
I am so happy to hear that you felt better afterwards ☺️
We have an expression here in Norway too about early mornings. It goes like "morgenstund har gull i munn", which means morning time is gold in the mouth. However, this is an old saying, and originally the word was "mund", which meant "hand". And that makes actually more sense. If you can start your day earlier, then you can work more, which means you get more "gold" or payment in your hand.
Good one!
"Daig ng maagap ang masipag." (Tagalog)
Literally means "Promptness exceeds diligence".
It's an english counterpart of "The early bird gets the worm."
I'm from the Philippines.
Thank you 💕
一日之計在於晨,which means the actualization of plans of the day depends on whether you make them in the morning. I’m a Chinese Hongkonger.
I need to add :
Surround ourselves with good people .no uncomfortable drama. That's truth if we surround ourselves with good people that you can trust motivated people that is the key that was a really good point you made
I'm from the State of Georgia.one of the 52 United States of America..
We Have Mostly Agriculture here .My dad and mom influenced me greatly to get up early..My father always got up at the range of 2 to 4am every day .I'm thankful that they pushed me to thrive on my own whenever the moments are ..
Dear Jamila, your channel is a real gem, and stands out for the good-quality content that you carefully prepare and curate. Much appreciated! 💜
Thank you 🙏🏻
I so appreciate this video and will be sharing it, along with the book, with my kids (23, 21, 16). And I’ll be getting my hands on it, as well. Such valuable lessons to be had here! This isn’t about getting up early but a quote I’ve said to my kids MANY times: “you become who you hang around”. ☺️
Absolutely agree with it!
Hii... Jamila I am from India (Punjab)
And here in northern part of my country everyone believe rising early is the time when you can connect your self with God by prayer or by doing meditation . And this is a fact that if person walks uo early he get everything from god. Good health and wealth.
And if i talk about my self i start my day at 4:00 but the 1st task which i do everyday is prayer to god by reading holybook. But its really nice to know 1st we should do exercise and after that do everything which give us progress in our life. So thank you so much for sharing such a good knowlegd with us.. .I always watch your videos...
Thank you for sharing your story!
Good to see Indians in Azerbaijanian world 😅😍 I thought I m the only indian to watch her videos 😂😂
I'm reading the 5am club at the moment too, and have also just finished The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. Very determined to make the most of my mornings :) xx
I will check out the book
One of the few things my mother always told us was: "Listen to the night sky; the mockingbird always sings you my lullaby" and /or "Angels wake up right now to keep you safe while you fall asleep, then they go back to sleep once you are awake" So... in a way, she kept us on believing that angels were night creatures. I am from Portugal.
When I attended H.S. in the States I used to wake up at 5:30 in the morning, once I graduated I became lazy and my University class schedule was a mess, not including my part-time job, and having some free time for friends, family and for myself. I was drained out of energy by 5 or 6 in the afternoon. Once I graduated from college, I told myself I'd never do that again. It took me three months to get back to my old schedule, going to sleep by 10:30pm and waking up at 5 or 5:30am every morning. It was a struggle during the wintertime but finally, I got into the rhythm of waking up. The first thing I would do was do yoga, meditation, and Tai Chi/ but during summer times I would and still do go out with my boyfriend outside for a jog, then back at the apt, we listen to a podcast, while I cook something for us. And still, have time for myself. I would love to read Robin Sharma's book. Thank you, Jamila!
Thank you for sharing your story! You will enjoy his book then ☺️
"Кој рано рани - две среќи граби" is the Macedonian version. Roughly translates to "He who is early catches two fortunes" (I say "roughly", because most of the words include Macedonian slang, which is impossible to translate to English accurately)
Wow! Interesting what those two fortunes mean
@@JamilaMusayeva I guess "fortunes" could also be translated to "opportunities". The word "среќа" has many meanings depending on the context. For example, it can mean "happiness" (which is the main connotation), it can mean "luck", it can also refer to a person's fate.
I'm from the Philippines and I love watching your videos. It makes me motivated everyday. Thank you 🌷😍🇵🇭
You are so welcome!
amazing, thank you, Jamila. (a thought of mine: I wake up daily at dawn, my sleep routine is: Sleep at 9:30 pm and wake up at 4:00 am.) one could use this advice and plan his/her day based on it, and remember the more you manage the first hour the more u get out of your day + a little secret: if u imagine the day passing as planned it will pass as planned exactly, imagination is a reality with feelings that u should use to plan. thanks for ready my comment
Absolutely!!!
God helps who rises at dawn. Brazil (Deus ajuda quem cedo madruga)
Indeed!
Hi Jamila 🙋I am from Kerala, India. In my country as per ayurveda recommends that the ideal time to wake up is the Brahma Muhurtham. This means two hours before the sunrise. It is the time for yourself to properly cleanse and nourish your body
Good to know!

In Portuguese sounds better and it rhymes 😅
