- This is one of two final battles against Wei. As Sun Quan, you're attacking Cao Cao's forces head on as Lu Xun and Sun Jian go around to light Cao Cao's castle on fire because what else would Lu Xun do? You also have Sima Yi and his ballista ambush to contend with and trust me that can screw you over fast.
One thing I really like about this ending is Cao Cao being a MAN. He basically just goes "No. Screw you and screw your happy ending. I would literally rather die in a fire."

Cao cao is such a badass.
No wonder many people emulate that by burning bridges or ruining opportunity and depicting their ignorance as "standing up for themselves" or "not taking anyone's shit", particularly e-thugs.

Lol, Sun Ce struggling the instant he fights Xiahou Dun. Makes sense, after all the mission is to RESCUE him from Xiahou Dun.
They're the hardest to fight in this stage simply because you don't have musou and you're always at a disadvantage on one of them. If you get stunned without musou you're just dead before the stage even really starts.
And then a few decades later, Sun Hao takes the throne and everything goes straight to hell.

They really made Sun Quan look pretty dumb here. He just massacred most of Cao Cao's men and burned down his palace yet still asks him to ally with Wu. 10/10 storytelling right there guys... 👏👏👏🙄🙄🙄
I really would have preferred if the Wu hypothetical focused on Sun Jian becoming the leader of Wu instead of Sun Quan, just like how Sima Shi replaces Sima Zhao as the leader in the Jin hypothetical.
Didn't Sun Jian get preferential treatment in DW6 already?
Sun Ce as leader would have worked better. We never really saw Sun Ce in charge as much.

I don't think he kills them. If that was the case we'd hear their deaths lines and see *insert name here* was slain, like in all the others.

Xuchang was made as a capital due to Chang'an was ravaged by wars, Luo yang hasn't been rebuild yet from burns due to Dong Zhuo. After the fall of Han, Luoyang has already recovered so Wei relocated the capital to Luoyang once again.
Sun quan hypothetical is the best for alliances
i remember the days Gan Ning actually was a god level character and stuff, never had a problem even on hard to chaos once we got to dw6 and above he became a real bitch, instead of the badass Gan Ning a warrior without equal type character, i remember the old "Wei has Zhang Liao but Wu has Gan Ning," which That quote doesn't get much justice with the last few games we got of Gan Ning and etc Gan Ning we got now is a Hair stylist and complains fighting when he was so good at it he always wanted one
