Can you imagine if he'd never become an actor and just taken over the family bakery instead? "Cupcakes...I baked, three dozen...I can see now...they're gone."
My favorite actor of all time. Its amazing how versatile he was. He was a dramatic actor in 70s and early 80s, then became a villain role actor when he had the scary stare with his eyes in 80s and early 90s, but when he got older and his look became tamer he took on comedy roles, and amazing excelled in all these in the late 90s and 2000s. King of cameos and weird characters, but such a likable guy. Oh yeah, and he danced through all these decades every other 10th movie or so!
Actually Christopher Walken does a lousy Christopher Walken impression. In all interviews I'm waiting for him to sound cool like the impressionists, but get nothing. Seriously.
drServitis I've noticed this myself....is it possible that Chris talks more like the impersonators when he in fact is acting? So far that has been my experience. Seems like this is part of his on screen persona with a touch of creep behind it😶😉
I always wondered if Walken's strange cadence in speaking was partly a result of his having immigrant parents. Though I have my doubts about my theory anymore. His mother was a Scottish immigrant and his father was German.
This proves you don’t need tap shoes to tap dance, of course this is Chris Walken we are talking about. I’m always waiting to see him again in movies ❤
Christopher Walken- brilliant, self-effacing, multi-talented... I fell in love with his performance when seeing him for the first time in The Dead Zone. The man's a genius!!!
I like his thinking about money, money doesn't make the man, just look at a the phoonies Hollywood has made, the future actors and actresss could learn a lot about intilledment for this man
I’ve watched mor recent interviews and what’s great is the older he gets the more he doesn’t hold back what makes him so funny. I think it’s because he’s really self aware and plays it off but it’s a great ability cultivate as one ages.
At 7:00 He says,"He invited me to eat lunch one day and he was eating penne with pomodoro" Pomodoro means tomato in Italian. The dish is actually called Pasta Al Pomodoro. It is a very light dish which has olive oil, tomatoes, basil and pasta.
We misunderstand constantly that the industry celebrates the celebrity of stardom instead of the stories a guy like christopher walked tells us..director's and producers are the heroes
"From here on, nothing goes down unless Im involved. No black jack, no dope deals, no nothing. A nickel bag gets sold in the park, I want in! You guys got fat while everybody starve on the streets. Its my turn." -Christopher Walken in King of New York
A famous actor/director/producer said that many years ago when he first came to H'wood, that he was freaked out by Walken. He said that he just appeared at this big party one night and 'glided sideways across the floor, like his feet weren't even touching the floor, to where he was. He said that he just stood there with an intense stare that was unsettling and he actually felt afraid. He looked across the room out a window and saw 666 on a building, so he figured he must be the anti-Christ! 😱
Hey, I remember this episode! I was only 11 years old and didn't know who Christopher Walken was, but I'd been excited about the new BATMAN movie for months, so my parents must have let me stay up to watch the interview. It's funny, because I can barely remember anything other than that.
No worries mate. I apologize if I came off as a wanker in my initial post. :-) He truly is an amazing and incredibly unique actor. I really wish I could do a passable Christopher Walken imitation. It's the voice everyone kind of wishes they could do. hehe Cheers.

Your comment deserved way more likes lol 👍
You don’t buy all that nonsense do you
It’s rare to be able to convey tone in a typed comment but you did it,I heard that as Walken in my head

Chris is such a badass. I can't believe he's been married to the same woman for 43 years. I wish more of Hollywood was like him.

Could put him in almost any movie and he would be able to make it work.
Nobody could sport that haircut and look cool, NOBODY
Except Christopher Walken.
Elvis could. That's who he copied the hair from. He wanted to be Elvis.
Nicholas Cage, too
Always had and still have a big Crush on this man ❤️
A face that stands out from a thousand other faces.
This guy does the best Christopher Walken impression I've ever seen.
Actually Christopher Walken does a lousy Christopher Walken impression. In all interviews I'm waiting for him to sound cool like the impressionists, but get nothing. Seriously.

@@drServitis He said where he grew up in New York the immigrants talked like that because it was their second language.

I'm pretty sure if vampires existed that Walken would be one of them.

favourite actor - amazing dude - good to see dave give this guy so much respect
Walkin so gracefully
Ya gotta love Christopher Walken.
I was there that night, backstage, in the dressing room with Christopher Walken. True story, what a nice man, true gentleman.
He’ll be the male Betty White in about 30 years we hope. Take care of yourself Mr. Walken. Hollywood needs at least one class-act!
Betty White would be honored.
Wouldn't that be wonderful!?!
Christopher Walken is a national treasure
Christopher Walken- brilliant, self-effacing, multi-talented... I fell in love with his performance when seeing him for the first time in The Dead Zone. The man's a genius!!!
Who's watching chris walken during quarantine?

3:48 He was like "yeah obviously" LOL
My favorite actor! Love you Christopher Walken. You are a truely amazing man.
His hair has hardly changed at all.
He was cute then and still is at 70.

there is something so calming about his smile...i think he may be a vampire
Christopher Walken’s condensed but very memorable role in Pulp Fiction was just around the corner (1995).
One of my ABSOLUTE favorites
David Bowie's long lost brother
cross between Bowie and Scott Weiland
And Michael Shannon
Tremendous actor and personality!!!
What a guy... my favourite actor
What I enjoy about Walken.. is he allows you to enter into the movie process with him.. as he describes certain movie clips.
Love him..!♥️
His voice is one of the most impersonated in history!
Nice tap dance. Didn't know that about him! Love this actor👍
He's not underrated. He's properly rated.
I forgot how much I liked David Letterman. Christopher Walken is always great to watch.
Dave was still Dave in '92. He became a lot less likeable after Carson passed him up in '93.
The way he says thank you at the end! Such a humble guy 😂.
Maybe ...
There's still Natalie wood questions.
He is so hot OMG
you...
Me...?
+Jess Edwards you are hot, gorgeous
Why thank you!
No problem wherr u from?
Very few guests could bring genuine enthusiasm out of Dave like Chris.
As a 24 i love chris for years .. and his movies , one of my fav actors all time ❤
I notice that he touches his finger tips together in every interview.
Yes pondering
Christopher Walken seems like he would be fun to be around. He does wierd naturally. Haha!

Thanks for the batman (diet coke) Comercial. Best flash back ever
There is a stillness about him.
He's surrounded by it.
AND IT'S GREAT !! He can reach around the stillness and embrace it.
>> I am safe
Dave always looked like the kid from mad magazine
We misunderstand constantly that the industry celebrates the celebrity of stardom instead of the stories a guy like christopher walked tells us..director's and producers are the heroes
Such a freaky looking man in the most interesting way
Yes! I could sit and be freaked out by him all night.
He's alien like, but in a non-threatening kind of way...
Christopher Walken and I walked along
Under branches lit up by the moon
Posing our questions to Owl and Eeyore
On a day that would end all too soon 🎶
Christopher Walken won an Oscar for best supporting actor in The Deer Hunter!
He is wonderful

"From here on, nothing goes down unless Im involved. No black jack, no dope deals, no nothing. A nickel bag gets sold in the park, I want in! You guys got fat while everybody starve on the streets. Its my turn."
-Christopher Walken in King of New York
Fucking awesome scene. Respect for posting.
He has this amazing acting and performing resumes. This is an icon.
Dave doesn’t let him talk or appreciate Walken’s pauses. Walken is a brilliant and insightful guy and it’s lost in Dave’s clowning.
I absolutely love him❤❤❤❤
