I love your presentations. I am hoping to start making earrings to sell as I have left my job and need an income. I hope that this turns out to be a good option. You are very informative and easy to listen to.
Just starting out using clay. Waiting for all my supplies to come in!!! I’ve made jewelry for years, but looking to add something different! I’ve watched so many of your videos!!!💖💖💖
You are so helpful. Watched many videos but coming to watch your videos again and again. Please make detailed video about how to start small business, including packaging, marketing and more .. Lots of love from india
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I am an absolute beginner. You mentioned you had a video for complete guide to polymer clay earrings. I couldn't see where it was. Can you link it again please. Thank you :)
Question: I'm getting some cutters from etsy but they have different sizes. What size would you recommend for stud earrings? Thanks for the playlist too!! I'm getting started and your videos have definitely guided me the right direction!
Thank you! I actually used to have kits in my etsy shop but I was having trouble getting the clay in stock. So i don't have a recommendation right now.
Question for the group! Does anyone use bake and bond AND finish their earrings with polyurethane? How do you do this? Bake & Bond then glaze, vice versa? Just curious!
Hey, your videos are awesome. Thanks for sharing. I'm just getting started. What happens if I dont use UV resin or glaze on the baked clay earrings? I'm curious to know.
Hi- love all your videos so helpful!! I’m making some post earrings to sell and I’ve used that same gorilla glue, and locktite but after 24 hrs I can pull the post off. What could I be doing wrong? I’ve even tried roughing up both surfaces I’ll try the bake and bond next - how long do I bake if I’m baking a second time?
I think it’s recommended to sand the surfaces as the grit gives something more grippable for the glue to hold on if the surface is too smooth especially with super glues it can simply crack off. Metal doesn’t bond great with other materials especially.
Hi! I love yours videos. I have a business for about 4 years and I’m beginning using clay and i’m having some problems after baking. The piece is very soft and easy to crack. Can you help me?
I’m having a heck of a time with my tissue blade. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but when I scrape my earrings up with it they come out misshaped. I tried doing it fast, slow, and even tried with a very slight shimmy but every time it wrecks their shape. Help!!
After it’s conditioned, how thin do you know to make it? What number is the pasta maker on at the end? I didn’t see you check the thickness or tell us.
Hi Kristen!. Can you please make a video on how to set a small business. I've been working with Clay for years but I'm scare of selling online because I don't know the steps I need to make. Do I need to register or jave a license to sell stuff with the name I use. I've been selling my earrings at my husband's job only and when I go out people ask me about my earrings and who made them when when I say me and they ask If I have a shop its so disappointing everytime I say I don't have one. If you already have a video about it can you let me know please. Thanks in advance!
I just saw a tip on another video where you put cling wrap over top of the clay and then press the cutter down. I haven’t tried it myself yet but the results looked good!
When you made these earrings you had an opportunity to show your viewers how to add detail. It would have been nicer with some scalloped edges in my opinion. Maybe do a video on adding texture or color or other embellishments though I’m sure you have done some before possibly not sure if you already did a dedicated one however as I am new to your channel.
I am trying to figure out what all I need to get started and your videos have been a great help!!!
Just getting started. Have not made anything yet. Thank you for all your help. And info.

@@RaisingNobles Thanks 😉
Hello ! Thank you for this helpful video .I am new to this ! Any tips ?
Great, I love it. Can u pls share how to glaze polymer clay earrings.
Thanks for watching! Sure I can share that in an upcoming video!

Oh you’re welcome! I’m not actually sure about the stud size, I’ll measure!
Yes ,what size must the cutters be !👂🏻💍😗
Thank you
Very helpful. Thank you.
Your videos are so helpful! Is there a kit that you would recommend to start?
Yes bake n bond first then glaze after

Great video! What kind of post do you use? Also, is the E6000 a good glue to use for this type of project?
I’ve never used e6000 for earrings
And I believe the posts are linked in my videos
@@RaisingNobles Okay, I will check the description box.I probably overlooked it😅
Very informative ......❤️
Thank you!!
hey there! I’m wondering how you bake the clay again with the bake and bond adhesive without what you baked initially getting burnt! Thanks!
Hi: Could you tell me where you got the table top for your table that looks Marbled and what it is made out of please?
It’s just marble contact paper from target
Hi- love all your videos so helpful!! I’m making some post earrings to sell and I’ve used that same gorilla glue, and locktite but after 24 hrs I can pull the post off. What could I be doing wrong? I’ve even tried roughing up both surfaces
I’ll try the bake and bond next - how long do I bake if I’m baking a second time?
that's odd. what type of earring posts are you using? i would definitely try bake n bond if you are still having issues
Another question! How do you store your off cuts or unused clay?
Just in a plastic container
I’ve seen some people file/sand down their posts to make them rough? They said it allows them to adhere to the clay better? Have you done this?
I think it’s recommended to sand the surfaces as the grit gives something more grippable for the glue to hold on if the surface is too smooth especially with super glues it can simply crack off. Metal doesn’t bond great with other materials especially.
I have seen some people do that but I have never needed to. My technique holds the posts just fine.
Can u plzz tell about gloss and Matt varnish
Sure! I’ll make a note to share that in an upcoming video
Hi! I love yours videos. I have a business for about 4 years and I’m beginning using clay and i’m having some problems after baking. The piece is very soft and easy to crack. Can you help me?
Hey! Sure! What type of clay are you using? And are you conditioning the clay before working with it?
@@RaisingNobles hi! Yes, I’m conditioning (I think i’m doing it ok). I’m using sculpey souffle and fimo soft.
@@jeanny8885 bake at 275 for 45-50 minutes.
If you use bake and bond, would you do it at the same time as the original bake or can you bake it twice?
You can do either one! Baking twice is fine!
Thank you for the advice 👂🏻💍❤️😛😃💕
You are so welcome!
I am brand new to this lol. How think do I roll out the clay?
you can use an acrylic roller or pasta machine, both are linked in the video description below all my videos
want to try making earrings, i have never used polymer clay, how do you get an even thickness for both earrings when rolling out?
you can use a pasta machine for that, or you can stack popsicle sticks to make a thickness guide. some shops also sell acrylic guides you can use
Hello, great video. What the recommended thick that will not break easily? Thank You.
Does this glue work on fired terracotta jewellery ?
I’m having a heck of a time with my tissue blade. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but when I scrape my earrings up with it they come out misshaped. I tried doing it fast, slow, and even tried with a very slight shimmy but every time it wrecks their shape. Help!!

Do you have to bake them again after putting on bake and bond?
Yep!
Question! When it comes to using gold leaf, does it have to be true gold leaf or can it be imitation
Imitation is fine!

@@RaisingNobles OmG. 🤗❤Thanks so much!.
🙏🏾It would mean the world to not just me but to a lot of people.
What is the Liquid Sculpey for? What is Bake & Bond for?
Hi, so i have the same exact pasta machine. What setting number you have set? Thanks!
I have it set on the largest number
If I don’t have sanding paper, is there another technique that I can use to made the edges of the earrings smoother?
Hmm good question! You could use a denim material? From an older pair of jeans and rub the edges. Or an xacto knife to scrape the edges
I just saw a tip on another video where you put cling wrap over top of the clay and then press the cutter down. I haven’t tried it myself yet but the results looked good!
what gold jump rings and posts do you use?
What was the name of the glue you put over the gorilla glue if you are selling your earrings?
Where do you get your earring backs/studs?
Amazon

@@RaisingNobles do people complain that these hurt or irritate their ears?
How thick did you make them?
About 2mm thick
Love your work. Do you have FB page?
Thank you! No I don’t, sorry! But I do have a Facebook group called “all things clay earrings”
Hey there can I bake on gas and electric how long I bake at my gas stove
you can bake in a gas stove
Would plexiglass work as well as a glass surface? Anyone tried this?
hmm, not too sure..it may be too porous...
If you oven isn’t true to temp, you need to calibrate it. You should be able to do it yourself, just read the manual.
You can just put the glass in the oven!
