Just bought a bunch of clay and clay making accessories! I normally do resin work but was looking for something new to try and have always loved the look of clay jewelry. Im excited to give it a go! You're video was so helpful!
I’m new to polymer clay. My goal is to learn all I can, and create both jewelry & other decorate pieces. When I’m ready, I definitely plan to start selling. I look forward to watching all of your videos
Hi there, as it comes with surfing, I don't remember how I found you :) But I am glad I did! Worked with Fimo as a kid, like 30+ years ago. Now I found my way back to polymer clay. I bought some clay, some cutters, have a lot of ideas - and some struggles =D But I met a lot of very nice and kind people who all gave me helpful information. And same here: I kinda knew, I should kneed my clay, but I DEF. did it not enough. So, thank you very very much for this, as it may seem, basic information. It is something, that I haven't read about on insta, so far.
Love this video. Having a lot of problems with my clay sticking to my roller and then when i try to take it off it breaks. Could this be the roller rather than conditioning? Have you found different rollers work better than others?
it could be either one. i like the acrylic rollers. you can wet the roller if you are still having trouble you can spray a little water on your roller before using it
I just bought some sculpey premo translucent clay on Saturday. I opened it today, but it is all crumbly! I have no tools as I was just wanting to get a handprint and fingerprint of my granddaughter to give as gifts! What can I do to make it useable? Or should I return it?
How long do you do this? Is there a time limit it takes or just how it looks and feels. This part does overwhelm me. Lol. What do you store it in after? Thankyou
Thank you for the informative video! It was super helpful. My question is- when mixing colors to make a gradient effect, how can you make sure it’s conditioned enough/ no air bubbles, without overdoing it and loosing the gradient effect. Thanks! (I do inverse triangles of each color and then run it through the pasta maker)
Hi! I would love to see how you package your orders! I want to wrap each pair individually but some people order 4, or 5 pairs. Do You wrap them separately and put in a bubble mailer? Or a box?
I've seen some people exclusively use a liquid conditioner, is this required? Does it help make it stronger? Or just work it like this (which is what I usually do)?
I have a Makin Clay Machine that is decent but I’m debating on buying an Atlas but they are expensive. You said you like your pasta machine. Have you ever tried the Makin or Atlas? Does the handle fall out of yours?
hi! could the spiking temperature of my oven toaster cause my clay to have bubbles also? I preheat my oven for 1 min and put my clay for 1 min too. after it becomes flexible but it has bubbles. Im not sure if its because i dont condition them enough or because of my oven toaster. thank you in advance!
it's possible, i'm not too sure about that. but definitely being careful about the way you condition the clay will help with bubbles. you can also sandwich your pieces between a ceramic tile while you bake to help avoid bubbles. hope that helps!
Have you had issues with the machine shaving or scratching your clay? This is my second machine and still having the issue. It seems like it happens anytime I go smaller than a 2 or 3.
I’m so glad you enjoy my videos! Thanks for warning them 💛💛 I start on the highest setting which is 7 and then move down to 3-4 for conditioning the clay. I use all the settings for different things though
@@RaisingNobles Yes, I actually did. It was my first time baking fimo. I used Fimo Professional , I will go into the store and get some Fimo soft and I will see if there is any other series I can find in white. I will let you know wat my fingdings are. Thank you for coming back to me. Great appreciation.
I bought an additional x3 types of clay this morning. I cant seem to supply attach a photo. I made the exact same shape and thickness on all four, but got four different results in the same oven? Only one tends to be white, but still have a bit if discoloration. I cant think that that there is something wrong with my oven, for I bake and sell every other day.
I am not able to lift up my clay, it sticks to all surfaces... I tried Leaching, still its the same. It's my first attempt. I am gonna get another brand clay.
Raising Nobles Okay great🙂Just heard a few people say you should use a seperate, dedicated oven for the clay and not the one you prepare your food in, so wasnt sure it it was a bit toxic or not😬😌🙂

Hooray! It’s such a fun hobby, have fun!
This was very helpful! Everyone just says to condition your clay but not really what that looks like when it's done. Thank you!
So glad it helped!!

Thank you for all the free resources! Going to try earrings for fun and I’ve been using your videos as a starting guide!
I’m new to creating polymer clay earrings! All of your videos been so helpful!
Thank you for sharing! I just bought some tools that you recommended to try making some clay earrings just for personal use!
Wonderful!!
I started making clay earrings not long ago. Thank you for the tips.

Do you have to condition it to the thinnest setting at all? Or can i start thick then move to the next setting i want
Great lesson. How many millimeters is number 7 on your pasta machine ? Is number 7 your preferred thickness for your earrings? Thank you!
I’m not sure what it is in mm

Great video! I found the difference in the roller & pasta maker interesting!
Thank you! Yes they are very different - I much prefer the pasta maker! So much easier on the hands and quicker too!
@@RaisingNobles what kind of pasta maker did you use?
@@RaisingNobles never mind I just saw it in the description box...does it still work well for u? Everyone else sweas by the marcato atlas 150
Aldi are selling a similar one in the UK for £6.99 (dated 15Nov22). Just bought one and pretty much identical to this one.
Awesome!

thank you lady sooooo much!
you're welcome
I'm just starting to learn how to do the clay jewelry. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Where do you get your cut outs?
youre very welcome. the clay cutters are from all over, etsy, amazon mostly
What is the final setting thickness to cut your earring. Is there a recommended thickness for earring
About 2mm
I'm loving these videos! So helpful! Thank you 🤗
Thank you. 🙂
you're welcome
Just for fun! I love your videos!!
Thank you!
The tool you used to scrap the clay off the glass?

I would like to know too! Im new
This was super helpful thank you 🙃
I’m so glad it was helpful! 💛💛
I'm starting to make earrings as a business! Literally just starting out and these videos are all so helpful X
Wonderful!
I feel like when I use my pasta machine it just leaves terrible lines. What causes that? Or what can I do to at least make it better? Thanks so much!
I bought premo for my base and fimo soft for designs but they have different temps. Can I still bake Fimo Soft at 275 degrees?
i would call the manufacturers
Hi! I would love to see how you package your orders! I want to wrap each pair individually but some people order 4, or 5 pairs. Do You wrap them separately and put in a bubble mailer? Or a box?
Yes I would be happy to share some ideas on packaging! I am planning a video for that near the end of my clay earring series
I was wondering how thin to make the clay for earrings? Thanks in advance! Love your vids.
Thank you! An 1/8” or a little thicket is my preference! Hope that helps!
The cutters keep sticking the clay even though it’s not thick, how do you prevent that and cut them perfectly?
I've seen some people exclusively use a liquid conditioner, is this required? Does it help make it stronger? Or just work it like this (which is what I usually do)?
Thank you!
You’re welcome! I hope it was helpful! Have you been making earrings for long?
I have a Makin Clay Machine that is decent but I’m debating on buying an Atlas but they are expensive. You said you like your pasta machine. Have you ever tried the Makin or Atlas? Does the handle fall out of yours?
I have never tried the more expensive machines - sorry! But yes the handle does come off easily, but it's not an issue for me.
@@RaisingNobles thank you for your response. I love your videos! I made my first batch of the stained glass ones after watching your guide.

Wonderful!! I hope you ladies have fun!!
Hey there! I love your videos is so easy for understanding.. I have question. What numbers in your pasta machine do you use?
I’m so glad you enjoy my videos! Thanks for warning them 💛💛 I start on the highest setting which is 7 and then move down to 3-4 for conditioning the clay. I use all the settings for different things though
Raising Nobles Thank you for your answer. And information about everything polymer clay 💞 success!
Quick question, if white fimo clay comes out light pink, is that a conditioning problem ?
Hmm. I’ve never seen that happen. Did you clean all your surfaces and tools before conditioning the white clay?
@@RaisingNobles Yes, I actually did. It was my first time baking fimo. Just got my acrylic roller and the FIMO professional clay is really sticking to it and leaving behind a residue. Any tips?
I have the same issue when using fimo
corn starch or water
Hi, how thick is your clay in mm before cut out the earring forms please. Hugs from Tania from out of Belgium

i use the thickest setting on my machine

That Monstera though.......

What if you don't have a pasta roller?
I share how to condition with a roller in the video
What setting do you want as the last one before you start cutting out your shapes?
I do the thickest on my pasta machine, which is a 7
So where do you buy your clay?
Nevermind! Found your other video! 😅
I get it all on amazon ☺️
Do you have to have a pasta roller to make decent earrings?
