Watching these I'm thankful I'm still alive at 58. There's no guarantee on our end date. I keep reminding myself of that. Rest in peace to all.
Every day is a gift
I'm 79. Shortly ( hopefully) will be 80 and after seeing some of these deaths of people my age and younger, glad to still be here.
I'm your age as well. We have many more years ahead of us before they putting the dirt upon us.👍😀
I'm thankful as well. I'll be 68 in about a month, an I've survived a car accident where I hit the windshield, several falls, where I cracked my head on pavement and the bathtub, 2 C-sections, gall bladder surgery, and breast cancer. Others, much younger than I am are already deceased for various reasons.
@janishart5128 Wow. And I thought I had it bad after being blown up and wounded in VietNam. You are lucky to still be around.
Thank you David Sanborn for all those years of great music. You will be sadly missed by all your fans worldwide. Condolences to his family & friends; he is gone too soon. 😢
Saw him jam with SRV and was amazed
Another great musician taken from our midst way too soon. RIP Stevie & David.
I'm so hurt that we've lost David Sanborn. His style of jazz was groundbreaking. Loved his smooth jazz radio show.💔
May they all R.I.P. And thank you again Legacy for another respectful obituary.
Ditto. Legacy does it best. 🎉🎉🎉
Roger Corman was the essence of the classic B movie producer. He made the movies that we all enjoyed and never admitted! Great talent. RIP Roger!
You said it best. Movies we watched and enjoyed, but won't admit enjoying them.
He was cheesy good - no disrespect intended- grew on his “ horror” movies another great R.I.P. ♥️
I believe Roger Corman also influenced Kevin Smith's Red State, Tusk, Yoga Hosers, and Kilroy Was Here.
Corman movies ALWAYS were AWESOME!
He was an incredible person ❤️ RIP 🙏🏽
R.I.P to Jazz legend David Sandborn. He was such an incredible musician. He will be truly missed by Jazz lovers everywhere.
R.I.P. Roger Corman. Your movies entertained me for decades.😢😢
David Sanborn was one of the greatest jazz legends. May he Rest in Eternal Paradise
Thank you for always presenting each one of your Legacy obituaries with such kindness and respect.
David Sanborn, one of my favorite jazz artists, truly a legend, and a great personality, he also hosted a jazz radio show for years. He was one of my first favorite smooth jazz/contemporary jazz artists. RIP Sir, you have left a great legacy of music 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷👂🏼💐💐💐
He did a great solo for the Eagles classic "The Sad Cafe."
His family part owners of Chase & Sanborn coffee.
Rest in Roses Mr. Sanborn. My favorite songs of yours were Spooky and Chicago Song. Thank you 🤍🕊
My Daddy and I were huge fans. I first heard his music in the late 1970's. David was up there with the greats of Dave Grusin, Yellow Jackets and Gato Barbieri.
Qp
David Sanborn was one of my top likes in Jazz. I’ve always loved the sound of a saxophone 🎷. He made it great! RIP. You will be missed.
Thank you Donna Summer, Sammy Davis Jr, and Jim Henson for your unforgettable contribution to entertainment and children's television.❤...I will never forget Sammy Davis and Archie Bunker...so hilarious.😂
The All in the Family segment with Sammy Davis Jr was and still a classic!❤
@@karrynemoron67Yes indeed.
It was the winter of 1987, and I was picking up my cousin for Church, and, as usual, she was running late. As I waited, I pushed the radio buttons. Suddenly, this beautiful sax music came over the speakers. I was frozen in place. In all of my 17 years on earth, I had never heard anything like it. It was David Sanborn's Sunday Morning Jazz show, and I was hooked. I fell in love with Jazz because of David. Between him and Casey Kasem, I don't think I went to church for three years. But I think God understands. After all, I passed that love of Jazz on to my children, so something good came out of it.
May Favid rest in eternal peace.
😂❤
Gee, you could edit your comment. 🤨
That's a lovely tribute 🦋
The narrator has a great voice, with a slight melodic, soothing quality.
She is very talented
She would be a great narrator of children's books. Very sweet sounding voice.
Definitely does. Such clarity, too.
I dont like her midwestern vowels. Tone is fine but vowels are killing me.
Her voice is caring and soothing...a gift from TMH .
Why isn't this obituary channel in the millions of subscribers? It's the best around!
I agree whole heartedly ❤RIP to all🕊
RIP James Gregory, loved your comedy.
I absolutely love this site. Your voice is so beautiful and soothing, it really suits the tone of the piece. Its so sad seeing all these great people who are leaving us. It makes me very emotional, and also realise that we are only passing through. We have such a short time on this beautiful earth. Thank you so much, Bev (UK) xx 😪💔🙏
Rest in Paradise Dr. Cyril Wecht.
Also, in memory of my beloved mother. She passed over May 22, 2006. My dear mother was a kind and loving woman who was always warm and welcoming to everyone. I look forward to the day that I am with you and Daddy again.
You will.Rev.21:3,4.😌
May they all rest in peace. Always done in a respectful way. Thank you!!
David Sanborn was one of the beasts of mixing jazz with funk, soul,r&b and pop.Voyeur, Backstreet& Close Up are among my favorite albums. Give credit to Marcus Miller & Hiram Bullock for shaping his sound.
I came here to read about David Sanborn and was floored by the news of Cyril Wecht's passing. He was always the smartest person in the room, but he wasn't obnoxious about it. We truly lost a great person. RIP
R. I. P. Dabney Coleman
I saw that on Sat. night live
Thank you again Legacy for another respectful video honoring the great life achievements of our favorite personalities.
If there's music in heaven, they've got one helluva band, and they just gained one of the greatest sax players in their horn section. Rest well, David Sanborn, and thanks for gifting us with your wonderful music.
RIP Roger Corman and Susan Backlinie. Another piece of my past gone. Not a lot left of me.
I loved James Gregory. I watched him at least two or three times and week. I'm quite sad about his passing.
Saw him in person with a few thousand other fans and he was great.
RIP to those who have recently died and thank you for remembering those who passed away through the years. ❤
May they all have eternal peace and rest.
Cyril Wecht and David Sanborn were amazing. I became a medical examiner and Forensic Pathologist because of him. Sanborn was an amazing musician. 🕊️❤️🙏
Cardiac arrest for a 43 year old, that’s had a life of sporting activity? That’s just unbelievable.
rip David Sanborn.. sympathy and condolences to family and friends 💗
Wow....David Sanborn...what a shame. One of the pioneers of Smooth Jazz, back when Smooth Jazz was great before it started sounding like Muzak and Elevator Jazz. What a shame....him and Marcus Miller wrote amazing music that still stands the test of time 40 years later.
David Sanborn inspired me as an alto sax player, studying in the 80's. He played with a sound that brought me into how great a player could sound. Thank you for all the beautiful sound that came from your soul. You are definitely a loss to the performing world!
David Sanborn was not only a great musician but a great guy. I met him several years ago where we enjoyed taking about music together. Such a nice man.
David Sanborn was one of the most talented musicians ❤❤❤ Bless his precious memory, and Bless his family ❤❤❤
Rest in peace James Gregory. Your incredible talent will be missed.
Funny, funny,man
Thank you to Sam Rubin. He was a great reporter. He will always be remembered for his work in Los Angeles.😍
I agree…RIP Sam Rubin…
RIP to all. 🙏 Especially one of my favorite sax players, David Sanborn.
David Sanborn's contributions to the Lethal Weapon movie soundtracks are unforgettable!
RIP Sir! 🙏
Sam Rubin was an amazing reporter with a great sense of humor. RIP
Wow I saw the billboards. I didn't know he pasted
James Gregory was great. Being that funny and being clean takes real talent.
Agreed! Was surprised and saddened when I saw he had passed. May he rest in peace.
Yeah, James Gregory's talent is rare. I can't stand these comedians these days- trash!
David Sandborn and Grover Washington Jr. (whom we lost years ago) were my favorite sax players by far…they have given me countless hours of pleasure that I enjoy to this day….May they rest in peace ❤✌️🙏🏼
Totally agree
I was on my.to work,it was beautiful sunny Sunday morning turn my radio heard Mr.Washington , passed.Right after his Concert in his room,....all that knew him and loved him remark(that's the way He would like it).Wow I had to drop.a tear😢.❤
PeaceOfficers are very important but our Firefighters and EMS professionals are just as vital.
AGREED!🙏
Absolutely!!
May they RIP…
Im sorry to hear abt the deaths of Dr. Cyril Wecht & Dave Sanborn. We had jazz station here in NYC. This is where I became acquainted with his music.
I would also like to acknowledge my mother, who also would've turned 105, this month. She was 2wks younger than Liberace. Her birthday falls on Memorial Day, this yr. She was a lovely woman, a great cook & a loving mother.
RIP mom & God bless you. I hope we meet again. I miss u, everyday.❤❤💐🕊🌺
As usual I appreciate the way you honour people in your reporting. I would love to see an introduction video. That would be very welcome. 🇨🇦🇨🇦
LOVED David Sanborn😢
Aww right to the point. I loved him too!❤😢
I love David Sanborn. I love "DOUBLE VISION!"
I saw James Gregory 3 times. Got an after-show picture with him stashed away somewhere. May he rest in peace.
I appreciate your beautiful obituaries. I'm as old as most of these people, and am always wondering who's still with us. And you have a very pleasant voice to listen to.
Thank you David Sanborn! I loved your music.
David Sanborn also regularly sat in with Paul Shaffer and the World's Most Dangerous Band/The CBS Orchestra on Late Night with David Letterman and Late Show with David Letterman. I grew up watching Roger Corman's films. Corman also produced 1980's Battle Beyond the Stars with Richard Thomas and George Peppard. He also worked on the unreleased 1994 Fantastic Four film.
I didn't watch Letterman often, but if I did, I'd watch from the beginning to see if Sanborn was in the band. I would have to see the entire show just so I could hear his legendary playing ability. He had such a gift!
Rest in peace Dabney Coleman.
Dr. Cyril Wecht, an absolute genius at his craft. I was a huge admirer of his. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family and friends.
I just read that Dave sanborn died. I enjoyed his music immensely.
Sam Rubin brought a little bit of Hollywood into the UK living rooms via his appearances on This Morning and Lorraine.
Corman was a legend. He directed and produced for nearly 70 years and not a single one of his movies ever lost money.
R.I.P. David Sandborn. I enjoyed your music and watched you perform at a jazz feast a few years ago. My condolences to his family.😢
Susie Backlinie was great in the opening scene of Jaws. She was so alluring running down the beach and skinning dipping in the ocean. One of the best classic scenes of the movie!
And her parody of it at the beginning of 1941 is also a classic.
"Hollywood!!!"
Hard to believe 50 years ago. So young, so beautiful, so fun😢
RIP David Sanborn and James Gregory. 💔💐
Bless the memory of all of those who have passed away ❤❤❤
Well said..thank you 🌈🙏❤️
Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May they all Rest in Peace.. 🙏
Rest in Peace David Sanborn. You were the best of the best and your music will be forever timeless. Such a loss in the musical world. You will be missed forever and ever.
I love this Channel. It keeps me updated on famous people who have passed away during the week, anniversaries of deaths or birthdays, as well as military honorees.
Roger Corman, thank you for entertaining me at the drive-in during the 70s.
Oh, so sad to hear of David Sanborn. I have a great picture of David and I when he had come to Hawaii. So sad.
So many fulfilled lives ended, but they will be remembered. Be it from their family and friends,or their fans and co workers. They all had a special talent. This channel forgets nobody and is always respectful and informative ,unlike what the mainstream news often have become. You give us a face to some names we heard, but never actually knew their image. Having lost my closest friend for 33 years ,and probably the love of my life, a month ago,it always touches me to hear from people I knew ,sometimes for decades ,and in one way or another touched my life. Death is part of life, but sometimes,we just don’t want them leave us .
James Gregory was a legend in comedy. If you haven't seen his videos on UA-cam, I highly recommend them
James Gregory was been going down hill for awhile. While I am not too surprised, he will still be so missed. Saw him live way back in the early 90s at a local comedy club and he was SO funny. RIP Jim
May They All Rest In Heavenly Peace, AMEN 🙏 🙏🙏🎆✨️
Sad that James Gregory has died. RIP thanks for all the laughs.
So much loss this month. David Sanborn, MC5 drummer David Thompson (last surviving member) AND creative filmmaker Roger Corman.
I love Mr David Sanborn the dream is one of my favorite going to miss him rest now ❤️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WOW ! David Sanborn Wow ! Legendary 🎶🎶🎶🎷player . Oh Wow !! Legendary King of the B Movie 🎬 Flick's Rodger Corman . and Actor Mark Damon who was in one of Rodger Corman's movies. CONDOLENCES TO ALL FAMILY MEMBERS 🌹
I send Mr Gregorys videos overseas to my friends where i spend the Winters. Vulgarity is frowned upon there and with him they learn a little about Americana . They love him!
Thanks fir all the laughs James, we will miss you😢
I am amazed at how many die from heart attacks and strokes. Some SO young. Thank you for these Legacy videos. Crystal
I have no idea about these people but just watching people around me with their diet, lack of exercise and popping medications I’m surprised there’s not more 😔
I see a dead person with a cigarette or cigar, I wonder why they missed Yul Brynner's warning about the dangers of smoking. Now, vaping is found to be dangerous too.
Sadly it's no mystery to those of us broadly labelled 'conspiracy theorists'. 😥
@@julianalstin7245 I totally agree. The Jabberdoo.
@@julianalstin7245 bad diet.
I saw James Gregory at a comedy club in Birmingham, Alabama in the 80's He was crazy funny!! So here's my tribute to James, (Fill it up!!!) If you have ever seen him doing stand-up comedy from the 80's you will get that!
R.I.P. James Gregory the funniest man in America🙏
I so enjoy watching Legacy. The respectful manner in which you share with us the passing of so many is a blessing. I am saddened that far too many are passing from heart related complication; a significant number still young enough whose lives were taken far too soon. My prayers and condolences to their family, loved ones and friends.
Roger Corman. Many of his most pilloried films 🎥 are now considered classics.
David Sanborn. A great artist who gave joy to millions and kept jazz alive.
Dabney Coleman passed away this week
May God have mercy their Souls and All Souls. Amen.
Thank you as always for the work you do and RIP to all who have died
Thank you Art Jimmerson for teaching us that boxing doesn’t work against grappling. He helped change the martial arts world.
When Liberace ever came to Buffalo, NY , he would go to St. Casimir’s RC Church for Polish cooking by the rectory’s housekeeper and cook.
You forgot about Jerry Yarnell he would paint landscape on t.v. He died May 6. That was really sad news when I found out. I used to watch him on Saturday mornings. 😢
Longtime TSN sports host Darren "Dutchy" Dutchyshen passed at 57. As did Toronto Maple Leaf coach and player on the '67 cup team Ron Ellis. Ellis was also on Team Canada in 1972 summit Series.
Both of your voices have become a great solace when I listen every Friday... so yes, I am looking forward to seeing a face to match the voice in your upcoming event of question and answers...
Sammy Davis : so much more than Candyman.
May they all rest in peace
Happy heavenly birthday to Denver Pyle, Uncle Jesse Duke (May 11, 1920 - December 25, 1997). He was one day younger than my grandpa
David Sanborn is one of my favorite Jazz musicians along side Dave Grusin and Gato Barbieri. Saddened to hear of his passing.
If commentors haven't heard of his music, please check him out. You won't be disappointed.
That's so bizarre that Roger Corman dies and days later Mark Damon passes..
Omgosh, I thought the same thing! Much respect for Roger and Mark! I loved their movies and the men they were! R.I.P.😢
Your obituary video is the best on line, thank you.
I am really looking forward to your upcoming Q&A video! Week after week, this channel does an exemplary job reporting the final milestones of remarkable lives, and it will be such a treat to get to know you a bit better. Great idea!
May all who passed RIP 😪💔🙏
wow ... don't sometimes how old one is until you realize all the people you "grew up with" are dead or dying ....
Rip David Sanborn ❤❤❤❤
Roger Corman's low budget films gave so many great filmmakers and actors their first chances. . He launched enormous talents into illustrious careers.
thank you for all that you folks do
and sleep well all those that we have lost this week
Susan's screams and being thrashed about, still haunts Moviegoer's dreams.
