Could we also talk about the fact that blow off sounds are based off of throttle input and not how much pressure there is. I've had it where I would be at -12 psi and just very slowly coming off the throttle and all of the sudden I'll get this loud STU STU STU STU STU STU for no reason.

Horizon 5's car sounds are less agressive because they feel like they're in an open world. Driving around Guanajuato or through the canyons or a tunnel will have louder sounds due to the sound bouncing off the environment, while it normally would just radiate through the environment when driving through the desert or highway. This is also why cars sound louder and more agressive on the upgrade screen when compared to the sounds on the open road.
The fact that there are still some people disagreeing in the comments meant that the car sounds has indeed improved alot, but it will be 283737% better if a zonda cinque sounds like a zonda cinque
and if we mention it in tweets that upload them to make it easier to see them? I don't know if they take the time to look for the video, I would be willing to stay 2 weeks without fh5 for better sounds
The fact that I finally disagree with some of the suggestions in a sound video shows how far the game has come But the E46/350Z switch still being a thing is a little silly, that should have been a pre-release fix

EVERY VR6 VW sounds absolutely disgusting, ive owned multiple modified VR6 cars and they all sounded really good, in forza they ruined one of the best sounding 6 cylinder engines in the world, also, the VR6 engine sounds like garbage in every forza game, every single one, they need to make a new sound file from scratch and stop reusing things that sound bad from past games
1:52 pretty sure they gave the CCGT the Jesko sound and vice-versa. Jesko is a flat plane crank IRL, while the CCGT should sound like any other contemporary 'egg with a cross plane (just with a race exhaust because obviously). Similar situation to the E46 / Z33.

right now FCA Italy [Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Abarth] are undergoing a massive company shift similar to what was happening with Mitsubishi during fh4's release meaning that whenever they get their shit together playground can just re-send the licencing request (as there wasn't anybody to facilitate saying yes to anything due to the massive shuffle) and port whatever they want across from fh4 or add new stuff

The issue is that a lot of people want every car to sound like Fast and Furious. The RX-7and the R34 honestly sounds fine as it is I'd honestly say the same about the E60. Honestly the EB110 sounds more accurate than FH2. The EB 110 is supposed to have a deeper rumble rather than a scream but It does need improvement. I think we can all agree that the zondas need work though.

Assetto Corsa r34 GTR sounds better but like a single turbo mod, you can download twin turbo sound for ac . Forza disappointed me that even the new game has so many problems. Rx7 sounds a bit tuned the real sound is like a muffled 2 stroke and you get a sort of whine sound
Honestly most cars sound real good, I'm just disappointed about certain Ferrari's. The FXXK barely sounds like it should, not to mention the upcoming FXXK Evo. I hope they'll look into it and eventually fix them up.
The fxx sounds bad too. Its the same engine like the fxx k. So how did it soubd awesome? The engine sound is totaly wrong. It's not exaggerated. That's how high performance superchargers should sound in the game. The Diablo might be a little too loud but the Mercedes is perfect
DUDE the suspension flex idea is amazing! I really think that could go a long way to make some of the supercars feel so much more real. that clip from PC3 was so cool to watch, the car felt like 1 and a half ton monster and not like a toy like how most of the supercars in horizon feel
Funnily enough, the 350z from Heat Unite 3 is actually the one from NFSU2 ported to Unite 3, impressive how some sounds from such an old game can stil throw down with the new sounds
P1 in FH5 does not sound realistic at all. They killed it with the 918, but the P1 does not sound right. The Zonda Cinque is not even close to real life Cinque sound. They probably used an old original Zonda S for it, which is a shame. They don't sound alike at all. The Ferrari Monza sounds like an Aventador with a higher pitch.. which like... Why? Lol. And they absolutely brutalized the CGT in FH5. I don't even want to drive it because the sound is so disappointing.
It made me sad when the eb110 first came out as dlc for fh2 and I adored how it sounded and drove it purely for that, only to find that irl it sounded like any other still-glorious-but-not-as-much v12
I'd honestly say the Z4 sounds pretty accurate! Ive heard quite a few B58s with aftermarket exhausts that sound like an RB! I don't think they should change it. Even the original B58 has the same pitch as an RB except it has a loud rasp/burble to it.
Same with the m2. As an m2 owner since 2016, I’ve never understood how people think the fh3 sound is good. It sounds so incredibly unlike an m2. It’s actually the one thing that put me off driving it more in fh3. Although the fh5 sound is the s55 from the m2 competition, it sounds amazingly realistic to the m2 comp!
@@williampowell9013 Igy the original N55 sounds very similar to a B58 (I personally think it sounds like a mix between a 2JZ, AMC 4.0, and an Aston Martin V12). U could even make an N55 sound like an RB if u use the correct exhaust system

The X6M uses S63b44T0,and the M5 F10 uses the basic version of S63) If you listen carefully,you would have understand that the F90 sounds different with others. Btw in Fh5,X5 and X6 don't sound accurate. But the F90 isn't bad. Still not as goos as Nfs heat's sound. However it sounds 100% better than what it was in Fh4. Cheers 🍻
Not sure about the 240sx sound. The Heat/Payback s13 uses an SR20DET (cuz it’s the 180sx type x) while the 240sx s13 uses the KA24DE (These came in the US S13s) I think the KA in FH5 could be better but I think it’s fine. Prostreet I think had a better KA24 sound.
Fh5 car sounds is absolute crap every one of them like the vw golf r sounds like a vacuum cleaner than in fh4 maybe better than fh4 but one of the car sounds is worse, silent and not like an actual car even asseto corsa can do a billion times better
I think the gt3 rs in fh5 sounds the most athentic out of all the games shown. The shifts match perfectly and it sounds like a proper flat 6 considering the fact that a gt3 rs doesnt sounds very raw because of emission regulations. I think they did the gt3 rs brilliant.
It would be great if they add an option like you can hear the car sound from the inside of the car while your viewing the car from outside view or just put an EQ option in the game so let the people tune it by themselves.
Ya know sometimes I think we ask too much of the developers in the time frame they had. They did a pretty damn good job with the time they had. But ya know I do agree with the point that some of the sounds do need an overhaul but it can’t be the entirety of the game. 😂
The Zonda C has a sound file bug in FH3 After upgrading the engine parts on the car the engine’s pitch drops. To fix this, swap out of the car and back in it, and it will be a lot higher pitched than shown in the video👍

The Rx7 needs to sound more raw if yknow what I mean. The brapbrap should be louder when the car is modded. Idk why they're so shy to make the rotary sound powerful and it needs the anti-lag. It sounds way better than FH4 tho no cap 😂
The Hondas definitely need a rework, it sounds way too raspy from the back and the vtec kick isn't that loud, I think forza horizon 2 and 3 had the best honda sounds especially 2 and the motorsport 4,5 and 6 had then great too, they also need to make the subies faster, much faster the evos just eat them alive even at similar power , the game is great I love it but they need to give some of the supercars a rest and work on the older 90s to early 2000s JDM cars
I know im late, fh4 and fh5 car sounds, fh5s especially, miss out on the loudness and rawness of the real life Cars, which is the reason why most people prefer fh1/fh2/fh3s sounds over the new ones. for example, the zonda r sounds terrible in fh5, but absolutely amazing in fh1. other examples are the r33 in fh3, m3 v8 in fh2, gumpert apollo in fh1, and ultima gtr in fh1 and 2. however, fh5/fh4 have some great sounds, such as the f1 in fh4 after the update, lfa in fh4 and fh5, and the lotus 3/11 in fh5.
Small correction. Skyline R34 in Grid is Z-Tune, that means it have Engine based on GT2/GT500 car and 2.8l displacement. In FH5 you can actually tune exhaust to get similar sound ;)
It's just so interesting that people were disappointed with FH4 sounds so Turn 10 studios recorded real cars on a drag strip both idle and accelerating with lots of sound equipment, despite all that, people still find some "bad sounding cars" within the FH5. We, as humans are ridiculous sometimes.
Some of the car sound that don't sound good on stock can be fixed with the exhaust, intake, and cams (if the rpm scream is not right) upgrades if they are available to make them sound closer to real life. This is a very subjective video I agree on some but I do not on others, I still appreciate your suggestions and effort though. Overall I'm just happy the car sounds in FH5 are amazing even with the massive car list of the game.
Seriously though, the E34 in FH5, although it sounds unrealistic, look up the sounds for them, all it needs is a good off throttle noise and some intake noise.
The P1 has been my favorite car since about 2015, and im only 14 years old. I've never played Asetto but i can say the p1 sound is almost uncanny. The high RPMs are a bit muffled, but for the most part it's bang on. It's always been painfulltat forza has never really gotten the p1 sound right. Fh5 is the closest they've got, but my personal favorite sound for the p1 in a racing game is nfs heat. The rev rangeis perfect, not too low or high, and with some tweaking,it has become one of my favorite car sounds in any video game. That might just be a bit biased tho :)
at least you have some critical point of view about this, and you highlight it , average people always say that the nailed them or that they are perfect when some of them are not even close to the real one, not even a bit.
While the e46 M3 is not perfect, I do enjoy the sound with the right mods. An exhaust upgrade +1 with a big turbo And air box upgrade +1= HPF turbo M3. I can tell they used the HPF e46 sound file for the turbo e46
With the eb110 supersport it's also quad turbocharged irl so it would be nice if they could get the 3.5 litre v12 sound right aswell as the quad turbos.
Can we talk about the issue where the sound just randomly muffles when you switch to a different car sometimes?? I don't think anyone else has mentioned it or even made a video on it but I know others are also having this problem.
while the amg gtr is more realistic in fh5, it still needs to be more throaty and a bit deeper. if you go listen to what it actually sounds like stock its not as bad as in game
The Honda nsx-r 92' with race exhaust has now the sound file of the E46 M3. The M3 E46 still has the V6 sound tho. But the Fairlady sound is fixed now. I feel like they mixed up all i6' and v6' sounds.
am i the only one who thinks that the mk4 supra needs a whole sound update for stock, sport and race exhaust? The stock exhaust sounds too aggressive, the sport exhaust is a copied sound file from the r34 and the race exhaust is way too raspy
whilst i like the fh2 countach sound, it doesn't fit a countach all that much. it sounds more like a flat 12 to my ears. and the fh2 laferrari doesn't sound like a laferrari in the slightest. fh5 did it better in that regard. the mw12 zonda r just uses a zonda f sound and it has none of the tone of the real car. a much better example is grid 2019's zonda r sound. the carrera gt sound is a straight pipe file, but idk why they didn't record a stock exhaust one at least. you can't compare the 240sx and 180sx when the 2 have a different engine (180sx in payback has a sr20, while the 240sx has a ka24 iirc)
Couple things, for one; every four cylinder in the game could use a lot of work, Mitsubishi 4G63, Nissan SR20 cars, and some FWD cars all share the same sound. Also, GTRs have VRs not VQs.

FH2 is just something we won't have in FH ever again. Yes, FH5 is way better then FH4 in car sounds, but even if its double better, FH2 is 6 times better then all of them, so It still has a long way to go... We can all sit and say FH5 sounded much better than FH4 and vice Versa. But let’s not forget that forza motorsport 1 and 2 hand some of the best sounds out there. Even better than what we have nowadays. Especially the countach. That thing sounded absolutely nuts in motorsport 3
What I dont like is that when you turbocharge a car, sometimes you get the spool sound and sometimes you dont. They also dont sound realistic and are too quiet. Its a shame! Listen to a 1000 HP irl car with a turbo and listen to it in game... Some cars like the VR6 golf and corrado definitely deserve a better sound. Overall, after playing for a while, I notice that many cars just sound the same.

stop comparing sounds you hear on the internet (and in many cases inside garages) with how the sound actually works when you hear it from the back of the car speeding in the open. If you really want to "improve sounds" the only reasonable thing to do is check the interior sound and cross test it with reality.

Yes, in those movies, sound reacts to each kind of different surroundings. Games haven't come that far yet, sound wise, only graphically

DUDE the suspension flex idea is amazing! I really think that could go a long way to make some of the supercars feel so much more real. that clip from PC3 was so cool to watch, the car felt like 1 and a half ton monster and not like a toy like how most of the supercars in horizon feel

P1 in FH5 does not sound realistic at all. They killed it with the 918, but the P1 does not sound right. The Zonda Cinque is not even close to real life Cinque sound. They probably used an old original Zonda S for it, which is a shame. They don't sound alike at all. The Ferrari Monza sounds like an Aventador with a higher pitch.. which like... Why? Lol. And they absolutely brutalized the CGT in FH5. I don't even want to drive it because the sound is so disappointing.
I actually made two sound mods for FH3... I love that game. FH5 good too tho.
Only thing to worry about is tho, I made the mod for the DevBuild. I have to test it for a retail version too at some point...
I recently watched a Dyno Test video for the EB110, and believe it or not, the FH5 Sound is actually almost accurate compared to FH2’s Sound.
It made me sad when the eb110 first came out as dlc for fh2 and I adored how it sounded and drove it purely for that, only to find that irl it sounded like any other still-glorious-but-not-as-much v12
the Bugatti sound is miles better in fh4, it rumbles harder and clearer
I'd honestly say the Z4 sounds pretty accurate! Ive heard quite a few B58s with aftermarket exhausts that sound like an RB! I don't think they should change it. Even the original B58 has the same pitch as an RB except it has a loud rasp/burble to it.

Same with the m2. As an m2 owner since 2016, I’ve never understood how people think the fh3 sound is good. It sounds so incredibly unlike an m2. It’s actually the one thing that put me off driving it more in fh3. Although the fh5 sound is the s55 from the m2 competition, it sounds amazingly realistic to the m2 comp!

@@williampowell9013 Igy the original N55 sounds very similar to a B58 (I personally think it sounds like a mix between a 2JZ, AMC 4.0, and an Aston Martin V12). U could even make an N55 sound like an RB if u use the correct exhaust system

The x5m and x6m have the same engine as the f90 m5 but sound different, they also need to be updated

@@4xbuu They might share the similar engine but they don't sound the same in real world.(Also the F90 uses the newest version of S63,which is called S63b44T4. The X6M uses S63b44T0,and the M5 F10 uses the basic version of S63)
If you listen carefully,you would have understand that the F90 sounds different with others. Btw in Fh5,X5 and X6 don't sound accurate.
But the F90 isn't bad. Still not as goos as Nfs heat's sound. However it sounds 100% better than what it was in Fh4.

Not sure about the 240sx sound. The Heat/Payback s13 uses an SR20DET (cuz it’s the 180sx type x) while the 240sx s13 uses the KA24DE (These came in the US S13s) I think the KA in FH5 could be better but I think it’s fine. Prostreet I think had a better KA24 sound.

I think the gt3 rs in fh5 sounds the most athentic out of all the games shown. The shifts match perfectly and it sounds like a proper flat 6 considering the fact that a gt3 rs doesnt sounds very raw because of emission regulations. I think they did the gt3 rs brilliant.

It would be great if they add an option like you can hear the car sound from the inside of the car while your viewing the car from outside view or just put an EQ option in the game so let the people tune it by themselves.

Ya know sometimes I think we ask too much of the developers in the time frame they had. They did a pretty damn good job with the time they had. But ya know I do agree with the point that some of the sounds do need an overhaul but it can’t be the entirety of the game. 😂
The M3 GTR needs the sound file from NFS: Most Wanted or Carbon.
The BMW E28 m5 has the exact same sound file as the Aston Db5. I think the E34 M5 also does
FH1 Diablo, and FH3 RB26 motors were the 2 best sounding vehicles.
The Zonda C has a sound file bug in FH3
After upgrading the engine parts on the car the engine’s pitch drops. To fix this, swap out of the car and back in it, and it will be a lot higher pitched than shown in the video👍

The p1 sounds horrible in fh5, it literally gets the wrong exhaust sounds thats why forza games have terrible sounds, even GTAV destroyed the trash forza horizon 5 car sounds, along with asseto corsa
The Rx7 needs to sound more raw if yknow what I mean. The brapbrap should be louder when the car is modded. Idk why they're so shy to make the rotary sound powerful and it needs the anti-lag. It sounds way better than FH4 tho no cap 😂
The Hondas definitely need a rework, it sounds way too raspy from the back and the vtec kick isn't that loud, I think forza horizon 2 and 3 had the best honda sounds especially 2 and the motorsport 4,5 and 6 had then great too, they also need to make the subies faster, much faster the evos just eat them alive even at similar power , the game is great I love it but they need to give some of the supercars a rest and work on the older 90s to early 2000s JDM cars

The Pagani Zonda uses the sound from the OG Zonda C12 which is why it sounds so muted, the Zonda F in PGR4 made the same mistake.
For the carrera GT just take the LFA sound and mix it a little different would be my suggestion to the devs

I know im late, fh4 and fh5 car sounds, fh5s especially, miss out on the loudness and rawness of the real life Cars, which is the reason why most people prefer fh1/fh2/fh3s sounds over the new ones. for example, the zonda r sounds terrible in fh5, but absolutely amazing in fh1. other examples are the r33 in fh3, m3 v8 in fh2, gumpert apollo in fh1, and ultima gtr in fh1 and 2.
however, fh5/fh4 have some great sounds, such as the f1 in fh4 after the update, lfa in fh4 and fh5, and the lotus 3/11 in fh5.
Small correction. Skyline R34 in Grid is Z-Tune, that means it have Engine based on GT2/GT500 car and 2.8l displacement. In FH5 you can actually tune exhaust to get similar sound ;)
It's just so interesting that people were disappointed with FH4 sounds so Turn 10 studios recorded real cars on a drag strip both idle and accelerating with lots of sound equipment, despite all that, people still find some "bad sounding cars" within the FH5. We, as humans are ridiculous sometimes.
Some of the car sound that don't sound good on stock can be fixed with the exhaust, intake, and cams (if the rpm scream is not right) upgrades if they are available to make them sound closer to real life. This is a very subjective video I agree on some but I do not on others, I still appreciate your suggestions and effort though. Overall I'm just happy the car sounds in FH5 are amazing even with the massive car list of the game.
Seriously though, the E34 in FH5, although it sounds unrealistic, look up the sounds for them, all it needs is a good off throttle noise and some intake noise.
The P1 has been my favorite car since about 2015, and im only 14 years old. I've never played Asetto but i can say the p1 sound is almost uncanny. The high RPMs are a bit muffled, but for the most part it's bang on. It's always been painfulltat forza has never really gotten the p1 sound right. Fh5 is the closest they've got, but my personal favorite sound for the p1 in a racing game is nfs heat. The rev rangeis perfect, not too low or high, and with some tweaking,it has become one of my favorite car sounds in any video game. That might just be a bit biased tho :)
at least you have some critical point of view about this, and you highlight it , average people always say that the nailed them or that they are perfect when some of them are not even close to the real one, not even a bit.
They need the sounds from forza motorsport 6 for the gt350 it sounds amazing in that game and in this game it sounds like the gt
While the e46 M3 is not perfect, I do enjoy the sound with the right mods. An exhaust upgrade +1 with a big turbo And air box upgrade +1= HPF turbo M3. I can tell they used the HPF e46 sound file for the turbo e46
I'm stiil a Die-Hard NFS fan to avoid Cranial hemorrhaging from Forza's atrocious car sounds.
With the eb110 supersport it's also quad turbocharged irl so it would be nice if they could get the 3.5 litre v12 sound right aswell as the quad turbos.

The Honda nsx-r 92' with race exhaust has now the sound file of the E46 M3. The M3 E46 still has the V6 sound tho. But the Fairlady sound is fixed now. I feel like they mixed up all i6' and v6' sounds.

am i the only one who thinks that the mk4 supra needs a whole sound update for stock, sport and race exhaust? The stock exhaust sounds too aggressive, the sport exhaust is a copied sound file from the r34 and the race exhaust is way too raspy

whilst i like the fh2 countach sound, it doesn't fit a countach all that much. it sounds more like a flat 12 to my ears. and the fh2 laferrari doesn't sound like a laferrari in the slightest. fh5 did it better in that regard. the mw12 zonda r just uses a zonda f sound and it has none of the tone of the real car. a much better example is grid 2019's zonda r sound. the carrera gt sound is a straight pipe file, but idk why they didn't record a stock exhaust one at least. you can't compare the 240sx and 180sx when the 2 have a different engine (180sx in payback has a sr20, while the 240sx has a ka24 iirc)
Couple things, for one; every four cylinder in the game could use a lot of work, Mitsubishi 4G63, Nissan SR20 cars, and some FWD cars all share the same sound. Also, GTRs have VRs not VQs.
i dont mind about the car sounds i just want propper turbo sounds 😂i mean what we have isnt to bad but i mean the upgraded toyota supra with that turbo sound i mean comon thats just not it im not saying its the worst because forza did put in the efford to atleast make the toyota supra sound like a very good car but if the turbo sounds can just be improved to more realistic onces the game would be perfect for me

FH2 is still the best sounding Horizon game, I think there will no longer be another Horizon game that surpasses it… FH5 has decent car sounds but they’re not amazing
FH2 is just something we won't have in FH ever again. Yes, FH5 is way better then FH4 in car sounds, but even if its double better, FH2 is 6 times better then all of them, so It still has a long way to go... Its like people that worked on FH2 are fired and they hired WRONG people to do sounds on later games

What I dont like is that when you turbocharge a car, sometimes you get the spool sound and sometimes you dont. They also dont sound realistic and are too quiet. Its a shame! Listen to a 1000 HP irl car with a turbo and listen to it in game... Some cars like the VR6 golf and corrado definitely deserve a better sound. Overall, after playing for a while, I notice that many cars just sound the same.

stop comparing sounds you hear on the internet (and in many cases inside garages) with how the sound actually works when you hear it from the back of the car speeding in the open. If you really want to "improve sounds" the only reasonable thing to do is check the interior sound and cross test it with reality.

RTR mustang #25 doesn't have same sound as RTR mustang #88 and it is the same car IRL and in game lol The good sound is on #88 on my opinion , this is the most closest same sound IRL .
