As someone who’s recorded car sounds for 13 years, TDU wins by far. No competition, they use the same techniques as sound modders for AC pretty much. Way more realistic sound design and atmosphere to the car sounds.
FH5 uses both granular synthesis and loops in their sound design. TDUSC only uses granular synthesis, which can lead to the sounds sounding mechanical and robotic at constant RPMs.
TDU have a lot bassy sounds, same as The Crew Motorfest, it sounds like I'm 50 meters away from the car. Forza to me have a lot more realistic sounds and it's natural, it have balance in frequencies. I also hate some things in Forza but in sounds I only hate duplicity with only small EQ difference.
FH5 has 900+ car sounds, interior, exterior, engine, exhaust - you can modify the sounds of the intake, exhaust, turbos, superchargers and the RPMs. It has the best cockpit sounds of any game out there on the market. In chase the sounds are less good, but there are still a lot of phenomenal sounding cars even in chase. TDU SC has some opkay sounding cars, but nothing out of this world. Nothing so far that compares with Horizon's LFA, the Lambo Essenza, the T50, the Valkyrie, etc. FH5 absolutely smashes TDU SC in audio terms.

They have 60 of them that are real but everything is copy and paste, all engine swaps sound the same , all turbos sound the same , all superchargers , all turbo chargers sound the same on every car etc when that wouldn’t be the case in real life , same goes for exhaust sounds . The exhaust sounds are all the same on every car compare to real life where there are endless exhaust sounds/pops/ bangs/backfire and forza definitely doesn’t have the best sounds you are wild . Intake sounds are terrible, blow off valve sounds are all the same , intercooler doesn’t change the sound at all but in real life it would . With that said 75% of the cars sound nothing like what they sound in real life and even the rev limiter is horrendous sounding not realistic at all. the best realistic car sounds from any game would be assetto corsa . Only thing forza is good for is there physics

TDU gets unnecessary hatred online....it looks good, plays good, has a great map layout, has decent sound design and most importantly, has a career mode with proper pacing and sense of progression unlike FH5.....all they need to do is improve optimization, chasecame and lighting

I was really excited for TDU when it was first announced. I am a big fan of the original. But what I have seen so far is very underwhelming. Very mild graphics, smaller island, and many of the best TDU gameplay elements are completely missing.
LMAO get out of here. Tdu sc has 200km more roads than fh5 and many of tdu's features are STILL there such as dealerships, garages, frim, car features, clan clubs, etc.
Tbh it’s not that the graphics are bad, it’s the car models lacking proper reflections and ray tracing with the environment. That will be fixed in the future since the environment actually looks just as good as forza

@@Rustic_3851 I played the first beta. The handling was actually slightly better back then. Since then it's gotten worse, and in the demo it's just terrible. You cannot drift, the cars just grip up straight away, and the cars handle like shopping trolleys. The handling is 80-90% of a car game for me so I'm disappointed.
Physics, graphics and overall normal features Will go to horizon 5 without a doubt. But what really brings down horizon is the map and the progression, as good as horizon is, it has the worst map by any open world racing game sadly,
I'll enjoy TDU1 and TDU2 more than I can enjoy FH1-FH5. The maps are so boring and it still misses features an old 2006 game had while also being a 1:1 sized map of a real island. Back in the day, earlier Horizon games kept my interest and I'd play all the time. 4 and 5 comes out, and within the first couple weeks, all career or story races are done, roads all discovered, and majority of everything else is about done, but by then, I'm losing interest. It just feels the same as previous games. I like going to casinos in TDU, driving to dealerships for new cars, or to test them out, the amount of interior options in cars, driving to clothes shops to customize my character more, buying houses with their own garage capacity, personalizing hlthe furniture in my houses, being able to drive with a friend in the passenger seat while I play and he just chills and watches in that seat, rolling windows up or down or the convertible top up or down, and the use of turn signals. All these things add to the immersion, which I love about TDU1 and 2, and most of it coming back in TDSC. Not to mention, a real map with much more depth than the Horizon games and it's open wasteland.
