Maus doing surprisingly above the team: Enemy is Dumb enough to be defeated by a team of Traffic cones, Maus team is one of Traffic cones and ONE moving Pillbox with tracks The simplified version: Maus does okay to well only if enemy makes MANY mistakes and your team is okay to decent vs said foes....
Unless you can play the maus. I once had a game where it was me vs 4 of the enemy team left. 2 of them had killed almost my entire team, and the other 2 had good stats in the tanks they were playing. The fuel lasted until the end of them game (I was sitting inside our point, restocking ammo) they were very nice to talk to, and were pretty friendly people.
I don't understand why gaijin decided to point the smoke grenade launcher backward, it's absurd. The real-life grenade launcher (Nahverteidigungswaffe) with a 92mm caliber was created for close combat and *_ROTATED_* 360 degrees, firing different types of ammunition, not just smoke. It could launch colored flares in addition to a fairly destructive anti-infantry shrapnel grenade. with freshly buffed 232 of curved frontal armor it is really fun to play against tanks with conventional ammo. Poor is3-4m, they can't do shit now even if maus isn't angled properly.

I dont know if they have it in game but the maus actually had a sabot round with over 4,100 fps and the ability to pierce 9 inch thick armor at 1,000 meters (or more then 1,000 i dont fully remember)
Remember the angleing part. Many tank destroyer's can cause harm. Even the m-18 can pierce the side, although it has to be close range, and the ammo causes poor damage, and if there is absolutely no explosive ammo stored, all it an do is keep the maus spinning it's turret, as the driver, engine, and transmission all slowly get destroyed.

Maus is Big, so you need to deploy a smoke screen to the dead corner when turning, especially the 6 shots of smoke projected backwards, which is very effective against the enemy coming from behind. The smoke shell of the 75mm gun is the best cover for Maus. 1. It can provide good blockade for atgm & sniper points 2. The effective time of smoke is the same as the loading time of the 128mm main gun 3. Can also provide cover when teammates are repairing
I really think u missed something on the MAUS to that extent e100 too. If the enemy has the slightest amount of brain functionality they shoot the barrel. And if they don't anything at 7.3+ can basically pen u angled or not and that's ignoring the 6.7 heat guns. Or a Conway with 360mm pen apds angled or not your going to die. And on that same note I've been killed far to many times due to shottrap angled or not. In my book the MAUS is overtiered, it has indeed 232mm armor where it matter but as it's contemporary on the Brits or American side have superior armor especially the turret as theirs can go from 300-400+mm and their gun compared to the MAUS has 90-110mm more pen and they have a 5 sec shorter reload. And actual mobility I personally think they should not be same BR. This same story goes for the is4m

So instead of taking it out why they didnt just put it in 6.7, 7.0? A good amount of tanks at this BR got HEAT-FS so the armor isnt that scary, and there are still tanks with conventional ammo to play the armor meta with our boy
Something I don't see people mention often, is that the Maus REALLY benefits from you using the Manual Transmission mode. It can do everything from allow you to get a couple more KM/H on a hill, to, more importantly, allowing you to make quicker turns (by keeping it in 5th or 6th gear, reverse once you get the hang of it seems even quicker to make turns). This has saved my butt from what WOULD have been a potential death for me from a flanker.
i love the fact that even when they close the distance with you and they get to close, you can run them over or at least drive into them and pin them for teammates.

I like using my T28/T95 against the Maus. At least in Custom Battles. The Maus can't pen my frontal plate, but I can pen his turret cheeks.
Not anymore. It’s new round has about 310mm of pen which can pierce the front in some spots quite easily
