Man I'm always catching these videos before the minute! ;)
ST sounds amazing btw! Love it man keep it up.
Hey thanks for being early every time!!! I am stoked on how the ST sounds, Cobb did an amazing job with that kit. I'm gonna do my best to keep bringing fresh content, you gotta keep watching man!
thanks for the video, man. as a new ST owner and also as someone who isn't as familiar with what all of these awesome extras can do, it was good to see just a very basic video like this. the accessport is on my list!
awesome man! i'm running a muffler delete, green filter and cobb ap on my 2014 st3 and i freaking love it!! great work, keep up the awesome videos. it's great to see how passionate you are!!
+KalonJB sounds like you have a nice little build going on brother! I love cars, it's easy for me to be passionate and excited about it. Glad you can catch that vibe from my videos. 👊🏻
Install a boomba bov
just got my accessport today... and omg the difference between stock and the stage one tune is insane, the car feels so much more responsive, and i love that i can record all of my temperatures and different pressures with this as well to make sure everything is running well
TheBeastlyBeaver hey im a newby want to know what stage should i set it for my focus, i have intake, full exhaust and down pipe?
You need a FMIC
Most people monitor ignition correction on a couple cylinders, or all 4. This lets you know if the car is pulling timing due to detecting knock. If you see consistent, negative corrections that's usually not a good sign. The tune could be too aggressive, or you could simply have bad gas.
Thanks Michael, always looking to better monitor the car to insure no harm is being done. Good looking out bro.
How about inter-cooler temps? Can it show that?
@ben it can monitor charge temps, so basically yea
Just subscribed! I just bought a Cobb cat back exhaust and Accessport is next!
+Boostedmk3 ST nice dude! How much do you love the Cobb Cat-Back?! It's such a great sounding exhaust! You will love having the Accessport with all of the capabilities of it.
It adds so much character to the car! It was wayyy too quiet from factory. I love the exhaust and I'm sure with the accessport running the OTS stage 1 tune I'll be pleasantly surprised!
Are you at all worried about voiding the cars warenty?
Colton Happy if your worried dont do it, but most people that buy these type of cars dont care about voiding the warrenty
with my sct xcal 4 on my mustang i have it keeping an eye on throttle angle actual, command afr in lambda and actual afr in lamdba on bank 1 and 2 (tells me if its going rich or lean relative to what the tune is telling the car to do), spark timing, and coolant temp
Nice install dude, Cobb access port is already in the mail from CJ Pony Parts, already have Roush Cold Ari intake, Roush Cat Back Exhaust, NGK cold stage plugs, and MSD ignition coil packs installed. Looking forward to giving it a COBB tune. Thanks for your insight prior to install!
+Andrew Vardell sounds like you have quit the setup planned man! I am loving the Cobb AP and it's ability to monitor virtually every aspect of the car. Plus their team is A+ at customer service. You won't be disappointed man.
In the past, I've had extra gauges and all sorts of crap to monitor. I've never been in a situation that I needed to actually look at those, or that they have helped me other than when dialing in a tune.
AccessPort just gets in the way so I just leave mine buried in the back of the closet at the house. I pull it out as needed to flash tunes or to check codes.
Have you ever had any issues I’m worried because I want the access port but it’ll void my drivetrain warrenty but I’ve seen no one having much issues due to it
Cylinder correction 1 and 4
Hi, this is just for focus ST or for all focus series?
Wonder what do u call this advice will it work on a 08 st225 mk2
Late.. but you should be monitoring
Intake Air Temps (IAT)
Air Fuel Ratio (AFR)
Boost Pressure
Knock Ignition Correction
seth alton he should actually be monitoring actual afr and desired afr and short n long.term.fuel terms
Can you install one of these ST tuners on a regular Ford Fiesta Sedan?
No only the st
Ok I'm here looking for help. I have a 13 focus st3. umm, short shift plate, mbrp cat back and an intake nothing crazy. I want the access port and a tune but I still have a warranty and I am afraid to lose it. The car has overall been reliable I just am worried of pushing my luck. everyone says it changed the entire car, but is it worth it?
I’m in the same position as you were in when you commented this lol. Did you end up getting one?
So if you add an intake, exhaust let's just say. Can you use that access port to add this 2 parts to the ecu?or this is just to monitor gauges?
You can use the Access Port to tune the ecu with those parts.
@@moostang09 wurd? Nice 👍🏼 I'll look into this soon. Thanks
quick question I'm new to the channel but are you done with mustang videos
+Von tV no way man! Got one coming out next week!
moostang09 good cause I'm trying to get a 13/14 mustang GT and so far this the only channel I actually like that deal with the model car that I want soooo I'm looking forward to it!!!!
How do you get it connected initially with a push button system?
With one push and the foot off the brake I believe. That should turn accessory on.
Is this specifically for the Focus? Can you use it in the Mustang as well? Is it a one accessport per car or does it know you have changed vehicles? Can you "create" and error to troubleshoot just to show how it reacts?
I believe these are car specific as they have OTS or Off The Shelf Tunes pre-installed so that leads me to believe they are car specific.
This is specifically for Focus/Fiesta but there are other versions popular for WRX, Mazdaspeed, etc. You have to marry the accessport to the car but it can be unmarried for any reason. Just know if you buy a used one you run the risk that it's married to a car already. If it is married to another car, it won't work on yours.
Did you feel any difference in performance? I just bought a 2017 ST and was wondering if its worth 500$ for the Accessport
Yes, worth it
What’s the anti-thef mode ????????!!!! Someone pls
Carb legal?
hey if there is a chance to mess up the engine if not set up properly?
Yeah only if you take the ap out of your obd2 port before it is done installing other than that should be fine
Bpv venting under partial throttle, after installing stage 1 93 ots , very annoying 🤨
J S I think a stratified tune will fix that. Same thing happens to me, I just ordered the stratified tune, so we’ll see.
Click bait no kill tune
fyi the tune menu is not to tune it yourself. its to switch/load tunes and also change traction control/ffs or lC if applicable
I thought you could do your own tunes if you purchased the software?
You can if you get atr. But he said the tune menu on the ap is for doing your own, which it is not.
hmmm id be hesitant on installing somthing named "kill" tune lol.
Lol!!!
get out of my head
just unbox and install a stage 1 tune. fuck it install the stage 3 tune bruh.
wut mods u got? Sunoco racing stickers and Cobb AP with a 'universal Stage 1 tune'
I'm sure you'll have no problems down the road 'Sir keep tunin #fastfurious
Says nothing on how to give more power
Not gonna be racing this car............a ton🤣🤣
"Kill tune" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 epic clickbait
R.I.P. in peace your warranty.
