I like it!! 😂😂
The Migrant Chef sounds wonderful. Just passed the 25% mark of The Count of Monte Cristo. I'm listening and reading. Surprise, surprise the edition I'm reading and the one I'm listening to are slightly different. Makes for an interesting experience. I'm loving it. Its my big book for the summer. I was really hesitant to give up the time it might take but once started I can barely put it down (I have to because it is so heavy LOL). but am loving it and now 300+ pages in, know I will continue. Can't wait to hear the next podcast. Always happy to see you two ladies on UA-cam. Favorite book of May was Bright Young Women. So, so unputdownable.
Fridays and the Book Cougars!! What could be better!
Thanks, Cathy!
I’ve always loved Willa Cather.
I love how her novels "grow" with you as a reader. Those that I've reread several times have meant different things to me in different decades of my life. Have you read all of her novels or are there some you're looking forward to getting to? -- Chris
@@BookCougars Chris, I looked up her novels and it looks like she wrote nine of them -- I've only read two (O Pioneers! and My Ántonia). Of the rest, One of Ours sounds really interesting.
Friday Reads comes and goes so quickly! 😔 sigh - I’ve just finished The Frozen River. On to How to Read a Book and The Guest (maid sequel) this weekend. Happy 📚🐾
It does! It makes keeping up with comments a challenge. Three great reads there.
I have had the first Maisie Dobbs book on my Kindle since I've had a Kindle and never got to it. Now that the series is finished, I feel it might be time to start it!
It's nice to know what you're getting into. The series was a favorite of my MIL's (this is Chris). I tried the first one when it came out and thought it was okay. I've been meaning to read more in the series based on how much my MIL and others love it, but you know how those reading plans go. 🙄
