Great video! I did this challenge a long while back and now am half tempted to retry it. It's interesting to see how you did a similar challenge and see someone elses thought process on a similar challenge!
just as a small note, if you ever did want to use faith to cast spells the catalyst you want is staff of the guilty which is normally used for thorn sorceries but scales exclusively off of faith.
This was a nice run. You could've gotten an extra +5 Int (and +5 to every other stat for 1 minute) by using Oath of Vengeance, the Ash of War from the Grafted Blade Greatsword.
@@p1ngerss Yeah, but he doesn't even need to upgrade Strength at all if he uses Radagon's Soreseal, the Strength-knot Crystal Tear and has Godrick's Great Rune activated for +20 extra Strength.
Very fun and interesting run. Neat video. It actually inspired me to do a similar run, but with incantations ( Prisoner-Class, lowest base-faith, never allowed to level said faith while only allowed to use incants , stat-boosting gear allowed ). Very interesting how Elden Ring has all these possibilities to boost stats without having to level them.
I remember watching you for your for honour crusader montages but this, this does put a smile to my face, so please big please, do more of these they're so good
You… you don’t need to give Nepheli the potion. You can give it to Gideon to dispose of it, and Selivus’s quest continues as normal. You just need to find his puppet basement and buy both of his summons.
I wanted to try a run in DS3 as a mage too stupid for the magic teacher to be willing to talk to. Farron dart has an int req of like 6, but the minimum int to proficiently use a staff was 10. DS3's only int boosting item is late game and you can eventually get a simple infused item for passive fp regen (which you can't do in Elden ring)
When you said you recorded this video like a year ago I was like man, he really sat on this one for a long ass time. Now I get it. This video is pure comedic gold, and so fucking enjoyable. I haven’t felt this much pure joy from watching a video in so long. Wonderful. It just needed time to cook.
For anyone doing a sorcery run, Night Comet does loads of damage, can't be input read since it's invisible, and is efficient enough to be a main attack. Don't forget to off-hand the night staff for the massive damage bonus.
ah yes, cent very quietly saying "lmao get bodied" at 9:46. Nice vid, I might have to take some notes from this if I want to do a total order ending without using a respec.
Bro, just discovered the channel and...my god the jokes, the storytelling, the vidéo idea...everything is perfect And when i heard you never finished the game before, i couldn't believe it 💀
Fun fact! Those "input reads" aren't actually input reads, but they might as well be since they read that you are firing out a ranged attack, but you can abuse this with dragon breath (big cloud) and stars if ruin (delay and very fast bullets) and a barrage bow can be used to almost dogelock enemies
It's not an input read if it looks for an animation, then it would be an animation read. The godskin duo are a good example, they don't heal punish and aggro switch if you use any item, but they do if you use a flask. Just like how a shortfin mako is not a longfin mako but they are still both extremely fast sharks
Commander Nial is the only bossfight in a videogame that made me rage. No other boss in no other game did that! Mostly, because of the stupid ass knights and the fact that sometimes, the knight outside could also join the fight! So I'm with you, I HATE this fight!
I actually like that fight, the summons are annoying, but manageable, Waves of Darkness is able to interrupt the Dual Sword guy's attacks. Also if you use the shortcut and sneak you won't ever have any enemies join in. Also a Bewitching Branch can turn one of the summons on him, so there's that as well. First time around though, not so much, hated the prick.
I love sorcery. I did my first run on release as a mage only. The only weapons I used were the moonlight GS. I was a honest all round multi class mage. The only run I haven't done was this one and now I don't have to. Thank you for doing this one for us King. Loved the video also can't wait to see you do the Faith video at lowest faith. Btw now that you know Rock sling is the best Sorcery spell for anything and everything (mostly bosses), I can't wait for you to use Black Flame and see it's true potential :D
Honestly, this run isn't even that hard, Marco Yolo made it much harder on himself. If you use the albinauric staff you can get incredible damage with no int. Same thing with the prince of death's staff and rancorcall, which I'm guessing he didn't use because he forgot that spell exists. But it would trivialized a lot of fights, especially Radahn, Radagon and Elden Beast, since it has perfect tracking and very long range. Radahn can't dodge it, Radagon can't parry it and the Elden Beast can't outrun it. Hourah Loux would have also been easy with oracle bubbles since he's too stupid to not walk into them.
You could have had a much easier time if you had used the albinauric staff, as arcane increases your resistance to holy damage, which Radagon and the Elden Beast both deal in spades. Plus is has a better scaling off of arcane than the prince of death's staff has off of faith. The prince of death's staff would have been better if you had used rancorcall, which would have also trivialized a lot of the fights since it has perfect tracking, near infinite range, deals good magic damage and can be gotten pretty early. So all in all, you made things a lot harder for yourself than it was necessary
gotta really apreciate that, in the spirit of the run, he din't just go for alternative scaling staves, like the albinauric, serpent or prince of death's staff
Something I thought of. Since you're using the 'staff' to deal magic damage couldn't that be buffed with Scholar's Armament to make the damage way better?
@@yugijak Even if it could be buffed i dont think it would work. Weapon buffs, as far as i know, only apply to skills where you actually hit the enemy wiht the weapon (like spinning weapon) , not projectiles like the corzier
