Khao Sok National Park is located in southern Thailand and is known for its stunning biodiversity.
The park features lush rainforests, limestone cliffs, and the picturesque Cheow Lan Lake.
It's one of the oldest rainforests in the world, dating back over 160 million years.
The park is a haven for various wildlife, including elephants, gibbons, and diverse bird species.
Visitors can explore caves, trek through the jungle, and enjoy boat tours on the lake.
The Ratchaprapha Dam within the park creates the stunning Cheow Lan Lake, surrounded by towering limestone formations.
Ratchaprapha Dam, which created the Cheow Lan Lake in Khao Sok National Park, was constructed in the 1980s as part of a hydroelectric project in Thailand.
The dam was built to generate electricity and manage water resources.
The reservoir formed by the dam submerged valleys and created the picturesque lake surrounded by limestone cliffs and lush rainforests.
While the dam primarily serves practical purposes, its unintended consequence was the transformation of the landscape, making it a scenic and ecologically rich area, attracting tourists and nature enthusiasts.
The park offers a unique blend of natural beauty and historical significance.

Durch die vielen Reise Blogs hier auf UA-cam habe ich gelernt, wie wunderschön und schützenswert unser Planet ist. Auf diesen virtuellen Reisen finde ich deshalb nicht nur authentische Reisetipps, Naturerlebnisse und besondere Unterkünfte, sondern auch Denkanstöße und Tipps, um nachhaltig(er) unterwegs zu sein.
Einfach traumhaft, dieser Blick vom Balkon in die Tiefen des Dschungels ... "Drum prüfe, wer sich ewig bindet" schon wunderbar, so eine pompöse Hochzeitsfeier, wie Du sie für einen kurzen Moment auf Deinem Video festgehalten hast...
Dieses Zusammenwachsen der Bäume, wie es bei MInute 7:50 zu sehen ist, ist wirklich surreal so traumhaft-unwirklich.
Der Khao Sok Nationalpark ist mit Sicherheit einer der schönsten vielleicht auch der schönste Ort in Thailand ... Die Landschaften, insbesondere der Nationalpark Thailands, sind äußerst reizvoll und werden Gewiss (noch) als echter Geheimtipp angesehen.
Mit seiner vielfältigen Flora und Fauna als Sehenswürdigkeit ist der Park wahrscheinlich auch ein beliebtes Ziel für diverse Wanderungen und Trekkingtouren. Zwischen dem dichten immergrünen Regenwald kann man sicherlich viel entdecken ... zudem gibt es im Khao Sok Nationalpark viele kleine und große Wasserfälle und unzählige Höhlen, in denen man unter anderem Fledermäuse 🦇 und Spinnen 🕷 antreffen kann.
Mit einer atemberaubenden Landschaft geprägt von riesigen Felsformationen, tiefem Dschungel, tropischen Wasserfällen und versteckten Höhlen beherbergt der Nationalpark zahlreiche interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten. Eine der Hauptattraktionen ist zweifellos der Chiao-Lan-See - ein gigantischer Stausee mitten im Urwald - wo man wie im Video zu sehen ist spektakuläre Bootstouren unternommen werden können.
Bei einer Fahrt mit den landestypischen Longtailbooten genießt man eine unbeschreiblich schöne Landschaft! Besonders spektakulär so finde ich sind die mächtigen Felsen, die hunderte Meter aus dem See ragen und eine gigantische Kulisse zaubern. So entdeckt man auch unterwegs immer wieder kleine Höhlen, die man wohl ebenfalls erkunden kann ...
Allein die Landschaft erinnert mich ein wenig an "Jurassic Park", aber ich glaube auch, dass dort der Film "Beach" mit Leonardo DiCaprio gedreht wurde.
Bei der traumhaften Aussicht muss das Essen doppelt so gut geschmeckt haben... Zumal der Fisch und das Curry wirklich lecker aussahen. 🐍💞🦎✌🙏

Thank you for sharing this video. We were there a month ago and our bungalow was in the middle of nowhere deep in the jungle but we enjoyed the isolation. Next time I will make sure to stay near the market and national park. We did a hike in the national park and came across very beautiful monkeys.

Ați avut o cazare cu o priveliște superbă. 😂 mi-a plăcut de soțul tău, era foarte încântat de mica escapadă în ploaie. Doamne, ce imagini, mai ales cele filmate din șalupă. Doua cratere sau prabusit si au format de lungul timpului niste peisage minunate car enu mai in povesti pot fi descrise. Imi place caci ei l amasa pun multa culoare . Hello..which airport did you land into? Also where did you book the pvt taxi and homestay from?
Hello, we have landed at the Surat Thani airport flying from Chiang Mai. We booked the homestead through booking dot com (If I leave the link it will be deleted). The homestay made all the arrangements, including the private taxi, who picked us up from the airport and witch costed about 40€ for 2 hours drive, just for us 2.

Majoritatea tarilor asiatice au acea calmitate si siguranta pe care o emana in atmosfera, nu te simti tensionat sau in pericol nici o clipa, cea ce se vede destul de bine si in acest video.

Hello! Thank you for watching! The resort organizes everything you want, from airport/ boat transfers (we were picked up from the airport and dropped to the pier for the Samui boat), Khao Sok National Park Tours, kayaking, bamboo boat tour, the food is cooked at home and is absolutely amazing! The prices are reasonable, you can ask the host, who is so kind, friendly and helpful. If you book through booking you can arrange everything you need by direct contact on booking, the host answers promptly. Don’t expect luxury, you can see it in the video, there is no pool or cocktail bar out there, but more like a familiar environment in the middle of the nature, which was our wish and it was fulfilled!
We would definitely return to it next time!
